  1. Jim S. You'll get no argument from me about bottom mount. They do a much better job in the rain and easier to work on! My blades are 32", I'm thinking a 30" would work better as it would be more stable when rolling. A lot more wind up above, so mine tends to lift in middle and does not remove the water in a 6" swatch from center of arm! You really have 35"? That takes a lot of Hamster power.
  2. PW. Welcome to the Forum! You should have no problems with your GC, the problem has been with the newer models and especially the Cherokee!
  3. Linda thought about spraying some along with Peppermint oil in and around the bays...trying to keep small & big critters out. I told her that combo would defiantly keep me away!
  4. Yep. Better than CW and even PPL most times...you can also go to Amazon, amazing what they carry!
  5. Also, a reminder to contact coach Manufacturer Tech first.

    Skid Wheels

Sorry, I think we are all out of "Shotgun Shacks" in Texas. For those you might want to try your own State, around an old Factory, think I remember some around Lebanon! My wife and family was from NH & Mass.
  7. The approach I used last week was to take one off. Mine do not have the pin and I ended up buying the wrong 32" wiper, they are TRICO but they come in different width at J blade connection. I took my old one into Auto Zone, they matched it and ordered a set in, the second set fit perfectly and took 2 minutes to change out, I then returned the first set and got my $75 back!
  8. Pull arm out, so you can bend wiper back, I use a small screw driver to press down on bottom of J hook and pull whole blade out. I hope yours are bottom mount, do you have the replacement blade? Mine are top mount and I just did mine a week ago!
  9. Joe, as I suggested, there is a very quiet KOA off of I-40 West of Knoxville. The sky way starts on Hwy 165/143 then take US 129 back or reverse it. With taking photos and eating lunch and other pit stops, it's about a 6 hour + loop, all paved. DON'T ATTEMPT IT IN YOUR COACH !!! Actually they will not allow any RV on US 129, better known as The Tail or Dragons Tail. it's only 11 miles long with 318 curves and is now rather tame, as it is one way, every other day and they put in shoulder barriers! I have done it twice, each way, before the for mentioned. On my bike in 2007 and a Jeep in 2011.
  10. Yes, Brett is closing in on much colder weather...let him enjoy the last 24 hours of his ride!
  11. Joe, scroll up and read Brett's comment yesterday!
  12. Wayne. A lot of them on the road back then. Chevy's answer to the VW bus, more room and defiantly more HP. Lot better suited for the American Highways. Thank you for sharing.
  13. JK. Welcome to the Forum! I agree with rs Bill. Great write up! Clear and concise. Happy New Year and Safe travel.
  14. Joe. See what you started ! Geez. Roland, I know that Ross takes the North route...but, this is not a usual winter. Per the weather people, it's shaping up to be like the Winter of 1851...History of Donner Pass! Have you read about it? Now put your coach in it...
  15. Glad to know someone is warm! Yep, Gillette. We will be camping in Harlingen, Texas for January...Texan going to Snowbird Texas!
  16. Sandy, is your group coming in Canada Hwy 16? Since your returning to the lower 48, I only know off 2 hwys...97 to Canada 1 or just before Canada 1, you can turn down 99 to Vancouver via Whistler. Other is to stay on Canada 16 to Prince Rupert and take the Ferry! My suggestion is that you look under Blogs on this Forum and click on Tom Butler, he has several blogs on Canada. You can also send him a PM.
  17. Brett, Rich. Joe forgot to say that he would be leaving the NM are in late June. He will be with Linda and I in Ruidoso, NM., mid June 2018.
  18. Joe. Since you got the Jeep, you could take Hwy 165 & 143 to Robersonville, then 143 to 28 back into Tenn. 28 is also known as Tail O the Dragon, all paved roads, in the heart of the Smokies! The Tail is very famous and scenic, they have guard rails now, it's 318 turns in 11 miles! I got the T-Shirt. In June is a perfect time! Goggle it.
  19. Joe. Mine does the same on air leveling, so I don't tweak it, until all slides are out. DS is The Residential fridge, big sofa, stove, pots/pans, Microwave and in rear the KS bed!
  20. Thank you, Rich. I just learned something new! Happy New Year to you & Lois!
  21. Scott & Cat. Welcome to the Forum! Notice your 2018 coach, so as long as your covered under Warranty, then Cummins is going to use Valvoline Blue! Congrats on your new DP coach! Happy and safe travels in the New Year!
  22. RV's is...Motorhome, pull behind and 5r's or fifth! So your safe Joe, your with in topic! Pulling or being pulled, you have got to have the right equipment, License and a thorough understanding of what you have!
