Joe, if I had 3 women, 2 being teenagers, I would not have laundry in coach either! Carl

Richard. Welcome to the Forum! 2 to 4 years old, OK. Slightly used, not OK. Low mileage on a DP is not what you want, ideally 5 to 10K a year keeps everything from drying out and needing to be replaced prematurely! Don't forget that a diesel is a million mile engine and need to be driven, not 100% broken in until around 40-60K. Carl

OK. Too all of you! Now that I started this, in my mind as dumb and now feel dumber, I would like to know what the pro and con is in the change over? Carl

Frustrating, But, I would stay out of court. Even should you win, which I doubt, you will loss in time, aggravation and $$$$ for atty fees! In the future read all disclaimers and now, enjoy what you bought! Carl

Is The Upcoming Georgia Rally A Good Place/ Time To Buy A Motorhome
manholt replied to nunnelee's topic in Buying an RV
nunnelee, welcome to the Forum. If you plan on trading your unit with the same manufacturer, yes you can generally get a better deal. However, it depends also on the coach you have now. We can give you a much better answer if you include the coach info under your sig...see mine. Carl -
Ray. Did not know you had a dog! Now you got 2, to explain too, why their trips was just an exercise in motion... My dog would have gone nuts, she loved to travel!!! Carl

New Motorhome Floor Plans: Practical Or Impractical - A Poll
manholt replied to aldebruijn's topic in Buying an RV
Joe. Roger is on several posts in the Forum and he sounds as he really would rather be a RV tech... Carl -
That is what I removed once. Can't was much per load. In my current unit, wash 13 pounds, dry 23! I run a load about once every 10 days. Carl

Black Particles in Ice Cubes ~ 2003 Monaco Cayman 36PBD
manholt replied to bikeryder's topic in Systems and Appliances
zorro, if you have a DW ask her that question! Also, this has to do with an ice maker! I'll let you go find an ice bag when your 100 miles from nowhere in 110 degrees! -
You could have saved a lot of time and trouble, had you remembered why you asked for help in the first place and then done what ObedB suggested!
-
Ok, I may have to do that, next time. No problem as long as there is more than a 24 foot slot. Also, no toad. Carl

I have to agree with Tom. Canada has a lot to offer and I will be going back. As long as your willing to recognize that it's a foreign country and like us, they have their own laws, then there is no problems! Next time I go, I will leave DP in a nice resort and take day trips and overnight trips in toad, until I have seen an area and then move on to the next. I have a friend from Norway and for the past 6 years, he and DW have been seeing both the lower 48 and Canada that way. They leave the DP and toad in a rented garage, in Oregon when not in use. Leave the guns here and also, don't try to bring a "liquor store" with you and you'll have no problems! Make sure there are no shells or bullets in coach or toad.... Carl

FIVE. Is yours a single or stackable? Mine is stack and the only thing I take to laundry is the comforter and blanket. I never use campground, just mine and town! Carl

Steve. Think, KISS ! Carl -
Mwilson Send a PM to ObedB....he's begging for it.
-
What I don't understand is why are you procrastinating? Dump the stuff in, you have nothing to loss! For the cost of a "rubber O ring", who would care if the DP works for 5 years or 10? If nothing works, then dump the system you have and get the air/jack system and be done with it. Carl
-
FIVE, Totally agree....but we all got to start somewhere and a lot off folks are afraid of the larger DP coach! Carl

Residential Fridge Vs Rock&Rolls & Rough Roads
manholt replied to chp007kd40's topic in Type A motorhomes
If you plan on not having power to any fridge for more than 24 hours, empty it off all food in fridge and freezer or it will be moving by itself. It is best to clean it and leave all doors open to allow air circulation. I also leave a pie pan of charcoal and kitty litter to absorb moisture! Carl -
New Motorhome Floor Plans: Practical Or Impractical - A Poll
manholt replied to aldebruijn's topic in Buying an RV
RodgerS Click on huffypuff (Ray) picture and send him a PM. His coach and toad is for sale at a price that is hard to beat! I know it's not 10 months or more down the line, but with Ray you will know that you have a trouble free unit! Carl -
Did you put the card into the receivers? Are you speaking with a DirecTV tech. who understand that your unit is on a RV and not a house? Most Reps. have "no clue" so you need to ask for an RV tech.! Carl

New Motorhome Floor Plans: Practical Or Impractical - A Poll

RogerS, Do you have now or ever had an RV? Carl -
ObedB. I was not questioning you! There are a bunch of seals that are made from non rubber compound. Therefore, Petroleum distillates will not degenerate a seal! I use Lucas all the time for different applications! Love the Slick for detailing coach. I think Roland is reacting to what he has been told about PD, rather than what he knows! I'm not an expert on seals or rubber, just fairly familiar with Petroleum after 24 years, pre retirement, as a Petroleum Engineer. Carl
-
Do you know what the seals are made off, or you just guessing?

I would take it out and leave it and before you build a closet check the floor to make sure you had no leaks. before you took delivery of coach, it's a good chance the dealer ran it to make sure it worked. Been there, a real soggy mess! Carl
