Well if you want to move down the scale. http://www.mhsrv.com/2016-sportscoach-cross-country-404rb-w-4-slides-bunks-bath-amp-1-2-used-diesel-pusher-tx-i1991062 This is anouther good place to look. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/diesel/diesel-motorhomes.php Bill

  9. That will get your attention. I think the hornets were still upset when I got there. Interesting place I wouldn't mind going back. Bill
  10. Carl, you would love that area. More miles of off road than on road. Bill
  11. The campground we used, Frontier Bar & Campground had gas and a set of truck diesel pumps with easy acess. What was fun there are lots of jeep and 4 wheeler trails in that area. It would be nothing to se 5 or 6, 4 wheelers lined up getting gas. Bill
  12. I was up that way last summer. I drove us-2 across from St Ignace. I don't see a problem finding fuell. I start looking at 1/2 tank. Gasbuddy is your friend. Bill
  13. What do you have now? What about some thing like this? http://motorhomesoftexas.com/coachrv/foretravel/2007--nimbus--42342--P1261 You might look around on their site as they have several nice coaches. Bill
  14. Welcome to the forum. The first question is what model of Master Tow Dolly does your friend have? The web site shows one model the 80TDH is wider. http://www.mastertow.com/tow_dollies.html I have a Acme tow dolly with disk brakes I used to tow a Civic. You need to be absolutely clear on the proper procedure to set it up to tow. I believe on the Master you lock the steering so the wheels can't turn as it has a pivoting base plate. Any questions let me know. Bill
  15. I had Coach Net and The one time I used it it worked well. However I went with the current service offered by FMCA because Coach Net had gone up to almost double. You do understand all any of these services are, is a service to connect you to someone to do the work. You get the choice 1. have a tech come to you or 2. have the coach towed to some place to have the work done. If you have someone come out and they can't fix it, it is on you now to pay for the tow. Either way you will be paying for parts and labor. Bill
  16. If your budget is a constraint I would be looking at a used diesel pusher. Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. How much are they trying to charge for this insurance? I believe Herman is right and I doubt they will do a coach over 10 years old or the price gets silly high. I would take the money and put it in the bank. Have you had the coach checked out by a competent inspector? Bill
  18. Welcome to the forum. Most times you can stay an extra day at the rally price. I would call FMCA and ask about Chandler and the operator will direct you. If you can't get a answer call the Facility at Chandler and see about staying longer. Bill
  19. I have a all wheel drive and it workes fine. The standard auto works the same. I don't know if they ever made a standard in the CR-V but I would get a auto because of the better resale. Bill
  20. Welcome to the forum. When I was in Moab this last summer we stayed out on 191 out toward Spanish Valley at OK RV Park, 3310 Spanish Valley Dr, Moab, UT 84532, okrvpark.com, (435) 259-1400. You need to get your map out Arches and Canyonlands are in the northern part of the state and Zion, Brice are 300 miles south. Capitol Reef is about in the center. In the south we stayed at Leeds RV Park, 97 Valley Rd, Leeds, UT 84746, leedsrvpark.com, (435) 879-2450. Don't forget great places like Antelope Island and Promontory Point. Bill
  21. Kent welcome to the forum. I agree that both items should be covered under warranty. Bill
  22. They are probably on the road. That is another long day about 11-12 hours. Bill
  23. You might be able to have it repaired or find a replacement/parts. Kind of sounds like a problem on the board. https://www.mmrvelectronics.com/product-page/65aacc80-0588-29dd-6eaa-d7166c1579d8 or https://rvpartsexpress.com/product/dual-thermostat/ Bill
