  1. Can't be much colder in May! We are warming up in Texas...70's in Lower Valley and 60's most other places.
  2. It's rented to a woman, for 3 years, everything was fine, then she got a boyfriend & pregnant, kid born 5 days ago...they left the house with no heat on and didn't shut off water! Now he want's to live there while it's being fixed....it's liable to be a long month!
  3. Thanks. We will be home later today, not a planed thing. One of Linda's rent house's got totally water logged from busted frozen pipes, happened a week ago, we found out yesterday...good thing we did not go to So. FL. I'll take a trip to Low's this PM. Will let you know!
  4. Kay. I just threw out everything that they use over there. They do realize, that there is a limit, in what you can use Hybrid for...In regards to Locomotives, not much has changed over the years. You still have steam, gas, diesel and AC/DC electric. At one point they considered using nuclear, but threw that out because of the price and what to do with the waste! Sorry for any misunderstanding!
  5. WBill . Motor Homes of Texas, is on 59, 150 miles North of I-10 and about 100 miles South of I-20.
  6. 37 foot is a lot of coach for a gasser and Herman does have a good point in regards to 2 shocks for the weight. I only wonder if that would have any adverse effect on the chassis as a whole?
  7. Yesterday, my fresh water tank all off a sudden filled to overflowing while on city water! That manual system has not worked since I got the coach, so I have filled thru the outside manually with a separate hose. I shut of the city water, flipped my handle for the ball valve and am now on my water pump and fresh tank. Also, the water pump is not holding pressure, so I'm turning it on as needed...get tired of hearing it every couple of minutes.
  8. TT. Mine are also mounted on top, I was wondering about the make and model of your coach, I have an ongoing issue with my wipers not clearing the water from middle of blade down, it leaves a long triangle about 8 inches on top to a point on bottom. I'm beginning to wonder if the J hook configuration is not putting enough pressure on the center portion of my 32 inch blade?! Mine is a 2010 American Coach, Tradition.
  9. I will still use Norway as a point of reference. In cars, the battery/ E system works. But in heavier vehicles it does not. Norway as a whole, is topographically equal to most of Colorado, not much in the way of flat, mostly up or down, lots of curves and hairpins, narrow roads in the towns/cities and rural. 20%+/- two lane express way system! Their infrasystem for moving people by rail/bus is light years ahead of us. intercity rail is Electric, but the "Bullet Train", is a combination of Diesel/Electric with a top speed of 180mph on it's own track system that has grown 20x in length over the past 10 years and continues to grow! Cargo trains are for the most part, like here but only one or two containers lengthwise, per rail car, not stacked as in America, they are also interspersed with passenger cars and driven by Diesel. Intercity and a few rural buses are run on LPG. Rest are Diesel, all tour buses are Diesel, including most Motor Homes and yes, a lot of brands are American, Class A & C. German made Class A & C's, very few Class B's. MB OTR Trucks along with Volvo, are most predominant thru out Europe/Scandinavia, again Diesel and they have the same amount of axels as us, but only one wheel per side, per axel. Since Norway's coast line is over 12,000 miles, it's dotted with inhabited islands and they move people, animals and goods back and forth by ferry...Diesel/Electric/turbine. I would guess that half are Hover Craft, 25% the old drive shaft prop and 25% Jet. Private water craft are gas outboards, about 70% and the rest are inboard, diesel. I will get off my box, now!
  10. I had one on my Jeep...it is adjustable. Just turn the knob clockwise for more, other way for less...play with it.
  11. Rich. I think it's (most Norwegians agree) got to do with 220V and temps! The State of Norway, came out with a law in 2015, that all cars inside the Loop in Oslo, (It's a test for the whole country), would be gas/diesel free by 2019....almost all public parking spaces have a charger for the E-cars now and the same with Condos and Hotels. The sad part is that the whole Country did the same thing in regards to Diesel in 2000! So the new test for Oslo is getting rather expensive for the people. The biggest thing that has come about with this change, is the massive increase in the cost of Electricity...who pays for this? Why the average person does, for themselves and the Government Officials! My office building uses less electric today, than 5 years ago...our rate went up 221% January 1, 2018! Welcome to Socialism! Sucks.
  12. Mike. Clap, Clap, Clap! Thank You for a interesting insight, again! Also, from 2004 to 2016 I cruised the World Oceans, 23 weeks a year...your right, when the cruise ship filled up at International ports, you could smell the Sulfur at times in the bulk fuel.
  13. I think, IMHO, that we have beat this horse to death on other postings, for the past 4 years! Having said that...Mark, I fully agree with taking care of things as they crop up!
  14. Then there is Tesla. Very popular in Norway and I can't understand why it's so dependable there, and so troublesome here?
  15. Herman, Jim S. IMHO, agree to disagree is getting "old"! Seems to me that agreeing=good guys. Disagree or another opinion or point of view=Bad Trolls! Sorry, but there is no such thing as having it both ways! Brett, will put me on time out. However, Herman if you want to play "kiss, kiss and PC", I'll step out.

    Mr. Sam

WM Sam. Your not in the health insurance business, are you?
  17. Herman. Due to weight factor, IMHO it looks like Corian, with the sand paper or knobby rubber insert. Rick, I do like your screen door insert and suspect it adds a lot off stability! My kick plate fell off, busted rivets, have been looking for a replacement...thank you!
  18. Mark. The post that Brett shut down on January 2, under Class B. I stated to Synde, that I would get Cabin Fever, if I traveled in a 21foot+ Class B, for 6+ months a year! So glad that you and your DW agree with me.
  19. Roland. Great, your out of Dodge! How long are you staying in AZ?
  20. ReJex is excellent and fun to watch the bugs slide off.. Rich, you need 3 steps and Herman 2, I like to have my feet on the ground! LOL Also agree with Richard & W Bill. I just had HD 32" wipers put on $75 pair, not cheap, but I like a clear vision in the rain, sleet and snow....all in Texas 2 weeks ago!
  21. Volvo=Concept=most end up in file 13, long before a working model is made if it ever is! Wall Mart has been toying with that idea for years now, with their Billions it's still not on the road. I totally agree with Bill E.
  22. Mark. In your "neck of the woods", I suspect that quite a few are Rocker's and Film/TV stare's...could be wrong on that.
  23. I was hoping for LSU & it looked favorable, until they just could not hold on to the ball in the first quarter! Very disappointing.... All I got left is "Who Dat"!
