  1. Yes and yes, I would try to desulfate the batteries, then have them load tested. Of course an alternator test is in order as well.
  2. The bus is 41.5 ft., I have 5 scaffold bucks that are five ft. tall, four sets of aluminum walk boards ten ft. long. I place these alongside the bus, eight ft. ladder to climb up on the scaffolding, and as Herman, a rolling stool. I wash wax the coach from top down to the scaffolding from my rolling position, then drive forward away from scaffold, place the rolling step stool on the ground to finish the job. Broke my pelvis in three places back in 1998, and standing for long periods really is painful. You aint alone Herman as the good ole southern boys love to talk, by the way, I was in Houston in February 2017, nearly everyone, even the Hispanics, have no problem with aint, but if aint aint a word, better watch out for those isn'ts. LOL Glad to see Bon Ami still exists, I'm looking forward to seeing pictures of Mrs. Herman doing the windows, while he wash waxes.
  3. While in Red Bay, be sure to get acquainted with McKinney RV/salvage. They have a great selection of almost everything that you may ever need. And for future reference.
  4. I would believe that a 2004 HR Endeavor has two sets of batteries, one, the chassis battery bank, probably 2 12 volt in parallel for starting the coach, and the other set is house batteries, 4 6 volt in series/parallel for house usage. A dedicated generator battery for me is a great idea, could still be hooked to the existing wires to the house batteries, with an isolation circuit to keep the house batteries from pulling away from the generator battery. A good three stage charger can also be added to make sure the gen battery is always up, but probably not needed if an isolation circuit is used. I pulled up a 2003 manual, could not find a 2004 for your unit, which describes both battery banks.
  5. Urea 32% on the feet helps cure dry and cracked feet, maybe it will work equally well on the dry and cracked hoses. Makes about as much sense as using engine braking causing extra pressure on the engine causing the hoses to blow. I know that using urea does what it is supposed to for the feet, but I don't believe the engine braking line yet. Just saying.
  6. I think all land should be retired in Maine. 80 degrees here in Birmingham today.
  7. Ehh what did you say Carl, my hearing aids don't work well for print!
  8. For those without beepers, you can still have envious neighbors, every time you put the coach into reverse, remember three long blasts with the air horn, for safety sake.
  9. My wager is that it is a 2015 Dutch Star! Anybody else want 2 cents worth of this wager?
  10. I have the Verizon Unlimited plan, mine is not with FMCA, but the so called cut back on my plan is at 22 gb, with 15 gb per hotspot. I have maxed out several times, and the cap on my plan is 70 kb until the month's end. Yep, it creeps and crawls, but the web pages will usually fill, if there is enough coffee left in the pot. I have been unable to get broadband at my home in the past, but fortunately ATT finally came through in mid January. Uverse is now putting through 5 mbps with a terabyte monthly gap, I doubt that will happen soon. My Verizon mifi will both down and upload at 30 to mbps before the data cap hits, so I am installing a load sharing router to get a fast enough speed to be able to stream if HD, and hoping that this will stop my Verizon Mifi from reaching it's data limit too soon each month in the future.
  11. One should ask for 75% discount since it's only 25% of a class A. Especially since it is all about economics.
  12. Helium filled deployment would be great, a big helium filled balloon with a body harness attached to the body of the rider, when it goes off, balloon fills with helium which in turn lifts the rider up and safely deflates allowing the rider to escape without a scratch.
  13. Since the Subaru has been mentioned, my daughter bought a Subaru several years ago, and the spare tire was mounted above the motor, up front of course. I questioned quite often, why was the spare tire mounted where it was. I finally found out that it was the only way that car could survive the crash test. Lesson here is, if the spare tire is up front, don't throw it in the trunk, and think everything is OK. By the way, for keeping this post on topic, my bus has the spare tire that is mounted on a rim and fully aired, behind the front bumper, which is hinged at the bottom for access to the spare, what a coincidence. LOL
  14. We have four yorkies that go almost every place that we go. These are the hardest dogs to train, I helped train service animals while we lived in Florida, and these are not well trained, but they all know where the line is and will not cross that. We have one CG that is close to where we live and use that one often. A couple years ago this CG had hired a new security officer that obviously does not like dogs. We have a small portable fence, and when a lot of people with other dogs are present, we put a drape over the fence wire to keep ours from seeing those while approaching, because they will yap if they see strangers with dogs. The new security officer put his head and arms over the fence and my yorkies barked at him, he then demanded that I take them inside the coach. I asked if they barked before he started poking at them, he said no, I told him that he needed to go to his coach and stay there. I will gladly put mine up if they are fault, but sometimes there are stupid people also.
