  1. randigreene, welcome to the forum. Hear is a video talking about the new trap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2QV6drbFbK0 I am wondering if yours is defective or the drop in the drain line isn't enough to get it to drain. I would definitely let Tiffin know you have a problem. Why not call and see if there is a fix. I am betting you aren't the only one with a problem. Bill

    Generator

Herman, that is good info. I just haven't moved into the modern world of all electric RVing. I haven't used a curtain but do shut the door to the back and run the air control on recirculate. I don't have a problem using the furnace if it is cold or the roof air (and generator) if it gets to hot. Carl, I would think the refrigerator would run off the batteries and inverter while going down the road. As a side note Herman and I hate soft melting ice cream. "The same applies when it's summer and hot (90+/=) , humid conditions! In West Texas, I'll run the dash air since I don't have "swamp coolers"! :(" Carl, 90deg is a nice warm spring day. I have lived with swamp coolers, I now prefer that "refrigerated air" Now, year before last, I was in Phoenix Az. and it was a warmish 112 I ran the roof air and the dash air and wished I had a extra swamp cooler to. 3. Why would he be unhappy when he gets the bill? They will give you an estimate and it is your choice to proceed or not. Bill

    Generator

Ok I am wondering about how well the Aqua Hot works. Wouldn't that keep you warm? I have never had one to play with. Bill

    Generator

Why are you not running the gas furnace? Much cheaper and will keep you warmer. Bill
  6. The only thing I can add is I like having a catch can on the end of the slobber tube to catch the slobber rather than having it blow on the toad or the back of the coach. Just make sure it is vented enough to allow the blow by to vent. Bill
  7. Welcome to the forum. I am partial so I recommend a 2014 or older Honda CR-V. Bill
  8. The only standard in motorhomes is there is no standard. They will vary in the same model and during the model year. Bill
  9. Kl please add your coach to your signature as it helps to get good answers. See my sig as an example. Bill
  10. It should only surge/exceed the usual load on start up. My units stage the load so it doesn't hit all at once. I don't know if it will help but I seem to remember a post about using a "hard start capacitor" to help with the start up of the AC units. You might do a little research on that. Bill

    Generator

I still don't think there is any thing wrong with your generator. I just think it was cold 38 is cold for a diesel. I have seen many tractors and trucks that put out a bunch of blue diesel smoke till they warm up. I ran my generator to day. I didn't get any blue smoke but it was 72. Bill
  12. Welcome to the forum. Let me see if I understand this. The web site doesn't list a lube pump for your application and when you called they confirmed it won't work on your application. Let me think.........Yes I see at least 3 answer's to your problem. 1) A big repair bill because you tried to adapt a oil pump or 2) a trailer in your future or 3) an different toad. Bill
  13. Did you clean the spark arrester? Did you give it time to warm up before applying a load? Bill
  14. You might find this helpful in comparing different size tires. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ As Brett warned watch out for the age of the new tires. Bill
  15. Try this, make your decal and cover it with heavy Mylar tape. Clean the surface with scotch bright and and actone before applying. You might be able to seal around the tape to make it more secure. Next method would be to vibro engrave the wheel and fill the etching with paint to highlight it. Bill
  16. Welcome to the forum. What does your owners manual say? What does the dealer /factory say? Bill
  17. Was there this last summer. Watched two changing of the guard and the laying of 3 wreaths. You won't see any Cardasians or Jenner's doing this. Bill

    Generator

I bet it is just because it is cold. Why are you adding oil? was it low? Did you check it before starting? Have you been doing your regular Exercise routine with your generator (following your owners hand book) or was this a "because I need power run"? I wouldn't worry about being a little over on the service time. Bill
  19. Welcome to the forum Joseph. You didn't say what bushings are worn but here is a link to when I replaced my sway bar bushings. It made a nice difference. http://community.fmca.com/topic/8004-sway-bar-bushings-bad/ I expect the Cat dealer can fix your problem. If you can do the work your self it is a lot cheaper. Also it would be helpful if you added your coach to your signature. It helps you get better answers in the future, see my signature as an example. Bill
  20. Welcome to the forum Fordiesel250, You realize this post was last posted on 15 May 2014 - 04:17 PM so they may not be on be on hear now. It would be helpful if you added your coach to your signature, see mine as an example. This way you will get better answers when you ask questions. Bill

  22. The first attachment shows a hero. On a lighter note the second one shows the difference between blizzards in NY and Texas. Bill
  23. I think what we are seeing is the industry is trying to appeal to the first time buyers not the people with experience. Case in point the wave of second bath rooms. This is more for people who haven't spent much time in a RV. The reason is two bathrooms automatically sounds better more desirable to the first timer. Just like looking at apartments or condos or even houses "we liked it but it only had one bathroom". Now they don't understand that in a 40ft coach for instance that space for the second bath has to come out of a limited space. You have to give up something for it. That most often is less counter space and less storage. The other big push is to make them look more spacious. Overhead cabinets that are not as deep both from the ceiling and back wall. This combined with all the lights and even mired surfaces to make it look more open. Bill
  24. If I was replacing my Brake Buddy I would be looking at the Blue Ox brake system as it doesn't use air and has it's own back up battery so it will work if you lose power. http://www.blueoxtowbars.com/products/Patriot_Braking_System,BRK2012 Bill
