  1. I'm sure there are not many other MCI owners, but I had the same problem last winter. While replacing one of the radiators, something shorted an ECM, found the fuse in the battery compartment.
  2. If the tag tires are the same as the duals, I have in the past moved a tag tire up, then have a reasonable tire mounted for the tag. This way, the duals all remain the same, the tags if slightly mismatched should not be an issue. Also, call on truck stops in the area that handle tires,12X22.5 is a common truck tire, although most are using 11X22.5 these days. I have used 305 85 in a pinch, it should be pretty close in height, and will fit 8.25 rim. You might look up Tireman9, and send him a PM, he is the real tire expert on the forum.
  3. We stayed at Coastline RV Resort at Eastpoint Fl. In late May, it is 20 miles west of Carrabelle, also just across hgy, 98 from the coast. You can see St. George Island from the park. Just like britcon described, laid back, excellent seafood, especially if you go west across Apalachicola bay to Apalachicola. This area is called by the natives of the area as the forgotten coast. If you like fishing, it is also excellent. Our favorite spot is St. George state park, but it almost requires 4 to 6 months reservations if staying more than a 1 or 2 night stay. Forgot to mention the state park does not have full hookup, water and electric with a very convenient dump station. These areas mentioned are actually east of Pensacola, which are on the way if you will be going further south in Florida. Only water south of Pensacola, LOL.
  4. Just a suggestion, make a very short flex hose extension, parts can be obtained at most Walmart stores that have RV supplies, or any other camping store, straight down through 6 inch hole, then use a 90 degree elbow. Also, most of the waste valve assemblies are adjustable to other angles if the valves can be moved and still have room to be pulled for release.
  5. I have a 91 Tracker, putting the tranny in 2nd is to keep the transmission from "freewheeling" spinning while being towed. Be absolutely sure the transfer case in in neutral before towing. Mine is auto and it does not rack up miles.

Good luck Br Peter & Rayne, I use an air wrench with 900 ft. # torque, those are supposed to be torqued to 800, don't believe an adjustable wrench can accommodate that much. I have had to use heat on some real stubborn ones though. Also, don't forget the right side wheels are right handed thread, and the left are left handed.

Rich, the tool suggested is for budd wheels, the same socket is 1.5 inch 6 point, and down inside the hex is the square to fit the inner square. My bus uses the same socket, been using mine for years. Kay
  8. I used an air impact wrench with an allen wrench adapter, set the air pressure to 40 lb's., worked on mine.

