  1. I live in Texas and I don't do extended warranties on anything! Put the $$ in a separate account and you will save $$! Think of Insurance as a casino. Who makes $$ and why. they all bet on the pass line and win big! Carl
  2. A coach with all tile (mine are heated) is still cold on old bare feet! When I bought my last house in 07', it had 2336 sq. feet of tile! I replaced it with Bamboo in kitchen and bathrooms, the rest is wood. I still have rug in bedrooms! Since I have decided to keep this coach, instead of getting a new one in Perry. It will be all wood as I slowly re model it. Yes, I will get back with Erniee! I don't know what the weight of tile is, other than a bunch! Carl
  3. jergeod. That's good information! Thank you. Carl
  4. Gotten 2 mails from Escapee about all RV's coming under the HUD building standard. Not law yet! It would be totally ridicules, has anyone in FMCA been on this also? Like the legal dept? Carl
  5. Ouch! No Tax in Oregon. Montana, New H. But a $289 federal in all states! Suppose to be disposal fee....friend came for my 8. Still had to pay the Feds! FIVE. Was that with the FMCA Fleet? Carl
  6. I love cast iron and have a bunch at house, unfortunately it weights a ton, so only have one pot with lid in coach. I also use Mc Ware from Houma, LA. and Kitchen Aid frying pans...for out doors I use a Weber 200 grill and a Cajun Cooker. Carl
  7. I like traveling by ship as much as by RV. The new thing (about 4 years) is women of all ages will have one or two miniature dogs in a baby buggy aboard ship. They call them Anxiety Dogs! I have seen more than a dozen women that can't seem to understand that what may be legal in the US, does not apply in foreign countries! The Service dogs that we, and most other Nations around the world recognize as legitimate, does not cover Anxiety! One told me last year in late April on a Trans Atlantic cruise to Barcelona, Spain that she could not leave her "children" at home! I asked her if she had checked on the Import laws of Spain and she informed me that both dogs where protected as Service dogs! The doggie police got them in Barcelona....3 months Quarantine at US $ 20 per day, per dog! Very expensive lesson! Carl
  8. Joe. You, need "something new to play with"? A better mouse trap, for the week-end warrior! No wonder your DW gives you, that stare... Carl
  9. In campgrounds, I always make sure that breaker is off. I have been in some parks, where I take a tester and make sure its off before plugging in. Carl
  10. Miss information? Not sure what his real problem is! Herman. I do the tank and pump thing also...low pressure and too high pressure With a 100 gal tank it's convenient. You'll be driving in two to three days of heavy rain to Perry. I'm now in Gladewater until the 13th. We are suppose to get 5" to 8" of rain Tues-Thurs! Carl
  11. Place some extra insulation in the dog house cover and you don't hear much...
  12. Herman. Are you double dipping? Cabinets and doors...always been that way! A coach new, will run as much or more than the house, so it better have as good cabinets and fit/finish as the house! Carl
  13. 7mpg at 65? I'll take that any day! I run at 63mph on economy mode. That's 1600 to 1650rpm. Avg. mpg 6.5/7.2. On a 425 Cummins. Carl

    Guages On Dash

Joe, I thought you was a beer guy!? Feel free to toast every weekend this month! Ah, yes. Work, the great equalizer! Carl
  15. Joe. In my garage at the house, I replaced 12, double tube. 8' fluorescents, with the 1 center LEDs....more light and less amps=$$$$. They have come a long way with LEDs in the past 10 years and I suspect it will continue to evolve. The only downside so far is that you need a cover or go blind when you accidentally look at them! Carl
  16. Main reason for me to have a breaker is to prevent arching when I plug in....I don't want to light my self up! Also, saves the plug! You can wait 2 minutes for the beer! If not, you have a bigger problem! Carl
  17. oneway. We know you have a Fleetwood. What year and model? Carl
  18. So, if the OP want's to spend a LOT of money, to pursue his legal option, he would have to go after Ford, not the coach manufacturer! Even though I'm sure the manufacturer knows all about this, but that you can't prove! Carl
  19. Bill. Your right. Because we now own diesel, we forget about the years of gas. When I stop and reflect on my RV past, I start remembering the really good times I had in 22' to 32' class "A"'s! With the exception of one coach, they all had rear baths and bunk beds! The lower for sleeping, upper was storage. Bath was large! My engines was 440 or 454 aspirated. We did most of our cooking outside and had none of the modern day "stuff"! Nobody had a toad until the early 1980's... We spent a lot more time outside, inside was reserved for rainy days and reading a good book or playing games...my first built in TV was on a 87' Barth. Carl
  20. sejac55. What brand and type of coach did you buy at Lazydays? Carl
  21. Did not know that Tyler was still there. Last I heard is he went to North Trails! Most everyone that I knew between 08' and 13', have moved out of State or to another Dealer. Carl
  22. All you got to do is Google the area you want to camp in and pick the one that suites your need! Same with public transportation.
