What do People Recommend for a Water Softener
manholt replied to dsabers's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Joe, I think we all miss understood you! We are talking Coach or RV water softener (that's what we do on the Forum), not a whole house! Our house system is several thousand dollars and it takes 40# bags! -
We have SkyMed. Just signed up and paid for another 3 year member ship! The way it works. If you need them, then you make all payments by credit card (CC providers know that 100% of charges will be paid back by SkyMed within 8 weeks)! Our CC is a Visa, that can only be used for SkyMed. Unfortunately, some folks don't bother to read or ask questions about a policy, before they need to use it and that's when you have problems!!!

CORNERSTONE extended warranty JUNK
manholt replied to justgreatfood's topic in Extended Service Policies
CornerStone has been in the warranty business, since 1973, headquarters in Hickory, NC & London, ON, Canada! I used them in the 1990's on both of my "Blue Water race boats!" Never had a claim refused. What make, model, year coach or RV, do you have? What claim did they turn down? -
Todays Entegra is the resurrection of Travel Supreme, but now owned by Thore!

Joe, ours does and we add in 2 table salt (Iodine Free) containers....lasts for 4,000 gallons, that's twice a year for us! With rebate it cost around $250, when full it will weigh 68 lbs. -
Bill, since he's on Forum, he lives! Other than that, know one seems to know...

Your speedometer is air controlled, check the L fitting for leak, it's made of plastic!

I have found that what tireman recommends, is not written in stone! It all depends on load and temp, nothing is constant and if your at 115 psi + 10% = 126.5 psi, that's 1.5 psi over the max cold tire pressure! As you drive, your tire psi will increase, how much depends on several factures, but basically it's outside ambient temp, road surface temp, humidity...I use 5% in Summer and 7% in winter! My coach, when we are on the road, average weight is 63,500+/- lbs + toad. I run 365/80/22.5 steer axel at 115 psi, 315/80 on drive at 100 psi and same on tag! My liquid cap is 200 fuel, 140 fresh water (normally 80%), empty gray & blake (80/60). That is the tires that Spartan use on their K3 chassis! My CCC is 71,000 lbs! In 54 years and 18 Class A's, I've had 3 blowouts! That was before radial tires and all 3 was front right.

Depends upon the year/model. Google Silverleaf for your model or call them for instruction. I have a control box in a bay, with a on/off switch, my coach is all electric and everything from chassis sensors to house is controlled by the Silverleaf...not an easy learning curve! Yours is much simpler design.

Inverter/charger must be set for the type of battery you installed. FLA or AGM. Have you tried a hard start on your SilverLeaf?

19 years old...got your $$$ worth!

Eagle eye Ray! Joe, unscrew the CB and look on other side.

Loose wire or bad ground. Is it a toggle or rocker?

Your board looks good. Does it have a battery back up? What does the backside of the board look like (post a photo).

Last year, coming back to Main from Canada, we used one toll road around Boston. That was it. All nice roads, until we got down to Memphis. -

So do we! -
Roadmaster, for Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator and Ford Expedition, never a problem! Also have had a Blue Ox for a Chevy Duramax 2500! The other one that I would recommend is Demco

timfulp. Welcome to the Forum! What make/model coach do you have? Are you on shore power in a RV Park or at home and what amperage is the CB? I don't understand, "battery cutoff switch inside coach keeps tripping?" A cut off switch is manual on/off...are you talking about a Circuit Breaker?

Storage, welcome! Problem here, your expecting a reply from a 3year old post....you'll probably get some feedback, since things got a little wet in 2017/18! I moved my coach from Blue Wave Storage in La Marque, had 2' of water in a 50' x 20' enclosed garage for a 47' 4" long coach....$285 a month! After the Storm of 2017, 2' off water is pretty good since most got 4' to 8'! I moved the coach to my girl friends (now wife) , 140' x 40' garage in the Hill Country! Most of my friends, we all lived on Galveston Island, moved their RV's, 2 hours North and West. If you hoover your mouse over "fagnami's avatar", you can send him a message!

The one with the tub & Helli pad is a converted Navistar Holiday Rambler, one built, never sold. The terrawind met the same fate, it was featured in FMCA magazine (don't remember year)! -

Dons2346, there was a man (don't remember his name or Avatar) who was in charge of the youth group and under, I think 50, group...he wanted to get rid of Governance (ND's) as we know it. He put together a petition and summited it, prior to the Indy convention....maybe he got his way! 😁 "Member Driven" to me = Area SVP's, EB, SNVP and NP ! You could also get rid of Area SVP's and it would be pure!

You can upgrade the Torque on a Allison 3000 to 1750 ft. lbs, but it won't do any good, unless you have the ISM engine.