  10. I agree with Rich, I would not trust gluing to the rubber roof because of bond issues. If there is a luggage rail already there, a simple addition across that with some aluminum channel or angle would do nicely. If no rack already there, a simple rack across the roof attached to the drip rails will work since you obviously don't want to drill into the roof. The Sikaflex mentioned in the add for bonding will work well to the aluminum. Sikaflex is the same material used in airplane bonding of panels to the ribs underneath them these days.
  11. Do you know who the converter/builder is? Prevost is a very good name in buses, the converter that did the conversion will have an impact on what the coach is, and will be worth. 200,000 miles is reasonably low mileage, if this correct. There are many good converters out there, and probably was by one of these. What engine, and transmission is also a factor. Also is this a 40 or 45 footer, both have a tag axle, designation by Prevost will be H40, or H45. Good luck on your decision, Kay
  12. I use an adjustable bed in my mh, the manufacturer installed a steel bar, a rod if you can picture it, shaped like an elongated U, ie., the bottom of the u is stretched out about 36 inches. This is of course is inverted and is secured to the bottom end of the bed, this stops the mattress from sliding off the foot end when the bed is raised. The rod sticks upward about half the thickness of the mattress, and when the bed is made up, the covers are over that rod, so it is not seen. Maybe something like this could help your situation.
  13. Been doing that for 10 years. Great to let others know.
  14. I owned an 87 model Southwind (P30) chassis several years ago that had similar problem. The only remedy that I found was to go to a racing store, and replace the plug and coil wires with a high performance set of wires, cost over a hundred dollars. Yes a poor charging system could cause a problem, a slight leak in the intake manifold can have an ill effect, also a cracked plug. or a crack in the distributer can also. Hope you find the culprit soon, Kay
  15. I gave a tablet and pen to my DW about 15 years ago, told her to start making a list and checking it twice. Now all I have to do is look straight ahead and ask if the list is complete, if no answer, I go looking for her to make sure the most important part of the list isn't left behind. "LOL" Many happy tales, and trails with the new adventure. Kay
  16. My opinion, if the batteries are properly maintained, water added when needed, terminals kept clean, checked regularly for proper charge in each battery, there should be no need for worry. While checking the battery charge level, with the charger/inverter in an off state, making sure each battery has achieved maximum charge, if they are 6 volt, 6.6 to 6.8, or 12 volt 13.2 to 13.6. This would indicate no bad cells, if one cell in a battery goes bad, this can cause overcharging by the charging system and start the domino effect on the other batteries. At 9 years, it seems that your system has performed well, and I think that you have gotten your monies worth, but another year will surely be an extra for you. Kay
  17. I usually crank the mh let it air till the air bags are to their normal ride height, sitting on level pavement or driveway, then install the rockquard per instructions. The motorhome ride height should be the same whether light, medium or heavy, as the limiters are there to keep that height nominal. Welcome to the forum, Kay
  18. My brother had a 2013 SRX AWD, and now a 2015 same, neither of them can be towed 4 down or 2 down, must be trailered, not sure about 2007, but I bet it is the same. Maybe a trade for a shorter trailer, I would love to have a longer one. Mississippi can be up to 99 feet, http://towingworld.com/towinglawsbystate.cfm?state2=MS. Welcome to the forum
  19. Bearandmoon, Be sure to look at the label inside your GE residential refrigerator Model # GTS16GSHSS for max amps. Most RR's in this size range have draw of 7 to 10.5 amps. The 600 watt that you stated for the fridge, allowing for a 20 percent usage requirement will leave only 480 usable watts divided by 120 volts = only 4 amps to actually run the fridge. A better working unit for the application needs to be the actual amp draw stated on the label times 120 volts plus at least 30 percent. Just a tidbit to help make sure that your fridge and or inverter are not damaged, or their life shortened. Good luck with your new toy. Kay
  20. 2000 to 2015 is a pretty long way back unless you can find an old tileman who just happens to have it in stock. I have in the past found a contrasting color, and bought enough to work a pattern when replacing those cracked tiles, most of the time will add new look that is surprisingly appealing. Also have actually used a totally different tile, such as marble or granite, or those new catchy looking glass tiles. Just a suggestion that might be worth looking at.
  21. If using the Genie from home, the main receiver must move to the motorhome, the daughters will not work without the mother attached to the same dish. I just pay the extra five dollars per month and use a stand alone receiver in the mh. I have three TV's attached to the one receiver, use an rf remote for simplicity. We just all have to watch the same channel.
  22. Is there any chance that both receivers are set for uhf (rf)? This is just a thought, with your description, if both receivers are set for uhf, both will receive the same signal causing both to show the same thing. Only one can be set to uhf, all others must be set for ir. Simpler things have caused great ponder. Welcome to the forum, and good luck resolving the issue. On rereading your op, noticed that you stated that rear box shows (red) no signal, if this is the case, the two TV's can only be connected via avi, hdmi, or component cables for them to show the exact same thing. Both receivers must be connected to coax straight to the dish, or through a multiplexing device, they cannot be y'd together. Not sure how Shaw works, but it is likely that it is designed to work correctly, but improper installation and programing is a likelihood.
  23. Herman, some need to dry/curl their hair?
  24. Just my opinion, I wouldn't trade my conversion for two class c any brand. But look carefully at the engine on the Bluebird, and the ability to have it repaired. Good luck deciding!
  25. Most of us don't have vacuum toilets, as they are in most cases used on high end coaches with two bathrooms. The vacuum toilets only create a vacuum while being flushed, then the wastes go to macerator style pump which pumps to the holding tank. The holding tank still works just like any conventional holding tank. Hope this is helpful in understanding why the vent still works in the holding tank, it must be there so that the tank can fill and empty correctly.
