  1. flokens. Welcome to the Forum! Have you tried calling REV in Decatur, IN. they own the Safari Brand, ask for Tech Department and have your VIN# and engine # handy. Safari International has their own Forum. If all else fails, send a PM to RSBILLEDWARDS on this Forum, he has 2 Safari's!
  2. Nancy. There are several cost effective RV Parks between Sydney and Campbell River on Vancouver Island . Your biggest expense is the ferry's! DD69 is correct about the parks, some have basic service others not, all have a "dump"! Sorry, it's been a long time since I did that loop...send a PM to Tom Butler. He's been everywhere! Or close to it.
  3. WBill. Kicking your tires, is a bit "old fashioned" !
  4. Also, Bamboo and Cork...or at least he did 2 years ago! Carl
  5. Chad. Welcome to the Forum! You have a 2007 Rev also and a socket problem? Herman. Your right about the "simple" part.
  6. mark. Welcome to the Forum! What make, model and year coach do you have?
  7. FMCA is not a business, all are non paid volunteers! Yes, the folks on the EB get their qualifying expenses back! FMC is a for profit business and people get salaries and insurance just like any business. Sorry Bill Adams, you need to read the Constitution, Charter and By Laws!
  8. Kay. 60's and 70's we still had "Barge" Fuel...ugly stuff.
  9. Bobby. Welcome to the Forum! You do realize that this Post is 7 and 1/2 years old???
  10. Blake. There are a lot of Lebanon's...what State?
  11. Have you called the tech department at Fleetwood? I don't think the 07 was a part of American Coach then...they are now!
  12. I'm with CarlAda. Same reason I use a RE Agent to buy or sell property! No headache, no surprises...85-90% of something is a lot better than 100% of nothing!
  13. Bill A. GB, probably mid 60's...EB 70+! I'm GB or was, 74+. I don't have a answer, but I also would like to see the 30 to 50 year olds on both boards, same with The Future Planning Committee and FMCA Rally Committee! Truth be told, there are a lot of vocal ideas, but nobody is stepping up to the plate! Everyone has an opinion and then an excuse of why they can't be involved on any level...that is why you have us old dinosaurs, year after year!
  14. Congrats on your new coach Jim! That's the one that Linda want's...I want the 40', wonder if they do a 2 coach discount? Without the DS? Carl
  15. When we where in Bremen, IN. I contacted both American Coach and Newmar. Same answer, high pressure hose (900-1,200 pounds) to rough up and rinse off, then use a scotch pad and soapy water, then rinse until clear. Let dry and apply Dicor, then apply wax. Also, this all is done after you re-caulk if needed. About $500 and a case of beer, or $1,800 in shop!
  16. Mine is in horrid shape with chips, cracks and bugs that I have not been able to remove...I will use a power washer next, now that I have one. I checked with a shop and was quoted $3,200 to remove the shield and another $1,800 to re paint and 2 coats of clear. There are some that sand and buff it off, then apply Rhino Armor and paint it to match coach, $4,500! If the power washer don't do it, then I'll go with Rhino Armor.
  17. Welcome to the Forum! May I add FMCA also? Have a great time and journey! Carl
  18. Tom, you are correct. Bill A. Ditto X2. For a escort service in a RV Park/Resort? No!
  19. I don't care if my roof looks good, I just don't want leaks and white streaks! My home roof looks good and is functional, it's visible to all....my coach roof is only visible to birds, insects, plans and drones!
  20. Bill. This time I will agree with that thought...some one/ or one's will make a pot full of gold on this deal, if it goes thru! Carl
  21. DD69, is that on a coach with a combined B & G tank?
  22. Jack. Welcome! My 45 footer and Jeep, will take out the corner store or car if I'm not careful in my turns. Left is easier than right. No matter what you have, find a large empty parking lot or rural road and practice until you feel comfortable! The shorter your coach, the less you have to compensate. As Herman said, let us know what you have...also, don't back up! Carl C.
  23. Bill. What cables? You seem to know where or what they are! I only know about the knife valves, pull the "T" handle that's attached to the metal rod that opens/closes valve.
  24. Jim. There are 4 screws that attach the panel, take a look at the wires for the awning and check their location(how close the hot wire is to the water heater switch), thinking your right about the cover of the wire is exposing the copper. We have a rolling earthquake and things move around over time! My Lady has a 2006 Phaethon 40 foot, I'll look at her electric schematic this morning.
