I will give you a "Pat" on head! If I carry my PI, witch I normally don't, I connect it first, turn CG CB on and wait until I have nothing but green lights, then I'll connect coach. I only carry PI when going to FMCA Convention and I have to use a 30A. CB that is rigged to a massive generator...I have had reverse polarity before! My coach does have a built in system!
-
It is, what it is! Not FMCA's fault. Good Luck with your Honda...I like Jeep W.
-
Bill. You really need a good spell check! Do you ever re read what your about to post? Other than that, your right! Carl
-
Joe. You, just made my day! I'm so HAPPY to know that the RV Industry is not the only craps shoot out there!
-
I just sent the OP a PM...
-
While your all beating each other up and since we know how our coaches work or don't....what happened to the OP? Wayne, said it best...we can't help unless we know what they have! May not even be a coach....remember the high dollar "horse trailer"? It was not until the last post that we found out the Lady also had a Wanderlodge and a F# ! Just for the 2016 record: Mine is key on, engine off for all slides and Leveling Jacks or Air Leveling! KISS.

RV Dealers: Are They All Like This?
manholt replied to mwilson8@rochester.rr.com's topic in General Discussion
I take it, you live in Vegas? Where is the coach made? As for original question, FIVE answered it ! -
I'm surprised that the 3 of you are surprised! My Inverter is on while I'm driving now, and charger is on when I'm in storage and the last 2 days when I have been in a CG for longer than a week!

Joe. I'm not familiar with a "Sleeper Cab", just my lil old Coach. My house batteries are located in a basement bay and I suspect it has plenty of air circulation...where are they in a "Sleeper Cab"!
-
My DW and I noticed that most of the "camp for the RV season", that Joe mentioned, are predominantly in NE (New England) States and NW (Oregon, Washington and Idaho). Like many others in the late 70's and early 80's, we would go to their free overnight to collect the free goodies, by listening to their spiel. All the kids got free sleeping bags, igloo ice chests, Colman lanterns and 2 burner Colman stove with the gas bottle...it took us a trip to all the TT sights in Texas, twice! DW's kids, wanted the morning comfort of a Motor Home, but the privacy of a tent! That arrangement worked real well for 2 years....until the 10" of rain in one night! We asked the kids and their 2 friends to come with us to the Evening show in Palo Duro Canyon and they did not want too! Well we had a Blue Northern come thru about 9pm. Canyon got closed, temp dropped like a rock and rain turned to sleet...we got back to campground and the tents was blown away (what do you mean, "we have to take care of camping equipment"? ). Last outing with over 18 kids! DW told them to buy their own!

Blake. You haven't missed a thing...all the "Campground memberships" have come out in the 48+ years that I have been coach RV'g. Have been to them all ! Bill. Don't "Sugar Coat it", tell it like it is! You can go to any RV Rally, be it trailers or motorhomes, and there is going to be a "Sell or Buy a Campground Membership" booth there! Last one I saw was at Perry, GA. Like Bill said, there is a small % of the market that like that sort of thing! Carl
-
There are still a lot of people out there that will not replace their Saturn's! Between Subaru, Saturn, Honda and Jeep W. That's 80% of Market. Your right, Remco has always been great! Carl
-
Tim. I had Blue Sky, a lot of us did, until they went up 115% across the board on Comprehensive and Collision...now I don't ! Now all I carry is liability and a very high umbrella coverage!
-
Tim. Over the course of a year, we really don't get that many questions about it from FMCA members! Carl
-
Elniff. Welcome to the Forum! Your first mistake was to take it to CW! What type and make coach do you have? Carl
-
Tim. Call Tiffin with your Vin# first! Rich. On the "Newer" models, Open Road is a Allegro, Allegro is open road. If you search under Allegro, you get all the lengths and floor plans! Search under Open Road and you get nothing...I just played that game in Perry...figured you was to busy trying to get your Computer RV life back! Carl
-
Well, there is bracket racing for over the road tractors and plow the field tractors...So, why not DP's? Joe. You could roll down here to Texas during the winter and get this thing started, so to speak. All Bill and I got, is to look at the Deer and Antelope play, along with the Axis and Impalas...exotic game ranch escapees! Don't forget to bring ObedB with you...he'd be a hoot! Carl
-
Joe. You take him to lunch! Bet this is more fun, than a barrel of monkeys, for Todd ! I would be bored to death, sitting around everyday, drinking coffee and looking at a screen! Also, don't think he is a volunteer, non paid employee! Carl
-
My signature is back. So is Todd...Ok Todd, I'll answer yours also...Your right, but I can only speak for myself...your "Like/Hate" buttons is non productive! I would only use it to amuse myself !
-
You still think Herman? I had no idea it was you that sent me a PM...in other words, I want to know "WHO" is sending me a PM (witch is not Personal, since it also is monitored 24/7)! Just like 99.9% of us, don't open anything in our Email account...unless you have a burning desire to "crash the system"! Carl (???) maybe.. Attn: does this go as a PM reply to Herman? Or to Forum? Since Todd M. just injected himself into a PM...things are now under "Big Brother" is watching! At 73, I just don't need this from anyone!
-
Here's a new one. I hit Brett and Joe's little heart button....guess what, I got? "You are not allowed to use the LIKE button!" Too much for me, I'll try the FMCA Forum again some other time in the future...If this is the best FMCA can do as a "up graded, new and improved"? No wonder we are beating the bushes for "NEW" members! Carl
-
Yes, and now this tread on Forum is missing! I also don't like the new PM format, It does not tell you who has sent one...you find that out later. Carl
-
All you got to do is call one and they will give you a date to come in and generally you get 2 or 3 nights free....after that, you will have no further Questions! Carl
