  1. Brett. I keep forgetting about our park. Most of us do, I guess.
  2. Darn it. There has got to be some way of getting in! Have you called WB Tech hot line? Do you also have a on/off for heated mirrors, if so, check on fuse or cb for it, it's possible they have both controllers on same circuit.
  3. Bill E. Propane? What propane, did I miss a post?
  4. Click on Destination/Attractions and scroll down to Banff- Vancouver.
  5. Ken. That is the point. It would be Insanity to pull a trailer or 5'er without supplemental brakes!
  6. I put KLEEN into my tank when I fill up...keeps the injectors clean and have made a difference in performance...my Lady has a 2006 DP with a 350 CAT 40 foot and scoots along faster than me! We both use it. Right now we have the white winter mix in, along with a anti gel. First for me in Central Texas! Maybe you should give about $30 bucks a try, before you spend big $$$. Put double the mix in the first time and see what happens. Oil filter and supplement along with changing oil? Your mechanic got a kid in Private school? Have you taken your coach to a CAT Dealership or Freightliner?
  7. On this same post under December 30, you'll find Banff to Vancouver, Canada. Tom Butler responded with his normal knowledge and aplomb! You can also get him by Personal Mail....our local Guru on most any trip!
  8. Ken. You have been there, done that and now you have a 5'er....So, why don't you just use the truck brakes and forget about a auxiliary break for the trailer?
  9. Since I don't have a 120V in engine compartment, I have my Tender hooked up in bay, when camped for more than a few days. by a extension cord. Glad my Block heater is a flip of the switch away! rc. Do you have acid batteries or AGM's?
  10. Ray. Good points! So what should I look for? Front and back!
  11. That tag is what makes for a great ride! No matter the manufacturer....of course, as Brett would say: Loaded properly within specs and same with tires.
  12. It's the fill tank that I and so far nobody else can find. There is a large schematic painted on bay door, but I'm missing a part. When I see you in Tyler next month, you can look at it and scratch your head. When I back flush the black tank, the valve is on gray and black is grey...that was fun, the first time! May the person who did my plumbing, be infested with a thousand fleas and arms to short to scratch!
  13. Wayne. Do you have anything on the panel that looks like a 3/8" or 5/8" button? I have 2 and they pop off, under them there is a screw. I have not done that and don't expect too! My cover for mirror adjustment and mirror heat is held on by 2 screws....same with the control panel for Power gear (4 screws)! I'm surprised that with all the problems you had with the 2008 WB, that you bought a 2015 WB !
  14. Joe S. North or South, I prefer it. You miss so much of the Ocala, Lake City and I-10/I-75 traffic. Back in the 80's, we would take the coastal road from Panama City all the way down to Naples and 41 across to Homestead and out to Cujo key, where we spent the last week of December to March! Stone Crab Claws, Snapper and Avocados the size of a mans head.
  15. What's happened here, I'm answering one post and then Herman snuck in before me...then I explain that, lost internet connection for 5 minutes and Blake comes in...Arrrgh!
  16. Blake. The only time my pump goes off, without the water faucet in coach on, is when it's on tank. I have a ball valve (brass) before the water system T, when horizontal it's on tank, vertical it's on city! There is a built in water pressure gauge in my bay. It's set at 60psi We are now back at the ranch and I'm on well water, with no problems and no water going into tank. I suspect I had a pressure surge at the RV Park in Harlingen, Texas, only explanation that makes sense. We are suppose to be in the 50's today, so I'm going to trace everything I can find in the water bay & mark with a black pen, the direction of flow, also change out whole house filter and clean any screens. Waiting on check valve to be delivered...Linda has about 50 pounds of stuff from Amazon coming also!
  17. I saw the aftermath of a panic stop and the GMC was half buried in the engine compartment of a 45' DP! No brake on toad. I know him, FMCA member and it cost him $93,000+ and the cost of a new toad. But he did save $1,100 by not getting a AF1 or M&G installed ! The coach was a AC Eagle 2014. No it was not FIVE.
  18. I like to cut off I-10 just East of Tallahassee and go down hwy. 19/98 to Perry, FL. That's the "old hwy." to Tampa, but now, I take it to the Ocala cut off in Chiefland, hwy. 27Alt., and then get on I-75S in Ocala. Where in Tampa are you going?
  19. I'm not adding check valve. I'm replacing it, with a inline valve!
  20. Yup, 4,500 in Texas. I could legally tow my Jeep with no brakes...I would be a fool to do it. bm. "common sense", may not be very common where you live or are from. Here in Texas, there is more of that, than speculation. Let's say that your involved in an accident, in your coach with no brakes on your toad. Your fault or not, the odds are favorable that neither insurance company is going to cover your cost. All this discussion is about, is $1,000 against a $100,000 to 2 million dollar investment. Most of us on this Forum, could write a book on all the things that can and have happened to a coach, gas or diesel, in a Panic Stop by a toad with no brakes!
  21. 3/16" is the front bumper of my Jeep! When you get everything finished, have the coach weight corner to corner, probably a noticeable difference on front left. Adjust tire pressure to compensate. Hope you had it done before the project also! Your handy! Also looks like you don't have a shortage of tools in the garage.
  22. The states that have the brake law is mostly 2,500 or more. Canada is any toad, be it 4 down car, car dolly or car on trailer...Don't know about Mexico or other countries...if I go, I'll find out before I leave. That's called common sense !
  23. John. Welcome! If you post the information of where and from location on the Forum, as many others have, we will help you with most of the information you seek. Our members are from or live in every corner of North America and some travel constantly.
  24. jb. It's now under Road Side Assist.
