Subaru - CAN or CAN NOT tow?

Welcome to the forum. I think it is pretty clear what their official position is, The owner's manual no longer mentions RV towing. Bill -

Do you have any places to stop picked out? I looked at my list of places I have stayed along I-40 and have several I have used. On your end the first place may be to close as it is about 175 miles from Roanoke, but some times a short first day is a good thing. Rocky Top Campground & RV Park, 496 Pearl Ln, Blountville, TN 37617 Next going South is Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Nashville, 2572 Music Valley Dr, Nashville, TN 37214, nashvillejellystone.com (615) 889-4225. Great for exploring Nashville. Next is Little Rock, Downtown Riverside RV Park, 250 S Locust St, North Little Rock, AR 72114, northlittlerock.org, (501) 340-5312. This is my favorite place to stay coming and going on I-40. It is about the right distance from Fort Worth for that first day out and last day coming back. Nice park on the river. What route are you going on from hearer? Bill

Some where on that brochure in very fine print I bet it says "may not be the same as actual product" I know the older Bounders have the fill door. May be a older picture, I wonder if 16 is the first year they changed. amwilson1966, If you are going through your fresh water tank and need to pump more in you are going to need a pump out. Bill

From what I was reading in the fine print it only goes to 4 gal per person on the rebate. Bill

If it was $12.97 per gallon it probably wasn't T-5 or T6 Bill

Nice coach. Bill

Just an update. I wasn't clear on the date code so when I took my old battery's back to get my core charge back I asked. What I thought was a code for the size/group was actually the date code. The (B6) actually translates to February 2016. Just for clarification this is the entry level battery in their system and has a one year free replacement warranty. Bill

I found a great dry film lube at my John Deere shop. It is a good spray for use on the pins and places you don't want to attract dirt. It stays on better and is heavier duty than others I have tried. Bill

Brett, the part number is APB 31S925 They are the Alliance Truck Parts original equipment starting battery (B6). Alliance Truck Parts is Freightliner's house brand. Carl, be glad you have a slide. Herman, these are the Freightliner house brand, maintenance free, so any where there is a Freightliner shop. Bill

Welcome to the forum. I don't know on your coach but I would do as jleamont suggested above and call Monaco. I would have your vin number handy. They should be able to supply a complete wiring diagram. Just curious as I don't have any "belly pans" are these like the ones on a trailer? Bill

Can't make it this time. Bill

My start batteries have ben acting like they were on their end of service life. Always started but dragged just a little this last week on a short trip. I was thinking it was time to replace them. Well my mind was made up for me when I walked into my local Freightliner shop. They had a stack of original equipment start battery's on sale for $69.00. I bought two before any thing else. I thought this was a pretty good deal as they normally go for $179.38 ea. They are rated CCA @ zero 925 CA @ 32-f 1110 Reserve Capacity 170. I don't know if they are running this at all Freight liner shops but it might be worth looking if you are going to be in need of new start batteries. I went down and installed them this afternoon. I would just go up 341 to Perry. See the links that Bett posted. Bill

Identify Motorhome in Google Earth Image

I repeat what I said 13 February 2013 - 10:27 AM, I think it is something to run away from. Run Forest Run. If you need some thing to waste money on I know where there is a 1975 25' Executive in Texas. Bill -
I did see a positive for a fifth wheel today walking around the RV park I am in today. It was misting and there were a couple people sitting under the front overhang out of the rain. FIVE having a couple inches of more room in a trailer does not make up for loosing all the storage in a Class A. Bill

I haven't been able to find out specific details on how the ISX650 fails. Dropping a valve is generic. I am interested in what specifically failed. Did the keepers shear or the rings on the valve fail or valve head separate all or partial? Inquiring minds want to know. Bill

Unfortunately the rebate is on T-6 and T-5. Bill

I use Rotella T-6 and was happy to see they are running their $5.00 a gallon rebate program again this year. You can find out how to get the rebate on their web site. http://rotella.shell.com/promotions/synthetic-oil.html#iframe-L2RpeS9zcHJpbmcxNi9PMTE2MC8= Bill

I bought my bushings at Pep Boys. nearly any auto parts store has them. They are a generic type part. Ask for the bushings don't ask for bushings for XYZ motor home. Here is what I posted before: http://community.fmca.com/topic/8004-sway-bar-bushings-bad/ Let me know if you have questions. Bill

Carl, not arguing about what the local cops told you. What I quoted is from the Texas Motor Vehicle Registration Manual The part on "tow dolly's" is under semitrailers. Fun fact, tow dolly's for use behind a motorhome are not registered or controlled but the dolly behind the main wheels on a ready mix truck to spread the weight are licensed. Bill
