  1. Tim. Nice to learn something new, great idea! I would still use some Dawn and Calgon in tank! I have a built in San-e-Flush and use it...by filling the bowl with Dawn & Bromide, every other time I hook up water to it, really keeps both gray and black tank clean! My toilet is a electric flush macerator kind, so I have no way to look into tank!
  2. Brian. Welcome to FMCA & Forum! Very nice 06', wish you and DW lot's of good, fun, memories, in the years to come!
  3. One gallon hot water and half a cup of liquid Calgon flushed into toilet once a month! Works. In your case follow Kay's recipe!!!
  4. If you do need a low flow pressure washer, try Granger Tools internet or there might be a store near you, Low's, Home Depot or Tractor Supply. I have a 200-1,000 psi that I got from Low's, also a big 2,000-7,000.
  5. Roland. Take a look at Air seat for your DW. It acts like a hydraulic and does not move with the coach or give her the "Bump feedback", like a regular co pilot seat.
  6. Roland. Good choice! You'll be happy and so will your DW...that's all that really matters! Carl
  7. Joe. That's because we have 30+ years on you! We also learn from you, so it's a toss up! Think off it like a egg, due to it's molecular design it's much stronger when placed end to end, pointing up/down, than laid down! Now a cinder block wit the shiny side up is weak, turn it over so the 2 cells are facing up. Usually they will drive a re bar in each hole when the wall is at right height & then fill with cement...If you have a cellar, that's probably what you have for walls!
  8. The biggest advantage a 5'er have over me, is the original cost and cost per year to operate. Most of the ones I know that has one, they already had the trucks! The only one is my Attorney, he has a MB AMG 63 roadster and his DW has a Infinity SUV, they drive both to their place in Colorado & the Trailer is delivered by Freightliner! $2.18 a mile from Houston, TX. to Eagle, CO. He bought a 53 foot OTR Trailer and had it converted to a Custom built RV...$1,8 million, 6 years ago! Nope, it's not one of a kind.
  9. Kay. Sorry for your loss. Was he a Korea Vet?
  10. Bill. Your right about Texas, I have both of them! I also found out last summer, that we have some secondary roads, non toll, that are a lot better surfaced and maintained than the Toll Roads in most States! I have only paid a toll in NY/Conn once and in my toad once, Chicago, in 51 years of travel...since I have no time limit to work with, I simply go around. What's an extra day or two, when your out looking at the country? I figure, if your in a hurry...fly. With all the Toll's you pay, it would be cheaper! My Texas EZ Pass is loaded at $20 about once per month on Avg., that also include the TX. Tag!
  11. Ray. I don't know the numbers, but I would expect your coach weigh more and can carry more, than a 38 foot DP Bounder! I like to stay in the parameters of the OEM tires. Back in the 1960's to mid 80, we had no set numbers to go by. I had a gas 31 foot coach new in 1981 that had 2 gas tanks of 75 gallons each and a designated tank of 50 gallons for a 4Kw generator, along with 80 fresh, 60/40. That by it's self is a lot of weight and I ran with Kelly tires on 19.5's
  12. FIVE. Your really in a S & B home? I thought you was full time Hobo! Riding the rubber wheels, not the steel rails!
  13. Yeah. GS has 2 magazines, one is MotorHome and the other is Trailer Life! We, per Jr. editor, can't do that "it's to expensive"! That reads to me as, "It would take away from our raises and high salaries"! GS have not missed a beat in 30+ years! Where did we make the wrong turn?

    Tire Blow Out Game

I have often wondered how they all, and all RV types, got from point A (home) to B (any winter snow bird location), to begin with! Then they all hop into their toads, or trucks, and suddenly forget how to drive! Right turns from left lane and the opposite, no turn signal and doing 55 in the fast lane on the 75mph turnpike! Totally
  15. Roland, do a search on the steering gear, upper right corner, we have a rather lengthy and informative post on that, just don't remember the year...think it was 2014.
  16. Joe S. Now, when you run across bad weather, you just find a place to safely park the DP, turn on generator and stay nice and dry! With the 5'er you got real wet getting from truck to RV and most don't have a generator, slosh, slosh or your stuck in truck. With a 350 it's a pain, with a Peterbuilt it's doable!
  17. Yeah! Surprised they did not jump on it...or maybe they want to wait until it get's warmer and at their convenience!
  18. I sent you a PM and gave you the contact information, to the only person I know on Forum, who boondocks all the time by Solar Power! Did you get in touch with Bill Edwards? Per your post, I will assume it was to much of a bother! Good luck and hope it all works out for you!
  19. Good Luck ! DD69, Ditto on the flawless and like Real Estate, disclosure is paramount on everything!
  20. Ray. Thank you for your service! VN, 17 years of BS! Got my 22 months in with the ASA.
  21. Roland. What part of this big country are the in? Why not use Freightliner? Carl
