  1. Barkley, Where are you parked? If you came from Cochran, you had a short drive. Carl
  2. Tradition, by American Coach. I flushed system after dumping and red light is gone, it now flushes! In the morning I will put Dawn and Borax in bowl and flush with about 10 gal of water, then go outside and back flush for 10 minutes and let it sit for an hour before dumping. May work. I'll be back in Gladewater next Wed. for 4 days....I will have a squeaky clean black water tank when I leave for Galveston next Sat. The ranch workers have pulled black tanks a lot, James has 3 custom trailers for full living and 2 horses in each! Carl
  3. Kay. I used that system ail the time, before I had this current set up, I don't have access to tank via toilet anymore! Only via the bay flush system! When I have the time, this toilet w I'll be replaced by a regular foot valve dump, so I can go back to ice cubebs and GEO! I. Started user guide ice back in the early 70's and it works! Carl
  4. I will now hook up 40' of 3" and empty holding tanks. Not what I had planned today! Carl
  5. Joe. You at least have your priorities right. Man, life with one female is hard enough, 3 ? Not me...I want to remain "sane", whatever that is! Carl
  6. Joe. Yes, that is what I refer to in "back Flush". It cures the problem temporarily. The toilet is electric flush and will not allow you to flush when it senses that tank is full. It's only half full and I have had this problem for 2 1/2 years now! Don't ever get a Dometic 8700.
  7. I think I have something in black tank that is covering my sensor for levels, currently I'm at half full but my macerator toilet is showing full and will not flush! If I dump now and back flush, it will work again for a quarter, half, or full....any thoughts on solution other than dropping tank? Carl
  8. Removed one about 4 years ago, will never do it again! I suggest you get a timer from Wall Mart $2 ! I got 5 of them, coach, house, grill and spares! Carl
  9. If I had a 80 pound Husky, I would only have a slingshot with steel balls! Carl
  10. My Mother sprayed it on her hands, claimed it helped her arthritics ! Have not tried it. I was not going to argue with a mid 80 year old retired Dermatologist !!!
  11. Not a "Chief" Look at front, cab is lower than roof. Champion is a poss. The whole coach is a POS. They would probably pay you to have it towed ! Carl
  12. Herman. Good Morning. I was just going to post the same question ! I got me a golf cart yesterday. Carl
  13. kranky. The last time I saw your coach up close and personal, was in 1987. I don't remember the owners name, but like me, they where members of the FMCA Texas Outlaws and Cruising Cajuns. When he drove it in to the RV Park in Eunice, LA the first time, it drew the attention of the whole park ! I suspect it would do the same today! Check under Chapters, there used to be and might still be a Vogue Club! I love seeing the "Old" classics on the road ! In the 1980's the Industry was still young ! Come to think of it, everyone on this post was young. Not Joe, he was barely legal ! Please post some pic. of interior! I roll at 63-65 on Interstate and 58-60 on Secondary roads! Carl
  14. Robert. On this page, next topic down from you, it gets explicit from several others...If you have not done so, please read it. Your controller is for a electric system, what you need is an independent system that you can't fiddle with inside the DP. Carl
  15. Ron, Joe. The word of the day is KISS = Keep it Simple Stupid ! I LOVE it...
  16. Everyone does their waste differently and run down the road differently! When my gray tank is 3/4 full, my black is about 1/2, so I pull the blade on BW first and then pull gray, that cleansed the hose, then close gray. Both closed until needed again. Bay door locked....I hate it when my 3" runs away! Water hose is always on. Running down the road, I'm switched over to fresh water tank and I just turn pump on/off as needed. If I eat in coach during day, I use my finest Corel china and utensils, before hitting road again, I place about 2" of hot, soapy (Dawn) water in sink with plate and silver ware, place cover over sink and let the coach wash ! I'm not concerned about what goes bump in the day. Just at night! Camping should be as simple as possible ! I'm now going to pour some wine and have a pleasant HH in Perry RV Park! Carl
  17. Herman. Your referring to a snorkel kit and it was designed for a carburetor engine....some kids put them on for show! My computer equipment is under dash, most cars have them under front seat...it gets wet, your out major money and I have no wish to have water to top of engine! I'm taking Jeep to Jiffy Lube tomorrow for new fluid in both differentials...during the Storm & Flood in Gladewater last week I had water up to floor boards on 3 occasions. Preventive maintenance. Joe. Yes, break away you got to have ! Carl
  18. Did we loose another OP? Don't think he want's to give us the name of the person at Blue Ox ! Carl
  19. Thank you for sharing ! I let Cummins Coach Care do all that 3 weeks ago, including the change of all hoses and belts on engine and generator, with the oil change! Carl
  20. No! Call Thetford tech or google they may have a picture and wire diagram on a Pdf.
  21. I do not lube coach hitch or secondary hitch for receiver (4" higher), I spray in WD-40 ! Remember, it was invented to keep the exterior of a Light House Tower Dry & Prevent Rust. Took 40 tries to get mixture correct and the rest is history! Also use it for step ! Before any ??? comments, yes, for Industrial use, you can buy it in bulk ! Otherwise it would take a lot of cans to do a light house... Carl
  22. 50 re calls later and "NO COLD" still has a problem! Dometic didn't have as many, but enough. Samsung residential does not require pure sine wave! They come in many sizes. Joe. My first residential frig. was on a Winnebago Tour 40 foot, 07' a Samsung 3 door French model. Big, 25cu. Carl
  23. Robert. Welcome to the Forum! You mention that you have a coach, is it gas or diesel? Also, what type of toad do you have? In regards to controller, is that for utility trailer or a pull behind RV trailer? If you post in same style as Kay and I have under our name, please. Carl
  24. Heritage does not surprise me! Oh, well, time to think of another brand down the road ! Tired of the BS....end of a era! I will check it out here at Perry the 17th. Carl
  25. Probably did. Go to Chevy parts in any Dealership. Or as Blake said. Bring engine # . Call your coach manufacturer Tech. Department!
