  1. Jim S., Joe S., Joe. IMHO. I'm beginning to see a pattern, for why some folks feel that we are elitists! We had FMCA, exclusively for Motorized Coaches. There has yet to be a Organization that is exclusive to Travel Trailers!
  2. Thanks for sharing! But Joe, I wonder if any of it, has to do with your coach sitting idle. for all winter?
  3. Jim S. Not really different, just less hostile! One thing I don't want, is for this thread to close! So, you did a good thing! Wayne could have left out the "Fun" military, bivouac, thing. Some things are best, left forgotten!
  4. Herman. I just remember what happened in OR. Maybe that was an exemption, because of the FMCA Rally in Redmond. When I went to Superior Tire in Eugene, they had a booth at the rally, they did all the steps for me, all I had to do, was to supply my F# and hand over my CC...Painless! I have heard of your way also. Your right, it's a grate program and saves a lot off money! Carl
  5. Jim S. Your right. I just read the whole "Bleep", thing! jlspark. Is your Trailhawk a 1phase or a 2 phase? If it's a one, then you can't tow it, there is no N in transfer case. The procedure for towing is reminiscent of the 2009 Jeep Wrangler or the 2008 Colorado 4x4. Steps are the same and you need a battery charger. The only difference is there is no wheel lock!
  6. Tenting in the military was fun! The Boyscouts was fun. Now, given a choice, I like comfort. I will say, that if I was a, "Full Timer", I would have a 5'er...way more room, creature comfort's and bang for the bucks, than I have now!
  7. We have 2 dogs. Well, one is useful, and barks at strangers. The other, is not all together there!
  8. I carry 3. There are some places I go that requires up to 30 feet. Mostly 5 to 10! Wayne. I would rather have 15 extra than be 5 short...
  9. How many folks you know, who has a "Texas Long Horn", in the coach?
  10. Ken. Nobody is calling you or anyone else "Trailer Trash", you are the only one who has said that. I'm very surprised and wonder what your reaction would have been, prior to you choosing a 5'er and hanging up your egg?! I only feel that the members as a whole, should have had a input on any name change. As they did to some extent in regards, to allowing Trailers! As we, Governance, will put a definition on what is a qualifying RV, at the Gillette Convention! Change does not happen "Over Night". It takes time and it should not be based on what the Staff or EB wants, but rather what we want...you included. All the above is IMHO.
  11. Yeah. You got to dig it out first, along with the coach! Heard you had another NEaster heading your way. Rainbow trout in Colorado and Mai Mai (Dorado) off shore Texas. Also like Red Snapper, Sea Trout, Flounder and Red Fish! Fishing for Salmon, anywhere!
  12. MissAdventurer. Welcome to the Forum! There is a Chapter (Club) on the Internet with just Alfa owners, I believe FMCA also has one! You can also call Fleetwood Tech Department for help. I suspect some motherboards need to be reset....However, it would help us if you could tell us, what does not work?
  13. Spullon & WBill. I checked and only found it on RVTrader. There is a whole page on the Internet, with places that have concepts for sale $24,000 to $44,000 !
  14. dtl9900. Welcome to the Forum! The way it works, is that you find the Truck Tire Michelin dealer in your area. Explain that your a FMCA member and what size tire/tires you need...get the earliest DOT number possible. Then call FMCA and let them know who the dealer is. If you just need a quote, you need to get that also from a dealer with the fleet price. Carl C.
  15. Jim S. We are under a Red Flag Warning for all day today...same wind as you had, gusts to 40+! We are delivering Linda's coach to TCC this morning for body work and paint...she backed into her own iron post (I cut it down) for $4,800 in damages! Quote "I forgot it was there & I installed it"!
  16. There is also a fuse between the solenoid and Allison pad.
  17. Jim S. I know, I remember! Just wondered if the new coach was going to be the same model. Carl
  18. MB Sprinter Van, makes a 4x4, so does Ford E-Series, Chevy Van, GN Van and Nissan! All, towable...Not cheap! If you enter Remco, you will still get Remco!
  19. I used Superior Tire in Eugene...great folks and they get to do it all again in 2019...Unless, I have a New Coach by then!
  20. Lyle. Is the new coach, the same 4369 Dutch Star? Hope you post some photo's, when you get it...
  21. Richard, Very nice to see. All 3 cookie cutter coaches that I had, from 73' to 83', had almost the same interior as yours. The only difference, was a back bath and a little change in front, since they where gassers! Custom Coach is a chapter of FMCA. Herman's friend, who makes M&G brakes for toads, in Athens, Texas, is a Charter Member! There are also the Bus Nut's Chapter!
  22. Herman. As I remember last time at Perry, we had quite a number of Coaches for sale. Good turn out by Tiffin, Newmar, Winnebago, Entegera, Prevost and Newell. 1,100 new first timers, is impressive! So, is 900 Volunteers! WOW. Should be interesting to see the numbers for both Gillette and Shawnee, this year! You going home, pre planning meeting!
  23. Yeah, with the wind gusting to 40, you can sit back and watch the birds fly backwards! Or go by the golf course and improve your vocabulary, in several languages!
  24. Wayne, there's no fun in that...Golf improves your balance, stamina and vocabulary!
  25. Spullon. Welcome! I have no first hand knowledge of the Concept, other than CC built it to compete with Prevost, from 80's to 2005. 40 foot, 500hp and most are in the $40,000 range today! RV Trader has them for sale. Also others, that also carry Prevost. Carl C.
