  1. Check out the Post on Fire. If nothing else will open your eyes to make a switch that will.

Best to have a side radiator. I have friends in FL. and NC that carry their MC's on those lifts...works great, but the bike gets real dirty with a rear radiator. Some of those kind of lifts are hydraulic electric and some are cable electric.
  3. Blake, did you also forget where you live? Wow. .50 and .44, both bad...think Bear hunting in Alaska on the .44 & .357
  4. I would recommend a pre 2007 Country Coach, Holiday Rambler, Monaco Dynasty, Foretravel. All Diesel, all on their own chassis and all top quality. They also came as 40 foot with tag, on up to 45 foot. Those are the "Cookie Cutters"! For a Prevost or Newell in your price range, your looking pre 2002 with no slide in Prevost and 2001 with 3 slides in Newell. I know nothing about the big class C's, other than a 45 foot = 37 feet of living space! Carl

Are you on shore power or generator ? I had a 1997 Allegro that was set up like yours, Converter only. When on Pedestal or generator it would charge my 12V system. That's what a converter does. To use your 12V system for 120VAC you need an Inverter. Sometimes they hide both of them...my converter was mounted under the kitchen sink ! I suggest you look in your owners manual and see if you have a separate Inverter...I think not !

Thanks Bill, wasn't sure...there was/is a company who makes the one arm. Tombstone. Welcome to the Forum! Suggest you goggle it...there are dealers, mostly in Nevada, CA. and AZ. But other Shops, like Smithy in Houston,TX can get them for you and do the installation. Before you think about it, make sure your coach chassis can handle the extra weight and overhang. Not a good fit for a gas coach.
  7. Insanity! I'm with Herman.
  8. rtdavew. Welcome back! You could drop down to Hugo and get on Hwy 271 to Paris, then take 65E to 98...98 goes all the way to Tampa! It's a scenic route and will take a minimum of a week. 98 is the old (in good shape) way to get from Gulf Shore, AL. to Hwy 1 and Key West, FL. Carl
  9. Wow! What a shame! Totally agree with Herman. Up to you, if the lifestyle you had, outweighs the horror you experienced. When you both feel inclined to do so, you should sit down and list the things you like vs don't. Good Luck Carl

Is that a single shaft, self aligning hitch, for Jeep? Or just the angle of pic.
  11. I posted at the same time as both of you...I lost. Desert Eagle, interesting!!
  12. Blake, my guess would be a 9mm or a .45, at a shooting range! Military, Cop, Instructor or civilian personal carry permit...
  13. All State, State Farm and Hartford Ins. is also good!
  14. I forgot. Most RV parks back in the 1980's still had 30A ! Wasn't until 90's that they started to use 50A.
  15. What is the mileage and is it a Diesel or Gas Coach? Each needs different and some same attention. Make, Model and Engine would help !
  16. I just re-read this whole post again and like Herman, my eyes and brain is starting to cross. So, as to not over think on this, I still believe that the "other" transfer switch, that was not needed per instruction, is in fact needed. Why did you decide to use 2, 30A and not the 50A to begin with? I don't see an advantage of 2, 30A coming in !
  17. I feel for you. I had better access on my old side mounted (in a bay) gas generators. Not seen one in front before, that was not on a slide! Geez. Shut off valve would help..
  18. Sorry, that should read single wire plugged in to 120v at post.
  19. Unless, I'm miss reading manual p. 7. That leads right back to what Kay wrote earlier, your problem is at the post or origin of AC. Also, have you tried as Kay also suggested, run a single wire from coach back to post as a ground?
  20. Happy Easter weekend to you all. Travel Safe out there...
  21. So many variables, when your dealing second hand. Any chance you can get your brother-in-law to join Forum, so we can deal with him direct? He need not be a FMCA member! We would certainly like it if he would join, but not mandatory. Carl
  22. I have bought many acid batteries, over the years, for RV's and cars, that I had to go back and exchange for another because it was bad. You don't know how long a battery has been sitting on a shelf, before you bought it. Same for Gel and AGM. Never assume anything
  23. FIVE. I prefer a cruise and the week or two post cruise tours...rail and bus. Done about 2 dozen over the past 30 years!
