  1. Gray backs are good eating! Bake in oven 325 for 30 min. or grill, some Cajuns I know do a stew!
  2. A dealer ordered the gauge, 8 years and 2 coaches ago, don't remember name...it was not cheap! Freightliner is plastic, or was!
  3. FIVE. I don't see the GY mentioned in this post anywhere!? Carl
  4. jcbett. Unless your planning on hauling a 2 or 3 wheel bike plus a toad, I would just use the center receiver for your toad! Carl
  5. Casuall454. Good looking Jeep! Anybody who has a happy dog, is on my "good" list ! Maybe wrong, but your Entegra has a 20K hitch! Bill. I have had Staker trailers before, hauled "cigarette boats" ! Hit me over the head with a 2x4, why do you need certification? To me, your "weakest link" is the long tail. I would think that the chassis manufacturer would have compensated for that and the weight off the engine, so if you can pull 5K then you should have no problem with 7K....look at what goes down the Interstate, being pulled by Class C and A's....scary! If your trying to get re certified on your coach GVWR, good luck! You'll have a better chance repealing Obama Care! Carl
  6. tombrendafalls. What kind of coach are you referring to, that needs new oil every 6 months? In my 40+ years off Class A ownership, gas & diesel, I have never heard of that one! Carl
  7. Ray, Hana. God Bless! I'm going to miss your advise and adventures! Shame, you just got the cat trained....I don't suppose you can keep the DP as a guest house and see how Hana does over the next 6 mos. or so? Good time to sell is early Spring. Carl
  8. Hi Gary. You're right. Learn something new each day! Don't ever win a 6 pack from a guy who uses a pigeon for delivery! Carl
  9. That took care of towing! Now, on to original question by OP, brakes....? Carl
  10. If Tour is the same now as in 07', you'll find the GVWR info on back wall in closet, driver side! Also, what rating tires are you running now? Carl
  11. Bill. Drive shaft needs to be lubed twice a year minimum! I check mine after every trip! I don't think you can over lube, just wipe off the excess so it won't sling all over! Carl
  12. OK. The screws where all tight and after 4 hours off all the "bungs" are in place with a little Elmer's. Thank you Brett. Also, thanks to all! Now, I can carry on with all the cabinets in kitchen that are sticking...I know how to do that, been there! Carl
  13. Good grief, I'll die of thirst first... Last seen your pigeon was on a suicide mission to the "Cibolo Guest Ranch"! I have black streaks on some off my wheels and South Plaines Cummins will look at it the 24th. I have given them a wish list that will take, per them, 2 days to complete! Normally, I would do some of it myself and I would also stay with the coach, but I will be entertained with recuperating from dental implants! It may be just soft cheese and wine, no crackers in Perry! I doubt the pigeon will catch up to me... Carl
  14. Bill. In your sig you mention a Featherlite and toys. Do you tow it behind DP or the 03' Super Duty? Are you trying to tow the trailer and toys by DP? I see what you got, but I don't really know why you posted the "pull" question! Also the brake question! What is the length of your DP and do you have a tag? Carl
  15. If you can get what you need for $881 per year....go for it. On mine, that only covers Liability! Carl
  16. The hitch is normally used for a MC lift and toad. It's used to increase your tounge weight, since it will carry a 900+ bike and lift. I'll guess on class 4. Check on Hydra Lift. Carl

    Banks Power Pack

Some good, mostly bad memory's of the Doge chassis, 440 and non radial tires! My headers kept warping....73' Landau & 81' Apollo. Yuk!
  18. Hope he takes the bet, I would like some also! Carl
  19. Bbpeyton. Had the same problem on a 07' Tour-- the leak came from a cracked fitting behind gauge, it's plastic! I replaced the whole unit with an after market gauge with ss fitting! chanke. As Brett said, we need a tad more info. Carl

    Banks Power Pack

Since we all have a DP, perhaps it is difficult to think GAS.... I have thought about and still thinking off adding a Banks to my Jeep! I did add a Banks System to my 97' Allegro. Results where impressive in every category, except fuel...$2,100 installed and a .02 mpg increase does not equate. Since all of Gales testing is done at Salton Sea, maybe that makes a difference, I don't know! There are a lot off older gas and diesel coaches out there that runs Bank System, I guess if it was bad for a 18 year old coach, we would have heard about disclaimers a long time ago! Don't remember when the first system came out to the consumer, but per his father in law, he was working on it in 82'! Father in law was my dads best friend in Santa Monica, CA. Carl
  21. I looked up his floor plan, he's got a 60" x 80" queen with memory foam now. Kay's should fit and "articulation" is the wrong terminology. Head/feet move. Carl
  22. A little taste of the dreaded "change of life" ? Joe, your timing in giving DW a weapon, is not good! Let us know how it feels after you get up off the floor... Carl
  23. Bill. He posted under fuel fumes in coach. Got a 15' Fleetwood Discovery 37R! Been a member since March 2014. Carl
