  1. Mike. The last Sta-bil for diesel, I bought was found in the Garden Center of Home Depot.
  2. Suggest you send a PM to RSBILLEDWARDS, he's either there now or on his way...all he does is Boondock!
  3. Jim S. There is no dumb question on the Forum! My guess would be yes, but much higher heat than your thinking about...kind of like Paraffin extraction from crude, there is or was such a plant in Bay Town off of I-10 before Belmont, TX.
  4. Tax free Municipal Bond fund, such as, but not limited too...Levine, Eagle or Blackrock paid 6.25 % average per year, over the past 7 years. That's equal to over 9% taxable, per year! You don't need mega bucks to get a Mutual Fund...$50 a month from any brokerage, over time it builds in value and yield. Now that's IMHO mathematics. that anyone can understand.
  5. To me, very interesting! My work as a retired Petroleum Engineer, was to drill for oil and gas, not refine it ! That part was never high on my wish list...now I got a taste of what I was missing! Thank you.
  6. I'll second that ! Beg Mother Nature, no more last 2 weeks in Texas, Please! Flip Flops and T-shirt is the norm.
  7. That's a good thought....only from a Sail boater! Back in the late 70's, early 80's, my DW would take 2 of her kids skiing in Ruidoso, NM and they would stay at Apache Mountain, right behind the ski lift, all weekend in sub zero weather, over 11,700 feet. Never had a problem with the Dometic fridge. She had it on LP!
  8. Guess, he was not very hungry for "Ex-Northern cop"! They still have all the Rubber Gators on 41? csipple. Welcome to the Forum! Are you camping for a while in that area? You can't see all there is in just one or two days...I really have no suggestion of where to stay, because of Hurricane Irma...I suggest you hover your mouse over ISP Avatar and you'll see message, send him one...he lives there.
  9. You only forgot, by running your hand from bottom towards the top of a bottle, as it's being used or just shut off, you can feel the cold, then warmth and that is how much liquid is still in bottle(if you don't have a gauge)! On the small green portable bottles, most users will throw them away, there is still enough liquid left to grill a steak!
  10. Kay. The tank pressure gauge says 50/50 mix, so it would freeze at the temps Richard has had. Normal for North America (Canada included) is a 20/80 mix.
  11. Yep. This time of year, I use the Kleen White, warm, hot months, the Silver/Grey. I get most off it at Wall Mart or Tractor Supply. I run the gas version in my Jeep! Rich, totally agree.
  12. WBill. Linda kept telling me, "Bill is not from Texas! He's like you, a transplant"! LOL...Thanks, now I got to eat crow!
  13. ccummings7. Welcome. I had a similar problem with mine, when I had it operational, it's still in Jeep, but now using M&G as it is a better set up for "Off Roading"! My mechanic, did the same as yours did, it works. He went one step further, enclosed the whole unit in a Plexiglas Box with rubber seal around the lid in front, so I could still open it and adjust the brake setting. Total waterproof, you might want to do the same, since your floor is a lot lower than mine...by the way, we did the same with the on board computer, that's still functional.
  14. Dusty. Welcome to the Forum! Is this your first experience with cold winter weather? I see, you have been a member since 2009....Is this a test?
  15. f330021. With all due respect for your knowledge. 2 bikes on front, Trooper II as toad, 3 coaches and over 120,000 miles in 9 years, all over the USA including Alaska and Canada. No problems. This was, in coaches built in 1980's! 2 was Class A, Gas and 1 Class A, DP all under 34 foot. Guess we just built better back then!
  16. TT, you can still run? I gave that up 20 years ago...bad knees! How's the weather at your place now? As bad as ours? I suspect that big 5'er of yours is a mite cold now!
  17. Wayne. Don't hold your breath! I just hope it does not stay more than a day or two next time! It's now 5am and it's 28 in Three Rivers, TX., and 33 in Ruidoso, NM., at 7,000' ! That's insane.
  18. Well, what I get from this, and I don't know much about paint and clear coat, is that it's not a bad paint job, as much as it is bad timing, in the application of the clear coat. Witch explains why, the cost of a re paint, is based upon the amount of colors you want and the design= hours of labor + the quality of the paint and clear coat = a lot of money! A "cookie cutter coach", would not have as good a job as a "custom coach"! I maybe wrong, but that's the impression I get. IMHO with a low end mass produced coach, you'll get the same paint job as their high end coach, in quality....same paint shop, by the same people! CC is also the same shop, but they are allowed the time and quality of material to get it right the first time. If I'm wrong, please tell me!
  19. You have a battery cut off (Salesman) switch next to the floor switch, is that what you want to tie into?
  20. With the mountain air chassis and 450, good assumption, it's a 3000 and yea, you can chip it thru Cummins to 495, but it will still be the same torque! I asked on my 425 and that's the answer I got. I did ask if they could put in a bigger engine and Allison 4000...$40K+, I said no thanks!
  21. It was in the advertising section in back of the FMCA Magazine until about 1990 is the last time I saw it. Ask FMCA for a copy of the 1985 (to be safe), any month magazine.
  22. R&S. I have had 17 class A's! None of them had a fuel fill in front of coach...by driver and passenger, way back on DS but never in front. I have seen a lot of Rexhall's, I guess I didn't pay attention to where does the fuel go (who looks for that?)! My last front MC carrier was built in Gary, IN. We drove up from Texas and had it installed on the front of a 1981 Apollo 31 foot gasser, then transferred it to a 1983 Apollo 33 foot. Then it went on the front of a 1987 DP Barth 34 foot Custom!
  23. Right, we are not "OTR" trucks! LOL
  24. Mark. The RV. Traveler said the same thing as we already knew. Motorized RV's (motor homes) are still interest deductible and TT are not. The CNBC article, is skewed news, as it always is and according to all else I have read, has no bearing off the truth...out of context.
