  1. Welcome to the forum. Let me see if I understand this. The web site doesn't list a lube pump for your application and when you called they confirmed it won't work on your application. Let me think.........Yes I see at least 3 answer's to your problem. 1) A big repair bill because you tried to adapt a oil pump or 2) a trailer in your future or 3) an different toad. Bill
  2. Did you clean the spark arrester? Did you give it time to warm up before applying a load? Bill
  3. You might find this helpful in comparing different size tires. https://tiresize.com/comparison/ As Brett warned watch out for the age of the new tires. Bill
  4. Try this, make your decal and cover it with heavy Mylar tape. Clean the surface with scotch bright and and actone before applying. You might be able to seal around the tape to make it more secure. Next method would be to vibro engrave the wheel and fill the etching with paint to highlight it. Bill
  5. Welcome to the forum. What does your owners manual say? What does the dealer /factory say? Bill
  6. Was there this last summer. Watched two changing of the guard and the laying of 3 wreaths. You won't see any Cardasians or Jenner's doing this. Bill

    Generator

I bet it is just because it is cold. Why are you adding oil? was it low? Did you check it before starting? Have you been doing your regular Exercise routine with your generator (following your owners hand book) or was this a "because I need power run"? I wouldn't worry about being a little over on the service time. Bill
  8. Welcome to the forum Joseph. You didn't say what bushings are worn but here is a link to when I replaced my sway bar bushings. It made a nice difference. http://community.fmca.com/topic/8004-sway-bar-bushings-bad/ I expect the Cat dealer can fix your problem. If you can do the work your self it is a lot cheaper. Also it would be helpful if you added your coach to your signature. It helps you get better answers in the future, see my signature as an example. Bill
  9. Welcome to the forum Fordiesel250, You realize this post was last posted on 15 May 2014 - 04:17 PM so they may not be on be on hear now. It would be helpful if you added your coach to your signature, see mine as an example. This way you will get better answers when you ask questions. Bill
  10. The picture I posted is The Tomb Guard. Bill
  11. The first attachment shows a hero. On a lighter note the second one shows the difference between blizzards in NY and Texas. Bill
  12. I think what we are seeing is the industry is trying to appeal to the first time buyers not the people with experience. Case in point the wave of second bath rooms. This is more for people who haven't spent much time in a RV. The reason is two bathrooms automatically sounds better more desirable to the first timer. Just like looking at apartments or condos or even houses "we liked it but it only had one bathroom". Now they don't understand that in a 40ft coach for instance that space for the second bath has to come out of a limited space. You have to give up something for it. That most often is less counter space and less storage. The other big push is to make them look more spacious. Overhead cabinets that are not as deep both from the ceiling and back wall. This combined with all the lights and even mired surfaces to make it look more open. Bill
  13. If I was replacing my Brake Buddy I would be looking at the Blue Ox brake system as it doesn't use air and has it's own back up battery so it will work if you lose power. http://www.blueoxtowbars.com/products/Patriot_Braking_System,BRK2012 Bill
  14. Practical Or Impractical is in the eye of the beholder. Bill
  15. Welcome to the forum. What year are you looking at to tow? What does the Owners Manual say under towing? If it is a 2016 I would double check as some cars change from towable to not. Bill
  16. Good hope it stays that way. Bill
  17. Jim with your generator on a slide out changing the belt isn't that hard. Well worth doing. Bill
  18. You might want to re think that it has ben cold today only in the 50s but should be 63 on Monday. Yes, yes there are spots available. Bill
  19. Well yes and a little more. http://www.pplmotorhomes.com/preowned-motorhomes-rvs.htm?source=google&jt=1&jap=1t1&js=1&jsid=36861&jcpid=8a8ae4cd468849b401468f42e5ee2e3c&jkId=gcp:se_36861:t_kwd-1349867429:ag_6875677719:cp_116283999:n_g:d_c:cr_20815210959:fi_&gclid=Cj0KEQiA5oy1BRDQh6Wd572hsfkBEiQAfdTPClJN6s4PsAzU65gnUnn8qXpAIquvElpGLdrUizrfct0aAleW8P8HAQ Bill
  20. Here is one more "must be done right" item. Make sure the driveshaft u joints and slip shaft are properly lubricated. The drive shaft on your diesel pusher is short but takes a lot of stress. I think this is worth reviewing. Apply the recommended grease at the grease fitting on the U-joint until the new grease purges from all of the journal cross bearing seals. ◾Do not assume that bearing cavities have been filled with the new lubricant unless flow can be seen around all four bearing seals. If new grease does not purge at all four seals, loosen the bearing cap bolts and regrease until all four cups purge. ◾If new grease still does not purge, replace the U-joint. ◾If a different grease is being used, make sure it is compatible with the old grease and apply extra grease to purge out the old grease. Splined Slip Yokes: ◾Apply grease gun to grease fitting until new grease appears at the pressure relief hole in welch plug at slip yoke end of spline. ◾Cover the pressure relief hole (so that grease can flow easily to the seal) and continue to apply grease until new grease appears at slip yoke seal. These procedures should help prevent costly downtime and U-joint-related equipment failures. Copyright © 1998 Chevron U.S.A. Inc. All rights reserved. Bill
  21. Gunny, if you put your info in your signature(see min and Herman's) it will help get better answers and you don't have to do it every time. There are auto water devises out there if you decide to go with the wet cell golf cart battery's. Something like this. http://www.janwp.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=JANWP&Category_Code=JWPRV Bill
  22. Are they 12V or 6V? The dimensions make me think they are 12V. You can by 6V golf cart batteries at Sam's Club and I think they will do the install. You will probably need a couple more cables to do the hook up. Bill
  23. TCC will build you a new coach and I bet you won't have any problems. Bill
  24. No not my home turf. I actually grew up in far western NY State on Lake Erie. If you are ever up that way I have a few interesting places for you. Hear is one example. Chautauqua Institution, http://ciweb.org/ Just 150 miles East is The Corning Museum of Glass, http://www.cmog.org/ ok so that's two. I did find this app a while ago. You know those racks of brochures in the rest stops? Well hear is one for your computer/phone. Visitor Tips, From their web site, From Certified Folder Display Service, Inc., the largest distributor of visitor information in the US and Canada, Visitor Tips provides a unique twist on destination planning. After selecting a location, swipe through the digital brochure rack to find things to do, accommodations and activities at your next destination, or in your home town! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.visitortips.visitortips&hl=en Hearer is another good one for finding parks you didn't know about http://www.ohranger.com/ CoPiolet is a navigation app that I have used for the last couple of years and has the ability to show you different things along a rout. The good thing you can down load the maps on Wi-Fi and it doesn't use "data" while you drive. Chimani National Parks https://www.chimani.com/ is useful. Bill
