OK. Sounds like Fiat and Jeep issue...LOL. In the meantime I'll continue to tap on profile and send a reply! Thanks, Carl

For some reason I just noticed the 5th wheel part. Yea, a lot of HOA's associate (wrongly) trailers with trash. I have an Attorney that has a custom made $1,800,000 trailer and he is considered by many in the same way! I'm retired (International Drilling Consultant) and when folks hear that, then I'm Oilfield Trash...works for me! Lot's of non RV folks have pre conceived ideas. All it takes is one old trashed out trailer or MH to spoil the well ! Be proud of what you have! HOA's have a bunch of folks, with lots off time on their hands and no life! Carl

A little confused! Did you have 2 Jeeps and a Raider in a trailer? If that's the case, I can understand your choice, but why not take one Jeep flat towed and the BMW? Carl -
Why can't I use it on my iPhone 6? Carl

If you have kids, I guess $95 per night is OK for a pull thru! Cheaper than a Hotel. I'm trying to sneak up on W. Springfield because I want to avoid the traffic between DC and Connecticut! Last time I came up, was in 89' and it was horrible traffic...don't think it's gotten any better! It will be after July 22nd. I'll still be at a friends farm, against the Blue Ridge Mts, outside Ashville, NC. Carl

We are! Just remembered your upgrade, hope your happy with it. Still no picture! Other than longer coach and bigger engine, what else is worth the massive cost difference? Carl

Herman, TCC is fixing things that I would have to go to Factory for...saves me time and money and my "Time" is now priceless! Later on, after I pay for my implants (teeth), I will have some other things replaced (that I can't do myself), like all awnings with Zip Dee and that includes 2 stage roof rail awnings! The list goes on...and on... Carl

The $$$ goes up for "RV" and "Marine" items. I find most things at Home Depot, Lowes and Wall Mart for a lot less! Carl
-
Joe. I'll be in PA. about 2 weeks prior to Springfield. Don't know where you live, so send me a PM around June & we can compare Jeeps! Carl

Yea, so will Marathon, Liberty and Newell. My bank account is not that deep! Also, at almost 73 (next month) I have no clue on how much longer I want to or can tool around in a 45' coach! If I can't pay cash, I don't buy anything! I have no mortgage payments, so I would have to win the Lotto for a custom coach! Seems to me it would be better and more cost affective to re-model what I have. Carl

Flat Towing 2016 GMC Canyon RWD
manholt replied to sumterjim's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
Manual or automatic? I have had only automatics 09' and 12' both V8, with 2" lifts and 32" tires. Never had a problem towing! Carl -
Herman, hard not to be when your a Nobel with El Mina, Arabia, Ben Hur and Alzafar! The later is whom I'm with now. Very windy, 35-40 and feels cold...in a valley between Ingram and Mountain Home, TX. Your probably colder and ObedB is frozen! Carl

OK. GM doesn't feel there are enough buyers in the RV market, therefore we have Hondas and Jeeps as toads! Carl -
Yes! But it's primarily for software that does not have a lic. agreement with Microsoft. It does not mean the product is bad. Just that Microsoft is not getting paid! carl

Just read your bio. Since your family believed in the "Old Testament" & King David, Solomon, etc. Don't suppose your a Mason also? Your right, not going to be fun in the mountains for the next 3-5 days! Per Joe, it's chili time! Only hope he also likes corn bread...LOL Carl

Joe. Are you having a wee issue with the weather?

FIVE. That should be in 2020 or 21'! By then, perhaps they will have the baffle tire for us citizens, that never go flat ! Currently used on military/government vehicles !

Tiffin is very popular in USA, Canada and Europe, period!

My HOA is 72 hours in driveway, no restriction next to house! Huh?? City of Galveston has only one restriction of 12 hours (daylight, no night) on Seawall, never been enforced by city, because it's Hwy. 87 (State)! All other city streets is no "buggy" for more than 9 days (enacted in 1887) and never been changed ! My house is at the end off a cull-de-sac and I park there for loading with elect. for 5-10 days with slides out! Nothing from HOA or city in 12 years! I lived for 14 years, further west on Island and kept my coach in driveway with full H/U, not a peep from anyone, HOA or city! Carl

No toad today? No way! Prior to 1983, nobody that I knew had a toad, but all the "cookie cutter" coaches where short and operated on 15 or 30 amp! I got my first toad in 84' and never been without one since and I love the freedom! I do know a lot of people that still have no toad, but they carry motorcycles, scooters or mopeds instead...works for them! They do not play golf or go trout fishing! As Bill said, if your in a park for a length of time, then you also get a rental car and it's probably more cost efficient. My 2 cent worth. Carl -
Rich, get rid off your "PC Keeper Software" if you can and then anti-malware! Carl

Confused! Never had a GMC 4x4 Canyon, but used to have a Colorado 4x4, last one was a 2012. Flat towed and never had to have anything by Remco, just put in N and hold the 2 buttons down until they stopped blinking, take out key and go! What am I missing? Carl -
I know, that's why I'm not going there right after TCC! Some people can buy a new rig and not have a lick of trouble. I have always fallen into the other bracket!!! Carl
-
FIVE, I love it when things are wired differently from coach to coach! I don't have a switch in rear, just the plug in basement and a on/off inside coach... What year and model do you have now? Carl
-
Brett, I did not see anything about what size tire and only that it will swing R/L. Nothing about swinging down. How much does a mounted 22.5 weigh? Carl
