Kwikee....they have a toll free number. Last ladder mount's I ordered, I got one and the other came about a month latter! Backlogged after a FMCA Rally...they also do orders from GS, Escapees, Masonic, Shriners, Lions, Elks and individual Clubs/Units/Chapters!

That kind of lens, is a snap in. Squeeze it towards opposite side and it should pop out.

Travel Trailer, 5th Wheel Towing, Trucks & Hitches
manholt replied to txiceman's topic in Towing 5th Wheel or Trailer
Ken. I'm Oil Field Thrash, wit a Petroleum Engineering ticket, in 24 years, I learned a lot about TT's, 5'ers and Trucks. My 3 best friends have 5'ers...they are ranchers, so why buy a coach and a toad...they got some really impressive trucks to haul horses & cattle! We watched a 37' Jayco 5th, pull out this am by a 150 Ford 4x4 gas, not much room between rear end and ground. -

Travel Trailer, 5th Wheel Towing, Trucks & Hitches

See it all the time. Wrong truck for the application! Small SUV hooked up to a overloaded Trailer, or too long a Trailer! Far as I'm concerned, get a "true" one ton and be done with it. -
Kay, Joe. Back in the 70's & 80's, we where members of Triple T's., Texas Outlaws and Apollo. The Outlaws and Cruisin Cajuns would caravan in together and park together...we did have a crowd.

I love how everything is set in Jell-O!

Wayne. That's so boring, it works better than counting Sheep! Baaaah!
-
Forgot, back then, 1980's, we only had one national rally a year!
-
Joe, your right to a point. Land is not cheap, suburban encroachment and the cost of a big rally, has gone up exponentially along with cost of living and land. Where there used to be a Fair Ground, is now in a lot of cases an enclosed multi sport Coliseum! Yes, the numbers where impressive! Specially when you take into account, 20% less people and no RV attendance other than motorized coaches!

dewduster. Welcome to the Forum! LaPalma....what year?

TT. If your thoughts are on a FMCA National or Area FMCA Sanctioned Rally. You then need a lot more to offer than just a "great fishing spot"! Where do you plan on parking 400 to 4,000 RV's? You could join a local Chapter, I suspect they would have places that would welcome a small rally of 15-30 RV's and also offer a rally room! Carl

Wayne. Linda has the same as you, but hers is with National, along with diminishing deductible. Currently $100.

OK, back to OP if we still have one! Google used or new trucks for sale, 4x4. If you know what brand you want, then it's easier. You can also look at the 2018 towable section of the FMCA Digital Magazine, also previous years!

Dan. Like Richard, I went and re read all that the information that you supplied. Have a couple of questions. Do you have the same issue when your on Generator? Have you looked at your Transfer Switch? If you don't have the problem on Generator, I would suspect a bad plug on your shore power cord, or a bad connection.

I seem to have a knack for it..

Yes! Remote, probably....Google Magnum or call Tech Dept.! If you do the name of Rich...you wont get the stars, "potty mouth police is built in"! You can overlap it by using DickandLouise, without spaces!

Just to muddle the puddle. There is also the Webasto diesel or gas heather!

At least, she got her own! Brain Fart...she put it in the ground 36 years ago, as a MH beware marker!
-
The pipe was a marker for a Cattle Guard, her drive way, second gate!

Works for you? Works for me! Up until a year ago, I traveled alone also. Linda has her own Phaeton 40 DP, that she's in 50% of the time. Now, it's in the shop getting a few things fixed (she backed into a 10'x4" metal pipe, that was set in 5' of cement, in ground)! We are in mine!

Santa Monica, CA. to Chicago, Ill. Used to take about 1,000+/= miles of it, From CA, to Wickenburg, AZ. This was before I-10. Still do parts of it, when in AZ. Has it's good and bad stretches! I generally park the coach and use the toad, as there are hundreds of side roads, mostly un paved. I carry 5, 1 gal. jugs of water and 3 day supply of dried meat, anytime I go exploring in toad...unless, I'm going to the market.

super8mm. What is your CCC ? My 425 Cummins DP. GVWR 46,700, GCWR 56,000 and CCC 61,000 ! My total weight, including Jeep & Linda, 54,019. Jim S. Without Linda, it drops about 1,000# !

Mike. Same thing with my Policy. I have had Progressive and was happy with them, but they kept charging me for a much higher value than my coach is now worth...I told them that if they had someone that would pay me $290K, send them over! National is also good. That's what Linda has on her 40 Phaeton! Carl

Richard. The original Custom Coach is alive and well, the Founder is also alive & well, his L# 145 FMCA and was just inducted into the MH/Hall off Fame in Elkhart, IN. CCC 7052 Americana Parkway, Columbus, Ohio 1-800-331-3188 or 1-614-863-6470, they still build shells, does conversions and service any coach that they built or converted to a MH and it's components!
