Who, What, When, Where or Just Lets Talk
wildebill308 replied to hermanmullins's topic in General Discussion
Maybe I am just cheap. I did think this special for a couple burgers was just a little pricey. Well it does come with fries. What do you think? https://www.flemingssteakhouse.com/promotions/caymus-and-two-burgers Bill -
Welcome to the forum. Well did it start? Bill

Is your generator on a slide out? I would look over the generator. Bill

Congratulations on the new coach. No experience with that dealer. Please keep us informed. What exactly are they doing? Bill

Ignots213, Welcome to the form. The only thing I would suggest is to weigh your RV. 4 corner is best but at least axle weights will certainly help you get the right load range and air pressure. I would listen to jleamont he has experience managing a major truck fleet. Let us know what you find out/decide. Bill

Herman, it doesn't matter. I kind of like the idea that happens in each time zone and the sound rolls across this land. To remind us and to tell everyone "WE REMEMBER" Bill

Rich, the problem is he isn't using "real gages" he has one of those charge kits with just a color coded gage. If it is in the middle of the green and cooling ok he should be ok. When it leaks down again I would take it to someone who can do a proper leak check. Bill

Same with home insurance in the Metroplex after bad hail and tornadoes. If the people who are complaining about the cost should just pay for service out of pocket. One time would make them change their mind on how expensive it is. They may be lucky and never need to use it or have any problems on the road. Bill

Welcome to the forum. Lots of good ideas so far. As stated above not really enough information to make a good diagnosis. First wag is try starting the generator. This will charge the batteries and run the shades. Or start the main engine as Herman said then start the generator because it should charge the batteries faster. You should run the generator monthly any way. Bill

Plans for rallies amid Covid 19 pandemic
wildebill308 replied to Louiseg1948's topic in Chapters, Chapter Rallies
Yes you pay for your camping when you get there $35.00 a night. Rally cost is $15.00 each person. http://www.redriverrovers.com/files/June_2020_Rally_Information.pdf If you wanted to do the camping reservations ahead tell them it is with the RRR to get in the right area and to get the rally price. There is a form on the website for the rally. http://www.redriverrovers.com/files/June_Fillable_Reg_Form.pdf Bill -
Finding a place that has the equipment to do truing is much harder than it use to be. Bill

I would look at Continental Conti Coach HA3 iTire $564.23 load range L. I like them better than Michelin. Bill
-
How did you know you had no separation issues? Were you dismounting and inspecting them as Michelin recommends frome year 6? What you did, you just got lucky. Bill
-
How did they put the wrong size on with out your permission? Bill
-
Wow I must be lucky as I have never had a warranty to worry about. Just got my first RV with an Oasis. Bill

The wildest one I ever saw was birds building a nest in the dryer hose. They would land on the cover reach under and open the flopper door and go inside. Yes I went and told the owner but he thought I was crazy till he went and looked with a flashlight. They had it about half full of sticks and grass building a nest. Probably a good thing he hadn't tried to use it as the grass and tinder might have started a fire. Bill -
We have used CoPilot and had few problems. The good part is you can download the maps ahead of time so you are not reliant on being connected to internet. Another one the Navigator likes is RV Parky. You can plan routes and find places to stay along the rout. Bill

You passed the test. Bill
-
Most have that feature (if you set it up) but one big thing if you are on a secondary road and you don't see any trucks I would start checking, quick. Please put your RV in your signature. Bill

Ok if you have a place that can do 3D printing they should have or have acess to a 3D scanner. 3D Laser Scanning is a non-contact, non-destructive technology that digitally captures the shape of physical objects using a line of laser light. 3D laser scanners create “point clouds” of data from the surface of an object. All you have to do is scan the left one and convert it in the computer to a right hand view. You realey wouldn't need a 3D printer to make a whole fender just print a 3D surface you could use to lay up a fiberglass fender. If you don't have a big enough printer make the mold in parts. A smart operator would build in tabs to locate and stabilize the parts when together. Then fill any cracks /seams so it takes less work when done. Jim, with a good scanner you can duplicate the pattern down to imperfections in the grain. Bill

Well let's hope the OP has someone doing the work that knows what they are doing. I would use a good 17 oz Biaxial cloth or heavier and bag it. But I am not doing that kind of work any more. Bill

It is not that hard if you have any experience doing maintenance and using tools. Lots of videos on Youtube. Bill

If you do a good job smoothing the saran wrap you can have a surface that needs little filing or sanding. Bill
