  1. Electric? HWH? Lipper? Full wall slide? Load is very important in regards to how it's distributed in slide.
  2. Interesting point...I have found that on a Area and National level, all volunteers are members of a Chapter! I display my Goose Egg, but not my GS or Escapees. Most GS and the same with Escapees, are FMCA members, but don't display it. Ross, I also forgot about the L# ! Then you have members who are both F# and C# ! Members who have L# and a different F# and F#, L# with the same # ! Confused yet?
  3. Lance has one for $64,000...makes sense to me, if you like to boon dock in the mountains, Baja Ca. and your short. Put one on a 4 x 4 truck...lot cheaper than a Earth roamer & can go places a ER can't.
  4. Bill, if you have a PU, then it works! A cricket will fold down and fit in most SUV's, Jeeps and even in coach bay.
  5. Richard, today, from what I have learned..20% (I believe it's more, because total membership is different from active membership)! You can count the same F# 4 times (F# with S, D, GS, GD at end of #), I have seen GGS on one, this summer in CO. on a 5'er!
  6. A gas cart comes in at 647 lbs curb weight, so it's doable...electric cart around 1,00 lbs curb weight, would not recommend it. You could opt for a cricket golf cart and carry it in your toad...we got one on order and will carry it in bed of a Jeep Gladiator, weight 305 lbs.
  7. Yes they do! Only exception is Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. By the way, you can get the GC with a 705 HP engine! Duh, I really need that on the trail to Grandmas for Christmas!
  8. Since I got married to Linda, our rate has gone way down with State Farm...she has 8 rent houses, commercial liquor store with 3 acres, the house on 3 acres in Three Rivers and the ranch with them! When my stuff joined in, I told the agent that I'm not opposed to shopping for a better rate for same coverage!
  9. johncristiano. Welcome to the Forum! On New coaches and high end used coaches, I have had Progressive, Allstate, USAA (they don't do coach or mc's anymore), they send you to Progressive! I have State Farm and it runs $487 a month for coach, SUV, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator, Chevy 2500 truck and a HD Classic Cruiser! I had a 45' AC Tradition, insured thru Progressive!
  10. Very hard to beat a Road Master Chassis! Very nice looking coach...How are you carrying the golf cart?
  11. My lifted 2013 Jeep 2 door, has never had a wobble...I run 33.75 NITTO tires on 18" wheels while towing and NITTO 35/12.5/18 bead lock, when off road. I have a 3" lift. I do not know yet if I will have any issue with my 2020 Jeep Gladiator! We'll find out next week.
  12. He has a Safe T Steer on it, IS doubt it, AB's in rear only!
  13. Richard, The Lone Star Birds, was owners of Blue Bird Motorhomes...period. Blu Bird did not go out of business, they just decided to get out of the Motorhome side and go back to making Commercial Bus and school bus! Some of the members wanted to carry on with the chapter, I would be surprised if Ernie is no longer a member. Back in the day, every member of FMCA was proud of the coach they owned...so Chapters was formed on coach manufacturers...it still goes on today, one of the biggest Chapters today is Entegra. Some Chapters are regional, like Crusin Cajuns of La. it's based on their heritage, culture, food & music! We are members of CC. whiteeagle is correct...I was typing! 😁
  14. Not much in Lake Wales, between E & W Coast. Lot's of retired military have their homes & RV's there!
  15. Bill, letting out half or more air in tires, only work if you have bead locks! I've been up 75 and had no problems in my AC Tradition after I got new shocks! I have the same harsh ride on the King Aire, new shocks are on the wish list, but backordered...like everything else! Same with my Fox 2.0 shocks for Jeep & hard top! 4-6 weeks! 🤬
  16. Since your coach started with out problem, I would be looking for mice droppings! 😁
  17. Welcome to th Forum! Are you a Commercial member of FMCA or is it a carry over # from something else? Nice looking SC!
  18. Once upon a time, a small group of Family's, with the same interests got together and formed, Family Motor Coach Association! Family=Mother, Father and kids! Motor Coach=Bus conversion! As time went by, FMCA grew exponentially bigger and bigger and went from Coast to Coast as more and more Motor Homes was being built by WB, Fleetwood, etc. To manage this influx FMCA came up with Areas and Chapters in each area! One of the oldest Chapters was/is Yankee Travelers, followed by The Bus Nuts...self explanatory what their name stood for! Like any organization, you need a President, VP, Secretary, Treasurer and Board of Directors and as the Club grew and most members belonged to one or more Chapters, we needed one voice to deliver to National, what the majority of the members of the Chapters wanted. Today they are National Directors. Somewhere along the line, FMCA Leaders have forgotten what Family and Motor Coach stand for! My take on this, our leaders in the past 10 years only care for the bottom line! Their Legacy! Richard, you and all others, who are not with a Chapter, have a voice! Send a letter to National, if they get enough of them, they got to do something! Sadly, when National send out to all members, they get back less than 6%...🤬
  19. RayIN. Yes, I run a lower tire pressure when I'm off roading in the desert and mountains. My Jeep tires hold 40 psi max cold, I run in the 12 psi to 20 psi depending on terrain! When I get to pavement, I air up to 35 hot.
  20. Ross, Tireman has on numerous posts! Since the invention of TPS and coaches running Radial Steel Belted tires, we know what caused all the blow outs on older models. In Texas, during summer, you do not want to run at max cold. My chart say's 115 psi front cold and 100 on rear drive and tag, cold. I use a 7% +/- during winter and no +, only - in Summer!
  21. Home built, looks like a late 50's pick up & a lot of rust. 😂
  22. Even a residential will open on rough roads, we have a French door and it came open Sunday, on I-10 in La, on way home! 🤬
  23. Mike, welcome to the Forum! Back in 2007 I got a 80 gallon diesel tank installed in my truck bed, with direct feed and used my main tank as my reserve...simple, but not cheap, I had an extra fuel gauge installed in cab and a rocker switch. I called 3 after market stores, before I found one that had experience with that set up! 2007 Silverado 4 x 4, Duramax 2500! They also put a Ranch guard bumper on so I could tow it. Get a locking gas cap!
  24. Don, sorry, but I have not had a Norcold since 1992! On all my coaches from 1967 to 1992, it was 3 way Dometic! RayIN has more experience than I on your system!
