WBill. I do agree, that is a thing I do every time, I come home after my 7-10K summer trip! OP had no increase in Temp or loss of fluid. = Coolant sensor! Don't know where bhalldorson lives....but you and I live in the land of 2 seasons and June to October, it's well over a hundred in the shade with a fan on!

Thank the Good Lord...I live in Texas! When my coach pass the gate at Linda's, or my Ranch in W. TX., It's wide open country and hidden barns and houses! No zoning can change what we got. HMO? That's like the Union, in a Texas Oil field, they disappeared in 1927 and was found in 1978....still in their cars! We can do what we want to do, at anytime the mood strikes, especially at my place, 2 sections in the middle of nowhere and the star's are unbelievable! At my main residence on Galveston Island, it's a HMO Subdivision, but I can park my coach for 2 weeks in the street and however long I want on my property! HMO dues are $60 a year.

Barb. My SO, has her own Phaeton 40 foot DP, her 5th coach in 36 years! Right now, we are in my 45, that she also drives on occasion...other times, we travel with both coaches!

You have a bad sensor, it should be located on the surge tank about half way up. Disconnect the 2 wires and order a new one from Tiffin. Call Tiffin Tech and it will be sent to you, $40+/-. Mine was $38+ with shipping. When you replace it, use a clean gallon bowel, unscrew old, insert new and reconnect wires, pour coolant back in tank.

We are stuck until morning, in Schulenburg, due to low water areas that are flooded, between here and Burnet. Also, got 4+ inches since 7am! Now, some sun/rain mix. No wind.

2018 Cherokee Trail hawk Flat tow
manholt replied to mamajoandmike's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
ktconners. Good luck. Hope one of you don't need to drive the toad in May! Ugh. -
Joe S. & WBill. Let's be civil to each other. You each do things differently, that's an individual choice and a Rick said, has to do with your comfort level. Nothing wrong with that.

MOBILE RV REPAIR RECOMMENDATION SE HOUSTON?
manholt replied to eric@babin.com's topic in Type A motorhomes
Eric. Make, Model and Length of coach would help! Also, if you have a toad, you could drive to Dues or Taylor and talk to them. -

I'm with Kay! Joe L, your allowing the possibility of pollutants, to drain and stunt the growth, of the Lost Kalifornia Desert sand Fly! Shame on you!!! -
Joe. WBill is in the 50/60mph and rain, same with me!

JohnArch. So nice to hear from you again!

There may be another North Easter in 5 day's! If I lived in your part of the world...I'd have a acclimatized garage for anything that drives on land/water!!!

Richard. Add a 2" foam mattress & it will be thick enough. I have a sleep number and after meeting Linda, she put a 2" foam on...I was very skeptical, it's been on for 14 month's now! She did the same in her coach!
-
TW. If in doubt, and it still seem to bother you, take the coach to a Cummins shop and have a dump & flush done! If you don't want to do a D&F, then at least they can tell you what you have in there now.

Suggestions on best hose from holding tanks
manholt replied to ktconners's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Rhino Flex...same reason as Joe L. I carry 2 x 10 feet and one 15 foot, along with clear elbow and a separate none screw in 90 degree for the donut ! It all fits in a clear plastic box 2'W x 12"H x 42"L. -
Brett. Welcome back! Hope you had a great Journey. As you can see, nothing much has changed. This time, we did not start it...if you can make any believable sense of this category, please do so! Carl C.

Jim S. No secret, I got mine direct from Cummins, via South Plains Cummins, in Houston, TX. I wanted the time, not the mileage! Rick.. I understand your thought on "how many actually do set aside the money"? Akin to how many have invested in Mutual Funds, Stock's and Bonds, while they worked and not depended on SS and Pensions? Very small %, I would believe!

Yep, they are the 2 big ticket items! In 2014, I extended my 5 year/100K Cummins warranty for another 5 years, $1,400! Only extended warranty I have gotten...that was a logical choice!

Toad towing a 2011 Cadillac SRX 3.0L
manholt replied to hudstur's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
I'm lost...A Toad in our vocabulary is a vehicle being towed by a RV! Are you referring to also, tow the Caddy behind the Toad? Or do you have a car/truck that's the camper and it's towing the Caddy? ....Like Jim S. My head hurts! -
All the above is in reference to a Jeep Wrangler 4x4, only!

Sanitizing the Potable Water Tank and System
manholt replied to wolfe10's topic in Systems and Appliances
I got my last batch from Dollar General, a case of 24 qt. bottles, 3% for $11.99 +tax! We use a lot of HP at the ranch. Fireant bite, spray HP on it, stops the pain/itch, no welts, on animals and humans. Linda, runs a cup thru the garbage disposal every 3 months, I pour some into the P-traps in her coach and mine....no odor. -
