  1. Welcome to the forum. I don't understand what you mean by having the main engine and the generator sync. as "gen and engine would not sync". Fault code 27 is Controller unable to sense output voltage. This could point to a bad stator or controller or just a bad connection. Have you/the people checking it checked the stator output voltage. The stator output voltages. Should be 20VAC RMS across each phase while cranking. Don't crank the generator for more than 30 seconds. If the phase voltage is good it would point to the inverter/converter unit. The last part makes me question the auto transfer switch. Someone with more knowledge on this will jump in soon. Bill
  2. Welcome to the forum. I agree with Ian that the first thing is to get a good front end alignment I might even inquire about a all wheel alignment. That way you know everything is set right. Wolfe10 is correct in how to "rotate" your tires. Let us know what the shop has to say. Most shops will give you a print out showing the before and after settings on your alignment. Bill
  3. The best practice is to keep your loose nuts in a sac or pouch to protect them till you need them. Bill
  4. Herman did say you had a screw loose. Or was that a loose screw. Bill
  5. Glad DW is doing well. It is here job to keep you on your toes. You can tell her I said GOOD JOB. Bill
  6. Welcome to the forum. I would start by calling the campground you were going to use and ask about "storage" for a week. Bill
  7. The Op's problem was it is getting to cold. I asked what the outside temps were but got no answer. I am inclined to believe the only problem is it is working to good because the setting is to low for the ambient temps. Bill
  8. Yes it would be a good idea to start with no frost. However I was pointing out the fact that the presence of frost on the fins does not mean the unit is not operating normally. These are not frost free units. Bill
  9. Desertdeals69, I hope you have a good place to stay for a few extra days till this weather pattern moves through. The routes south are getting hammered with ice. Bill
  10. Be aware the fins will frost over during normal operation. These are not frost free units. Bill
  11. My question to the OP is what is your axle weight rating front and rear? Was it just the tires overloaded? Bill
  12. The problem is you let the magic smoke out. I think Jo is on the right track. Bill
  13. Watch that weather and let the roads get clear. I wouldn't want to drive on black ice. You don't want to get that new paint job all scratched up. Bill
  14. Welcome to the forum and to that unfortunate group of the first dig. Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new coach. Are you hiring someone to look over the coach before you buy it? Be sure to check the date codes on ALL the tires. You don't want to be replacing all the tires right away. 7 years is the standard most go with. If reasonable care and maintenance was done I don't see a problem. 110,000 is a low mileage engine in diesels. You were asking about what might wear out and you mentioned brakes. I don't remember anyone needing to replace brakes on a diesel pusher. You might if you don't use the engine brake in about 250,000 miles. I am NOT a fan of aftermarket warranties. Bank the money. Most of these companies are awfully good at denying claims. Later when you have time there are dozens of post about warranty company problems. Do you have a planned route back to the Denver area? I would leave Elkhart on I-90 West to I-80 you could just follow I-80 but if the weather looks bad you might want to drop down to I-70. I drove That route this summer and it wasn't as bad as some make out. You are not getting into the main Chicago area. I would make it a fairly short day the first day. How long do you have to make the trip back? When are you doing the trip? When you start out take your time, here are a couple videos you might like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5MSGqfh8z0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldekjpYQ7Qw If you have any questions please ask. Bill
  16. Welcome to the forum Ricky. Like Herman said look carefully at the plastic for cast in numbers. Bill
  17. Welcome to the forum. Try setting it to the warmest setting and hold the door open for 5-10 minutes. What is the outside temp? You might try shutting it off for a couple minutes then re starting. Let us know how it works.Bill
  18. Welcome and sorry to hear about your problems. Were you hooked up to shore water when it froze? Have you tried using the water pump? Long time ago I spent some time in real cold weather in a older coach. Do you have a small ceramic/electric heater you can put in the bay with the water pump? When you get it thawed out I would fill the onboard tank and as obedb said drain and store the water hose or buy the heated one if you are going to be in the cold for an extended period. The next problem is when you have to dump. I would place the extra heat in with the drain valves to make shure they aren't frozen. Definitely don't leave your sewer hose connected and the gray water valve open. You could end up with a big tube of ice. Yes this is from first hand experience. Bill
  19. Where can I send the "Welcome to Texas" package. Bill
  20. Are you scheduling your travel to be in Chandler for the rally? I know what spotty internet is like. Bill
  21. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your new coach. In a word no. I think you would be better off putting what the extended warranty cost in a savings account. I would read and understand the manufactuers warranty. Follow maintenance requirements to the letter and keep good records. The most important thing is go have fun with your new coach. Bill
  22. What you mean the water standing in the shower isn't the"full tank" indicator..... Bill
