Our Holiday Travel Misadventure-- So Far
wildebill308 replied to huffypuff's topic in General Discussion
Yep and you have to go through Houston. With rest stops and lunch I would calculate 11-12 hours. We need to start a pool on how long it will take. Bill -
I hate being stuck in the present. Just got back from supper and several cold beers and had a thought (sometimes it takes inspiration). Try taking your o ring to a hydraulic shop. They should have a large selection to choose from. or I found a selection on Amazon of 225 o rings for under $7.00. Probably cheaper than a new hose. I think I need another beer for all that work. Have a safe trip. You are right it is a long day about 550 miles. Bill -
I would leave the inverter off as it has a drain in standby mode. How long is going to depend on any parasitic loads. It may be you just have to monitor the battery level till you get a feel for how long they will stay up. Without knowing exactly what your loads are I would be guessing. Sounds like a good excuse to spend some time in the RV. Do you have power where you are parked? I would just set it up like you were dry camping and do a test. Bill

That sounds like someone read the manual. Glad you got it working. Bill

Central Heat - Intellitec ECC and relay
wildebill308 replied to ElmondTX1's topic in Systems and Appliances
Welcome to the forum. I am not familiar with that exact system. Pictures and part numbers would help. Is/does the ECC work like a thermostat or is there a different thermostat? Bill -
Unfortunately it sometimes takes a couple tries to find a good fit. That is one of the reasons we hold Chapter Fairs at bigger get togethers like the 6 State. You get to talk to different groups face to face. Bil

Welcome to the forum notlookinback. The first thing I would do is make shure both breakers are not tripped on the generator. I would look at your manual for your EMS system to see how that leg(hot water heater refrigerator) is set up and if there is a circuit breaker for that leg. Bill

Toni, Congratulations on your Bounder. Do you have enough space to go to 4- 6 volt batteries? I am not familiar with the space available but if there is room I would think about the 4 6 volts to give more capacity. Bill

Now I am just confused. Got me on an old thread, I need another beer. Bill

Every day is FREE if you are over 62 and have a Senior Pass. This covers everyone in your car. I believe I have gotten my $10.00 back. https://www.nps.gov/planyourvisit/passes.htm Bill

Lets start with basics. I would shut off all the water and take the line loose at the new faucet. Now using an appropriate container turn on the water pump. If you get water out of the line there maybe a plug left in the new faucet or it is clogged up. If you don't get water you can back track. I bet it is a plug left in the new faucet. Let me know if I was right or wrong. Bill

Me too. Nice coach, are you coming to Chandler? Bill
-
Yep but I will drive 1000 to have lunch with you in Chandler. Bill

The number should be on the bulb. Take the old bulb to any parts store they should have replacements. Buy a spare. Bill

There are a lot worse places to be. Did you know The Original Cafe Du Monde Coffee Stand was established in 1862 in the New Orleans French Market. The Cafe is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They are the primary reason men wore white suits in that area. The powdered sugar from the Beignets would get all over, so it was better to wear white so it didn't show. http://www.cafedumonde.com/ One outher of many favorite places is The Old Coffeepot. I liked everything especially the shrimp in cajun bbq sauce. http://www.theoldcoffeepot.com/ Have you taken the tour to the battle of NO battlefield? Bill -
Intermittent Generator Fail When Engine Running

Keep us informed on what you find. Bill -
I think doing the retrofit of the CCV would not be cost effective. Like Brett says I would definitely install a catch can to your slobber tube. I used a 1/2 gal plastic bottle with a few holes drilled in the top to let the gasses out. Because you have been running without a catch can or extended slobber tube. Be sure to clean your CAC and radiator to prevent overheating this coming summer. Bill

Welcome to the forum. I would call and talk to Rush Truck Center before driving over there. See if you can get in or schedule an appointment. Someone from the area may have a pet place or you can look on RV Service Reviews. I have driven through LA a couple of times and know about the traffic. http://www.rvservicereviews.com/Index.asp Bill

Intermittent Generator Fail When Engine Running
wildebill308 replied to kstaf4d@att.net's topic in Electrical
Fault code 27 is Controller unable to sense output voltage. Bill -
Ok back to the ceramic heaters. Is there any insulation on the bottom of that compartment? I would be adding some if I was operating in the super cold areas. Bill
-
So is that the back of the aqua hot straight back? I would think that would give off enough heat to prevent freezing. Bill
-
Tracy, a small ceramic heater will work if you are hooked up to shore power or running the generator. It will produce more heat than a single light bulb. When the temperature gets realey cold open the doors under the sinks to let warm air circulate. Herman, Is the manifold on the left for the aquahot? That should provide some heat to that area. Bill
