jleamont, I doubt they will give you a problem in the Jeep after all you are from PA and not Texas. Don't forget your Passport. The best part of the falls is on the Canadian side. I had one start making noise this summer and was able to oil the bearings and prolong the life of the motor till we got home I am going to change it out in a few days when I get time. Bill

The welding cable will cost a lot more. I still haven't needed more 50 amp cable anywhere. A couple of add on things. I do carry a fairly heavy duty 10 gage extension cord and all the adapters to connect to anything. I can go from 15A up to 50A and back down. While we are talking power cords and what you need for your new RV. A surge guard is probably the most important item you need. Here is the one I have and it saved me once again this last summer from plunging in to a bad power supply. http://trci.net/products/surge-guard-rv/hardwires-portables/50a-portable-w-lcd-display Yes I know you can use a meter but that meter will only tell you what the power is when you are holding it. The Surge guard will monitor and shut off power in low and high power events. Bill

Jim, this is a good question. I haven't had to use an extension for 50amp service. So far I have ben able to position the coach so I could plug in. I do have a 50' 30 amp cord because I have ben to a couple of events where they only offered 30A and said it would be a fairly long run to the power supply. I do look at the 50A extension cords and think I ought to get one, but I haven't needed one. Now with water and sewer there is a no telling how much you will need. I have 4 sections of sewer hose and have needed all of it once or twice. I have water hose in 3,' 15', 25, and 50' and have actually used all of it in a state park to fill water with out moving. I was in Canada twice this last year each time I crossed I got hammered about "Did I have any firearms with me" One crossing was with the toad and wasn't to bad. On one crossing I had a two hour shakedown of the coach. "You are from Texas where are your guns?" I told them that knowing Canadian laws on firearms I did not bring any. "Do you own Firearms" Yes but knowing Canadian laws on firearms I did not bring any. The funny part is they had me run the slides out but never looked in the lower storage compartments. Where in western NY do you live? A long time ago I lived near Westfield. I was up that way in July. So what route are you planning on? I would expect I-90 to Toledo then maybe 23 to Flint and pick up I-75. Just before Sault Ste. Marie go west on 28. You will have to decide where you want to turn to get too the part of the park you want to visit. When you leave go west on 28 till you get to Wakefield where you can pick up rout 2 west to Teddy Roosevelt NP. From there you can go a couple of ways to Mt Rushmore. How long do you have time wise? If you are this close I would go west to Billings and back to the Little Bighorn Battlefield. Or you can go south on 85. You know you are not far from Yellowstone National Park. Bill

Why not just get a EZPass for each. I think you can have 4 EZPass'es peracount. Bill

I would go look and see if there is a filter behind the refrigerator. My water supply line splits off after the filter under the sink. Have you changed the filter under the sink? Use a mirror and flashlight to look up under the back of the sink it might split further up. Bill

As you know each EzPass is serial numbered to a specific car or motorhome. There was some one who said they just use the one from the motorhome when they take the toad. I bet they can't figure out why their bill is so high. They are getting charged the motorhome rates while driving their toad. I found I hit more toll roads getting around in the toad than in the motorhome especially around Portland Main. It was just easier to use the toll roads than driving non toll. Bill

Dudley, Brett gave you good advise. One of the first thing I check when having any problem with dash electrical is to check the ground. Some times just cleaning and tightening the ground will fix erratic behavior. Let us know what you find out. Bill

Just remember to take it off the windshield when the jeep is being towed behind the motorhome. You should have a bag to store it in so it isn't read or you will be charged twice. Bill

As they say "that depends" are you capable of doing the work or are you looking for a new harness? I don't see why it can't be repaired, all you need is access. When you go back together I would make shure all the sharp edges are covered with grommet and some plastic conduit around the wires to protect them. Bill
