Who needs to reseal an empty bottle? Bill
  3. Glad you made it in safe and sound. If your next stop is El Paso that is a long day You might want to spend the night in Tucson. That is about half way. I know I don't like those 500+ mile days. Bill
  4. For those who don't know what that is here's a video showing all the different ways through it (some have way to much time) and different approaches. There is nothing to be scared of unless you are on the upper levels in a ice storm. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gSaUAC7cbOY We have so much traffic we have to have 2 I-35 freeways one 35E and 35W. I wish I had a video of the construction on I-35W and North 820. Maybe I just wish I had a concrete factory. Bill
  5. Upon Further Review as they say, I am inclined to say the FLT is just an (weird) abbreviation for Fault. You said it did it before after sitting for a while so take it for a road trip and see if it clears. May just need some exercise. Bill
  6. Here is a set of wiring diagrams. They are for a 04 but should be pretty close. http://www.spartanchassis.com/cps/login/UploadedFiles/0155-GG7 2004.75 NEWMAR DUTCH STAR WITH 03 ISL 370 VGT 021104_12720061005597748750.pdf I would start by checking all the conections. Sometimes these faults clear after driving for a while. Your brakes should work just fine but won't have the ABS feature. Let us know what you find. Bill
  7. Welcome to the forum Jerry. Unfortunately you are finding out why many on hear (Me included) self insure. Put the money in a savings account and if you don't need it you have money to put down on the next coach. I may just be lucky but the only repair I have done was to replace a convection /microwave oven. I spent less than the $500.00 deductible in the OPs post. Bill
  8. What does she have against Dallas? Well that is still I-10 to I-20 I would stop before Hitting the DFW area on I-20 look at Cowtown RV Park, 7000 I-20 Frontage RD, Aledo, Texas 76008, cowtownrvpark.com, (817)441-7878. My next recommended stop is in Little Rock (this is my favorite first night stop heading east on I-30) Downtown Riverside RV Park, 50 Riverfront Dr, North Little Rock, AR 72114, downtownriversidervpark.com, (501) 340-5312. Nice right on the banks of the Arkansas River. Bill
  9. You could run I-10 all the way to I-95 then go north. Depends on where in NC you are headed. One outher way is to do I-10 to where I-20 splits off in west Texas then follow I-20 to where it joins I-30 in Fort Worth then to Little Rock and pick up I-40 there. If you do go that way use I-20 around the south of the Fort Worth Dallas area and follow 635 north to I-30. Bill
  10. I am glad you can use those benefits. You deserve them. What route are you taking east Huff I-10 or I-40? Bill
  11. I bought groups 33 start batteries at Freightliner. They were OEM about a month old and only $69.95. Bill
  12. This is probbabley the best. Randolph 345 Acid Proof Battery Box Black Paint http://www.skygeek.com/345qt.html?utm_source=googlebase One extra step if/when you have everything clean. As a prep step use a Phosphate rinse like this one. http://www.por15.com/ . Now I think if cleaned properly the bead liner material may work as well. Or just use a couple of coats of a good paint (rattlecan) like rustoleum. Everything is now easily available with the internet. Brett what do you use on the boat? Bill
  13. When you pull your old batteries out scrub the bay with baking soda and rinse well then paint with an acid resistant paint. Bill
  14. I am running T6 now and my oil samples are coming back excellent. Also if you buy before the first there is a $5.00 a gallon rebate. http://rotella.shell.com/coupons-rebates-and-sweepstakes/save-5-per-gallon.html I have run the Mobil 1 Turbo Diesel Truck and had good results with it as well. Bill
  15. Besides Google maps I have been using COPilot for navigation because it doesn't use data. You download the maps ahead of time. I have found it to be very accurate. Bill
  16. I installed mine before the turbo. I did a lot of reading and research and nearly all the instructions were for before the turbo gave more accurate readings. Some on the truck forums have one before and one after. My conclusion is you are trying to know what the temperatures are in the cylinder. I hear people worried about melting the turbo. But I bet you melt the piston tops way before you melt the high temp steel in the turbo hot side. Bill
  17. Carl are you coming to Chandler? Bill
  18. Carl, I like the filter before the pump to catch any thing that you might pick up at/ with bad fuel. Ultimately all the fuel will go through the filter cleaning it so I think you are good to go. Bill
  19. Interesting as google maps is quite accurate. Google earth shows what side of the house I am in. Bill
  20. Glad to hear you are coming. Have you found a place to stop before going into Chandler to be parked? You want to go in with full water and empty holding tanks. I have reservations, for 2 nights (March 4, 5 leaving on 6) at Silverado RV Resort in Eloy, AZ which is 45 miles from Chandler. The rate is $35 a night with a 2 night minimum and a $25 non-refundable deposit. Like all the area parks the sites are back-ins. This may not work for you but we are coming from FW and will be parking with the Red River Rovers club. Last I heard we will be going in early on the 6th. Bill
  21. I think there are only about 5 different keys used for the industry. If you want better security you need to change the locks. You can buy sets of locks (keyed alike) from any lock smith store. Bill
  22. I was having problems with spell check in Internet Explorer but if I use Chrome it works sortuf. Bill
  23. Welcome to the forum kenschmidt. Is the line in the Aqua Hot or to one of the radiators? We need more information. One of the Aqua Hot experts will be along soon. Bill
  24. Jim, I have 3, one in the wet bay two in the coach set to come on at 40*. I really not concerned with the cost. If I thought it was going to go below 20* I would leave both furnaces on set on the lowest setting. The good news hear in Texas the cold snap will only last 3 days then it will be back to lowes in the 40's. Billl
