Kay, mine is mounted an inch off the floor, below the stove top...there was no other detectors in coach, now there are 4 in celling! Oops!!! I'm well aware of the hazards of CO....the "Silent Killer"! At least with Propane Gas (in a gas bottle), you can smell it!
-
On yours, I think it's air. Mine is a pneumatic door and the same bolt is located 4" above my door handle.

Kay. Leroy lives in BC, Canada....is that close to Birmingham?

Why the installed one in my coach, I'll never know. Mine is in the outside bottom of my kitchen cabinet...also wired to a battery, amid the noise, I unscrewed the unit and clipped both wires and covered each end with electrical tape. Then removed the 9V battery, put unit back in the hole. Went to Ace hardware and got 2 battery operated units. one in front and one in kitchen! I'm all electric coach!

Dan. Thank you & I hope there will be one for Gillette also! Carl

True, very true! As also applied to my Jeep Wrangler conversion, from basic to now, with 35'x12.50 tires=$2,000, but to have and use them=$14,000!

Leroy. Welcome! Is that a Gillig chassis or Oshkosh? Freightliner or Spartan, should be able to handle your muffler. As for Manual, send a PM to DickandLoise, he's got quite a library of Manuals on his computer....useful Hobby!

LP Tank Shutoff Valve Leaking - venting tank
manholt replied to pcowen's topic in Systems and Appliances
Confusing post. Heat will cause liquid propane to expand, your at 5% below, allowable fill level of 80%, so outside temps should not cause "Venting"! You have a leak, maybe not as extreme as Richards was, but still a leak and it must be addressed by a shop that can fix it and re-certify the tank...I don't think the dealer has a clue, other than wanting to replace the tank you got. I would go to shop and see what all the options are...it may be that a replacement is better for your case. Richard has totally different Horizontal tanks, from your tank and 90% of the others out there! -
Cdriffter99. Welcome. There are other factors involved, besides rim size. Is there enough distance between the 2 tires on the drive axle, so they don't rub against each other, when rolling? As for fitting on the rims you got, I don't see why not. You will have to set your odometer for the 295's and you will loss mpg, due to the increased weight of the tires...each 295/80 weight more than the 275/80! I went from 295/80R to 315/80R in front only and lost 1/2mpg! Your GVWR should stay within the parameters set by the chassis manufacturer...in other words, don't try to change the weight limits, that are listed.

Folks in Tennessee and some surrounding States, does make good Shine! I'm partial to Apple and Honey!
-
Not found of dirt either! The one thought you forgot about, is the inside of the tire, that we can't see! I will not bet the life of my loved ones or myself on a 10 year old tire! All my used tires goes to a friend, who use them on hay trailers, that never see the public roads!

Gira. 12V Battery = 13.1 to 13.2V When fully charged. 6V Battery = 6.4 to 6.6V The 6V is in series of 2 to = a 12V battery! My coach has 2 inverters and each is 4, 6V batteries! Think Golf Cart. All of my house batteries are AGM's, that means that I cant add water, they are all sealed. More expensive, but less to worry about. Desertdeals69 is correct, in that on your panel it gives a 12V reading not a 6V....same with my panel, I get 12V reading of each bank!

Mike. Alligator Fish? Don't think so! Alligator Gar! Definatly a fish! But you can have it..Ugh. I'm in Patterson, LA. & surprised I have not seen Turtle on the menu! Have seen every thing else, including Hot Dog Poo Boy!

Since my dead DW, was from Lebanon, NH and her Mom & Dad was from Quincy, Mass. I have eaten enough Chowder, Lobster Stew and Scrod to fill up all the wooden boats in NE...I'm also no stranger to Buzzard Bay (got to go over the bridge), for the Cape! Try the Union Oyster House in Boston or the Oar House Restaurant in Old Lyme, Conn. I have forgotten all the places we ate at in, Sandwich, Hyannis, Wellfleet and Providence! Not to forget the coast of Main and Lands End.

Been there, done that. That's the reason I no longer have my 2011 Allegro Bus, bought that POS new! On the other hand my current 45', also was built on a Monday...Could have built a coach for what this POS has cost me in the past 4+ years! All quality stopped in 2006 & 2007!

GailH. Welcome to the Forum! Are you anywhere near the back side of the Costal Range or San Gabriel Mountains? Your more apt to find a certified service in the high desert, a lot more Propane home tanks there, than in LA, San Fernando Valley or San Bernardino! Is the tank portable, like on a trailer or mounted in a coach?

72 today in Morgan City, LA., Next system is Saturday with rain! I'll float my yellow ducks then... Got a Backers dozen this year!
-
greenbarn1. It would help you and all of us, if you would not put the "Cart in front of the Horse"! In other words, buy the coach first, then install the service line!
