  1. Call Tiffin in Red Bay, AL and ask for Tech department...have your VIN# handy. I think not. The Phaeton was a entry level DP, so your KD was an option or was added on at a later date.
  2. F470xxx I just tried also. I think Herman does this on purpose... Winnebago and Monaco is 2 different "animals" and I suspect you'll be better off going with Ian's suggestion!
  3. My re generation was every 3 to 4 thousand miles 4 years ago. Then it dropped to 2,500 and now it's 400. I have heard about having the filter "baked", is it worth the cost and time? What's a new one cost? Coach has 72,400+ miles. Carl
  4. I have used the wash/wax before (borrowed from a friend) and it's a good system...so is Lucas Slick Mist. For the price of ww, I can get a couple of dozen bottles of Lucas! In the past 3 years, all I have used is Lucas...my coach gets wet in a rain storm. A bottle of Lucas in Wall Mart is $9 and does my coach and toad twice. Got the collapsible pole at a paint store and Linda found the 2 V heads at Target. Pole is 3' extends to 12' !
  5. Ditto. We are here for the questions as they arise, 24/7 ! Welcome to the Forum! Carl
  6. Isaaac1. Thank you for not sugar coating it. Even at 74+, I can still remember why I joined FMCA first and not Good Sam...it was all about my coach and like minded folks! No one had a toad or even thought about it. The annual convention (no winter or area) had to do about seeing what everyone was driving, new coaches and ideas, to make our journey easier! Most folks had their kids with them, yes Dad took his vacation around the convention, that's why it's called Family MCA! There was no texting, internet or high tech devises, so kids found their own things to do during the day and joined in with families for supper and evening entertainment. The entertainment was off the day, not 40+ years old. As I see it, the biggest problem of today is the internet. Grandparents, parents and kids are all on Facebook, Twitter and other Social Media! They don't have time to interact as a Family unit anymore! I see so many RV family's driving down the road and the only one not, on a mobile devise, is the driver! I do agree with you. Something has got to change within FMCA, before we talk or even think about expanding! Carl C.
  7. Dons. A variation of a Earth Roamer. Deep pockets will get you anything! jimnorman. I didn't think I had to go into detail...apparently I should have. There are towables out there in the one million dollar + class, that have most of what you state they don't have. Talk to a Newell rep...yes, Newell makes Custom 51 to 55 foot, fifth wheel trailers. Several others do the same. Then there are horse trailers that will nock your socks off.
  8. Yes, I find that to be true. Also, in the writhen comments.
  9. Wow! Can't believe that it's been 16 months since we heard from Rodger S. The only thing I have heard, is that Dogs can't hear themselves bark! So they don't know why or what they are being punished for...
  10. 6 years and all 8 goes on a hay trailer, that never see's the highway! Have had blow out's over the years...still gets to my nerves, even after 50 years of class "A's"! 10 year old's? I would call a mobile tire service to replace then all ! Carl
  11. MWeiner. Nothing against your Roadtrek, it's a brand that has been around for a long time. Problem is the MB diesel engine, it's not designed or made for the USA EPA market. MB market is Europe, Russia, China and Australia. Small, narrow road's and mostly 115km speed limits on the major highways....not our Interstates! MB makes their own Van's for that engine, they are small 12 to 15 foot, inn city delivery vans! I just came back from Scandinavia last Saturday and saw hundreds off them in the 2 weeks I was there (annual event, since 1984). Send Joe Lemont a PM....he knows your engine. Carl
  12. smsdavies. One question. If your 4 kids are attending seminars "school" at rallies and Indy was your first rally...how can that be? MWeimer. Your coach is a Van Conversion aka Class "B"! Towables, are what the term implies...being towed by some movable means! The only difference between a Towable and a Coach, is the engine/transmission. Truck slide in campers (regardless of cost), boats, etc was deemed unacceptable in the definition amendment that we passed. "old establishment, representative"....WOW! For your information ! Non of us get paid, I get no $$$ compensation for traveling all over the lower 48 every year representing YOU ! Since everything the Governance does, we represent every member of FMCA, not just the chapter we belong to! Carl C.
  13. It was due to "Lawsuits" by our owners, that had over 10 year old coaches, that clause was added in! Glad to read that it's now re-arranged.
  14. Been using mine in Norway and Sweden the past 2 weeks....I get all my Snail Mail via a P.O.Box ! I called them, # on back of card, was told "there is no law against having a PO Box!" They are not suspending my account. I smell a Rat !
  15. Think I'll stay away from China this year! Sailun is distributed by the GBC Group in W. Palm Beach, FL who is part of the SCOTA Group of Tokyo, Japan.

    Mattress

I love my Sleep Number! Joe. What are you Drinking? $3K ! Geez. Carl
  17. kevin. What condition is your batteries? I don't think you have a ATS problem, since you can go from Post to Generator and back.! When your on Post or Generator, your Magnum board inside will show what each bank is getting in voltage from batteries...If you have acid batteries, you need to check them for fluid level every month and add distilled water as needed. If you have AGM batteries...have you changed them out for new ones or are they 2010's? It would help to know where your at? When you get "No Service", have you checked your main CB?
  18. Herman. Some times, I worry about you! Galax, VA. would be my choice or the Natchez Trail !
  19. You will be very lucky to see 200K. You will probably have a major repair around 85,000 miles on your MB engine! I'm like Bill.
  20. My 2 cents. Had this been presented to a ND prior to the FMCA Convention, it could have been voted on and all the above be a moot point ! We have said over and over again, if you have a concern, idea or question, then contact your Chapter ND. If your not a member of a Chapter, then contact a Area VP...All information is on main FMCA.com...not rocket science ! As has been repeated over and over again, by Brett, Herman, Ross and Dons....VOTE ! Carl
  21. The men in blue take care of their own, even when one turned into a mechanic! Go see your friendly neighborhood cops... It also helps to remind everyone that you have 3 women onboard..
  22. You should have a Cummins catalog that came with coach (Green and half the height of owners catalog), in back is the meaning of most #'s and letters of the ck engine codes !
  23. Rather difficult for us to get a real number. There are 70,000+/- and 110,000+/- members, both numbers are correct. The F# does not go away, so if the original owner of the # dies and is re issued to the Daughter, Son or Grand Daughter, Grand Son...is it counted again. as a new member or is it a continuation of the old? You also have the L#'s, A#'s and C#'s!
  24. TS. You probably would get a better answer from your current Insurance agent. I'll assume you have current insurance on your car/coach!
