  1. Herman, the same thing happened to me last year, I opened up the control box wiggled a few wires pressed the in button and it closed. Headed to Busch Gardens today with Keon and his family, last time there....too many cold adult beverages, on a hot day went down real easy. Kay, didn't you have a wire problem before that left you in the road? Time to clean those old wires up. Heading your way just came up last night around the fire with The Hayes family, their coach was at my right shoulder when I took that photo. Herman here's their coach, awning view this morning drinking my coffee.
  2. American Heritage RV park, nice sites (premium site in photo) close to colonial Williamsburg.

    Mattress

I'm guessing you have a standard size house mattress? Ours is 72"x80" which has been the challenge, only available in their RV line up. Last coach was 60x76 I put a 60x80 standard queen in and it fit. I have no room for adjustments in this one since its on a slide.

    Mattress

I was searching for a sleep number on the web, those were the prices for a "Narrow King". Bill where did you purchase yours? I even called the sleep number store we bought the one for the house at, since it was their RV line they couldn't help, very frustrating search this has been. You all would laugh if you saw what my DW did to the bed to make it comfortable, I flipped the mattress over, pillow top down for firmness which I like, she likes to sink in, so she took a mattress topper from a queen and folded it up like a sleeping bag, sat it on top, her side is at least a foot taller than mine . Last camping trip the Hayes family was checking out the coach, Keon took one look at the bed, puzzled look on his face and blurts out "what kind of Wrasling ya'all do in here ? We really need another new mattress!
  6. Mr. Weiner, if I had your van, It would have an extended warranty on the chassis, powertrain and electronics. I am certain you will have more problems with that than you will with the "house" side. Mercedes has proprietary software and unless someone purchased it they will not be able to help you with engine lights and such, therefore the dealer network will be the most likely place for chassis repairs. In 2011 the universal or "OBD" diagnostics were not around yet and there are not many scan tools that will read that chassis with a diesel, gas on the other hand were all standard, oddly the inline engine prior to the V6 was also standardized.
  7. Rich, When I was converting mine one thing that Cummins pointed out was their pump wasn't designed to draw fuel the distance of a DP. Fass makes a direct replacement to the Cummins pump for a 5.9L. If you want grab the parts and head south to PA, I've got room in the driveway with Water and electric. We can go Rambo on that and convert it over. http://store.fassride.com/shop/diesel-fuel-pumps/dodge-replacement.php Not sure if yours is set up like a Dodge, the link is above.
  8. Mark, how were the bridges headed into the Keys? Love the photo!!

    Steering Problem

Don, do you have a Steering stabilizer like the Blue Ox Truecenter? If so disconnect it and see if the problem goes away.

    Tire Blowouts

Jim, he weakened those tires, without a doubt! They will experience a blow out and blame it on the tire manufacturer. I had a guy with a trailer try and race me already in Florida, common sense is lacking with most people. I'm guessing he saw a young guy in a DP and had something to prove.
  11. I heard that FMCA assist only applies to coaches from new to a certain age....is that correct?
  12. Hmm, Obedb, do the plastic ones hold up? Have tin ones now and I can't stand that they will not shine. Since we have the standard 33mm hex this opens my options to spikes and bullets and all kinds of different bling . OP, that is terrible! I guess you have to pull all of that off when you store it?

    Tire Blowouts

Abuse would be number one in my eyes. Most will abuse a tire, some may not even know they are shorting the life of a tire, curbing, overspeed, overweight, under inflated, improperly stored. Defective tires can also a concern but I'd bet most are out of ignorance.
  14. The eggs reference a specific family, a GS sticker has no identification number.
  15. Try here http://www.amequipment.com/ Or https://www.atcomp.com/services-view/recreational-vehicle/ My friend's Tiffin had a wiper problem and the parts were discontinued, he found them at the www.atcomp place above.
  16. I would have paid extra for them in aluminum, mine are 9 years old and look like they are pushing 20
  17. I can assure you, we sell ours and get out of it, they will come off.
  18. This really bothers me so I'm venting. In the last month or two I have come upon FIVE coaches displaying the goose egg and all 5 had no idea what it was, they bought them with the eggs on the coach already. Does FMCA have a policy on this i.e. if you sell the coach you must remove it? On a good note all 5 know about FMCA now .
  19. I missed that part....thanks, now that would make sense!
  20. Beat me to it Jim! I will use that or RainX, they just skid across the glass and off to the side , kind of entertaining. Cleaning off any residue is simple afterwards.
  21. Good point, I'm pretty sure the DW is planning for July 4th, or sometime around then.
