DW isn't laughing, I am . She's an alien geek. She just wants a picture. So from what I'm reading I'll keep the Jeep running while one of the kids jump out and take her photo and off to something else

Bill, went on this route in July 08' stopped at the Big Texan, parked the coach down the street at a Amarillo Ranch RV park. We took their limo back and forth to the Big Texan (at the time we didn't have a Toad). Most likely do the Big Texan again, we had fun with that! Took the kids shopping Cavender's Boot City down the road also, bought them boots and hats , my youngest wore those boots to school until they were worn out. She told me last night that she wants to go back to the boot store. We also stopped at the Cadillac Ranch on the way home. Oasis looks like a nice place to park for a day, maybe two and explore the area.

Might have to try the Canola oil trick. Ours is an electric blade type toilet, it just started to squeak while opening and closing.

Bill, I did. Mine are Bargman lights, all I had to do was remove the lens and bulb, plug the new lens in (LEDS built into the lens) and snap in back on. get the model of the light and do a web search

Glad I found this. We are planning a trip in June to Roswell NM sight seeing along I-40 from TN (headed down I-81 to I-40 from PA) and possibly back on the same route looking for recommendations. I also mentioned to my DW about maybe heading into CO from NM. nothing in concrete yet but any experiences would be appreciated. Also considering an alternative route for the return trip and sightsee along that route back to PA.

Herman, I was wondering how it failed. I did that all the time, I would drive it down the street stop with the wheel off center but you know it's tracking straight, with a helper adjust the drag link until the wheel is straight, (as you twist the steering wheel should respond) the helper can yell out the window when it's centered.

Did anyone try and swap your steer tires left to right for the pull? is the drag link adjustable by itself? Or does the steering wheel center have to be adjusted via the tie rods?

YUP! Pretty funny names around these parts . All a stone throw from home. We go to Strasburg just past the railroad museum for ice cream. Neat old corner store with a soda fountain, its like walking back in time when you cross the threshold. We bought this coach is Strasburg also. pops, keon and I are meeting up in Gettysburg early November, if interested PM one of us for details. Just a no frills weekend of relaxation before I pack up the coach for the season. Probably a weekend of eating too much and doing nothing else, just hope it's warm out. -

Small world, we live 10 minutes from Intercourse PA. Yea that's really the name.... I was in Hershey today for work. Ever stay here? http://twingrove.com/ -
Herman, is it pulling, steering wheel off center, odd tire wear or tracking odd on the road? Not being familiar with Texas requirements, does it get an annual inspection certification?
-
sometimes that works in your favor and sometimes it doesn't!

YUP! For the record you have a tough job that you do very well. Thank you for that!

We stayed this year in a Class a only resort, when I called and gave the coach info I was met with some resistance because of a 10 year rule, I told them before you say NO, may I send you a photo while on the phone, he gave me their email address, I flipped a photo to him, his response was "what dates did you want again"? We stayed there and loved it, nice relaxing and quiet, no normal CG issues whatsoever!! P.s. our coach is a 2002

Newbie Water Tank & Black Tank Flush Question
jleamont replied to Squinko's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Benny, glad to help. no one wants to be the guy shooting black or even gray water across the neighbors campsite. We have been places where the patio mat was against my sewer connection. Not a good way to make friends -
What amazes me is people today, so quick to jump the gun. With technology at our fingers all she had to do was Google "Vantare bus conversion", when I did I got this . She took the path of least effort, what a fool . They must not want trash in their campground Sorry, still laughing at some peoples ignorance!

Welcome!! Also running an older coach for quality reasons/concerns and non-emissions engines.

Charles, I have a DP with one, while our chassis is completely different than yours it didn't do much if anything at all to the way it handled. I did notice less effort to bring the steering wheel to center after a turn. I put it on for an added level of protection in case of tire failure, not to correct a handling problem. The recommendations above are solid from an expert in the field. The hardest part of the installation was getting it centered, took me two times. I am just as guilty with the 4 corner weight, I had it weighed at a truck stop scale to see if we were over loaded on any one axle, but no 4 corner at this time. I will say to much air will make it squirrely on the road, our coach holds true to that. I set our pressures based off of an assumption the coach is loaded evenly, everything heavy is down the center, and it handled better. Its on my list, just not near the top out of inconvenience.

Welcome, I love the photo with the spouse one footed out front . AFisher, welcome! Start your own post with some coach photos.

Carl, I will not move ours once the road's have been treated for the 1st storm and in the spring I wait until after a few good rain storms to wash that junk off of the roads. One year I rescheduled a trip because it had not rained yet. Its just not worth all of the damage that stuff causes.

Newbie Water Tank & Black Tank Flush Question
jleamont replied to Squinko's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
Bill, I broke away from the hose in the link for one trip. I bought a Valterra hose kit (red in color), when my first Rhino was 7 years old and pretty beat up. When I pulled the gate open it jumped up like a snake, flipped out of the hose support and expanded all over the ground in a zig-zag pattern. ONE TRIP AND ONE TRIP ONLY!! Gave that thing away! Bought the new version of the Rhino with the swivel fittings and an additional length with the coupler to join them if the reach is longer. Live and learn I guess.... -
Newbie Water Tank & Black Tank Flush Question
jleamont replied to Squinko's topic in Water and Holding Tanks
One thing to add; those press fit sewer hoses are risky, I have heard of them coming apart when water rushes into the hose, if its black water its going all over the ground . Sewer hoses is one area I don't skimp on, the risks are much too great. Our coach came with that same hose, I gave it to the dealer and told them to give it to someone else. Personally I like the Rhino Flex, I have an extension for it with a coupler that has the same twist lock as the coupler on the coach. It also sits in the hose slinky, when you open a valve it doesn't jump off and onto the ground. https://rvsupplyshop.com/products/rhinoflex-swivel-rv-sewer-kit?variant=23052477891&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIn_uVqs_U1gIVwV6GCh1DZAkZEAQYAiABEgLLXfD_BwE -
Hurricane Heating System Shutting Down
jleamont replied to rsbilledwards's topic in Systems and Appliances
http://forum.rvhydronicheaterrepair.com/forum.php Bill, see the link above. I purchase my parts from Roger, he is a great resource for parts and knowledge. I have no Hurricane heat experience, we have Aqua Hot. I understand they are similar but two different manufactures.