  15. All good suggestions, I would not attach anything to my coach, learning the mirror technique and possibly how to properly use a backup camera if you have one. Collapsible cones are available, or simply make some markers that are very visible, and place them where you would like to stop can be helpful. Here is a pretty good youtube video describing backing an rv.
  16. Here is another work around https://www.vpnuniversity.com/tutorial/how-to-share-unlimited-4g-data-with-your-router.
  17. If I use a regular credit card at nearly all of the truck stops, I have to restart the pump at $75.00, and that can only happen twice without using a different card, but when using the FlyingJ card, of course only at FlyingJ/Pilot truck stops, I have pumped as much as $310.00 without having to restart. I'm sure that those numbers change on regular cards at many different places, but the FJ has been consistant so far in 8 different states. Also the FJ stops so far will allow me to pump out front or at the truck lanes with no hassle. Not a plug for FJ/Pilot, just facts for me.
  18. If it's the transmission leaking, the fluid level should be showing low at some point in time.
  19. I think that a call to the BBB would be in order, I would start at the dealer states level, then American Coach level. I would have responded that their disclaimer had no notice to me at the time of purchase.
  20. I have the Pilot/FlyingJ GS card also, works great for me, insert card, put in control #, and pay at the end of the month. As for the OP about Love's, I quit using them about 4 years ago because of me limping into one that has a mechanic on duty 24/7. I thought at the time that I had a clogged fuel filter. I asked if the mechanic could replace it for me. Reply was we are not allowed to work on Busses or motorhomes. I told them ok, can you look to see if you have a replacement in stock, no, we don't do anything to a bus or motorhome. I limped along on the busy freeway 17 miles to the nearest Petro, they gladly replaced it for me at a very reasonable rate, and of course I purchased a spare from them for any future emergency. Oh yes Herman, your first comment referred to an "OT" card, not a "QT", no wonder so much confusion.
  21. Have you considered a very low wattage 12 volt heating device that can be controlled by a thermistor to come on and remain on until it reaches a predetermined heat? I know that your coach is 24 volts, but can be operated by the 12 volt house system unless that is 24 volts also.
  22. If you go through Savanah Ga, Tyby Island with a stop at Ft. Pulanski for some more Civil War history.
  23. The windows 10 update that we are talking about is actually upgrade, which is unstoppable because it is an upgrade, as I said, the only way to keep it from happening on this particular one is to not connect to the internet. That is why I suggested that one would need to disconnect from the internet each time they leave the computer. The upgrade is actually set to start on it's on when the computer is idle for a certain period of time and there is an internet connection. Therefore if you disable the internet connection each time you leave your computer, you can avoid this from happening. My computer is set up as a metered connection, it upgraded anyway. The professional version of Windows 10 is what I have, and being on a domain has no effect on this particular upgrade. Just more of Microsoft's taking control of it's users lifestyle. Yes ordinary updates can be put off, but this one is a gotchya.
  24. Yes Windows 10 on one PC has put me on super slow with Verizon Unlimited, the updates started at 3:30 AM three days in a row, got 3.5 to 3.75 each day before my Mify crashed each time. The file is over 5 gig and will not resume when internet comes back alive. I am now over the 22 gig threshold and on super slow until 2/14. I told windows 10 to go ahead and update, and it finally finished in about 12 hours at 3.5 kilobits. Now I'm in slow mode till 2/14. I have the metered internet turned on, on this PC but the version update doesn't care. Only to prevent it is to disable the PC's wifi each time you walk away from it. If I didn't need to keep my Microsoft certification, I would be using Apple also.
  25. Be sure that the adapter that you get is 50 amp male to 30 amp female. Both configurations are available, the opposite is made to go from 30 amp campground to 50 amp RV.
