  1. That's a first for me! I missed most of the 70's, I had coaches, but was only able to use them for 45 days every 367 days away. 1968 to 1980 I worked in Europe and middle east. Back then, if you worked 1 year + a day outside US it was Tax Free...POTUS Carter changed that. 😡 I'm now off the Box!
  2. Would help to know Make, Model & Year of coach!
  3. Tim. I have been on 80 many times during those Months...you might see some snow in the higher elevations, but seldom on Interstate and if you get some flurries in October, it won't stick! We'll be going to Tucson March 20th and have a better chance for snow on 10, than you'll have on 80! Enjoy the ride!
  4. It's been 22 days! Guess he's determined to put rig up and crawl under! Or OP got it fixed..
  5. In a 28' Allegro 1997, the ATS was in the sink cabinet. In the 2010 AC you have to lift the bed to get at it. They hide them in the strangest places!
  6. On our new coach, it shall be interesting to see how long these Michelin's last...I don't feel that they have the quality anymore. 365 steer, 315's rest. 2012 Newmar King Air, ISX 600, Spartan K3 chassis, 12.5 Kw Onan Gen. 200 fuel.
  7. Autonomous is here now...just needs some tweaking. IMHO, 10 years and you'll be hard pressed to find a car, truck or coach that is not wholly or partially autonomous! The Government will step in at some point & outlaw all other vehicles! Herman, where does that put you? Your 7 years older than me! Oh, I know! BC and the stone wheel..😂
  8. Joe, that's no joke! Unreal how fast we have gotten away from the norm, or at least my norm! How many years until the kids will take a picture of a iPhone? iPad or Lap top computer?
  9. My last coach had Michelin's on it for 5 years and I put BFG's on in June 2019 at 2/3 rd's the price, excellent tire! on my new to us coach, it has one year old Michelin and when the time comes, I'll replace them with either BFG or Toyo! Over the years on different coaches, I've had Yokohama, Kelly, Continental,Bridgstone and Cooper, along with the above! 5-7 years I change out. Sidewall will breakdown long before tread, so as long as you have the tire for the weight or more, your good to go...cost of a tire does not indicate better wear or ride and if it's not on FMCA Fleet, it's still good tires!
  10. Knistler. Welcome to the Forum! I leave my inverter on when hooked up to the 50 amp shore power, it charges the start batteries. Your owners manual on your toad, should have instructions on Flat towing. Follow the instructions, do not take short cuts.
  11. Kay, thanks, I should have guessed that. Boogy lights is the way to go. Have Blue/Red/white under my MC trike! Not cheap, but still there and works, 8 years now!
  12. OldRVer. Welcome to the Forum! When did USAA get back to insuring RV's? I had USAA for all my Class A rigs. from 1967 until 2006, then they referred me to Progressive. Said they did not do RV's or Motorcycles any more!
  13. On my American Coach, 2010...the Diamond Shield is bad and needs to be removed by whomever the new owner will be! Our New to us 2012 Newmar King Air, it looks good, like Bill, we'll see! I do know that I will remove it before it looks like the AC and if the paint is still chip free, I'll have several coats of clear put on! IMHO, Diamond Shield is nothing but added cost & Marketing tool...Long before 3M or DS was invented, I never had chip/love bug problems on my front. Just been the last 5 rigs, not the other 12.
  14. Joe, among other parts of your resume. when & where was you a fireman?
  15. Weekends? Yes! It's been discovered by the Rich crowd. Prevost International and Newell. They come for a week at a time and book Sunset Point & the whole Park at Hidden Falls! During most week days your OK. They sell memberships now. 3 weeks ago, they had a pro off road team from Germany there, for a week. I have a local membership and go there sometimes before lunch. Been told that they will put in a RV Resort in the future, but like you have no wish to take a coach in there now! Especially the New coach! 😁 There's a new place now, past Big Chief RV Park on Lake Buchanan, basically the same as HF, but they also have Zip Lines and annual music revues, like Utopia! I'l get the name from Linda and post it.
  16. Joe, I know...have seen most of the 99% ! 😂
  17. Must not have been that important.
  18. rwilli, you have been a member since 2013. Make, model year, of coach would be wonderful.
  19. And I got everything else! 😂 We did get rid of 2 DP's, so now it's one Insurance! 😀
  20. Herman, you sure that was a woman, you where behind?
  21. Welcome! Ambient temp has a lot to do with the conversion of liquid to gas and flow. You said all your equipment worked in morning! Did you turn every thing off or was it off when you came back?
  22. Heidornps. Welcome to the Forum! This is a first for me! Make, model and year would help. I would see if your pad can be replaced. Auto shop tech might be able to help or the manufacturer of your coach. There will be others on Forum that will come on later, might give you a better answer than me!
  23. MattM, has been a member since August 2013!
  24. Mike, you'll need a reservation for Hidden Falls...I suggest you try to snag a spot at Sunset Point RV Resort (your wife will love it, no gravel) and drive Jeep to Hidden Falls! We live 20 miles from there!
  25. MattM. Welcome! When did the first one go out?
