Probably Michelin but I don't have unlimited funds so I go with Toyos.

I have always carried a spare, I won't go anywhere with out one. I my current coach, 98 Fleetwood Discovery, I mounted a spare under the propane tank along side of the engine on the passenger side. It has an electric winch to lift it into position. I have professional tire changing tools so I can mount a tire on the wheel. I use the on board air for powering the impact wrench, airing up tires, etc. I have a 1 inch air impact wrench and use my levelers to jack the coach. I have a Tire Minder transmitter on the spare so I can monitor the pressure.

If you tongue weight is too much an equalizing hitch is what is needed. If sway is a problem then an anti sway system should be used.

I presume your fridge is an rv type so you don't want to use it on electric because of the high amp draw compared to a household type. If you want to dry camp for 1 to 2 weeks at a time I would suggest you do a dry run in your driveway. Run everything you would dry camping, tvs, lights, furness, inverter, anything that draws current from the batteries. after the first 24 hours see where the battery charge is. If you are wanting to rely on solar only don't start the gen. If you need to reduce the amp draw, try unplugging your tvs and dvd player and any other electronics as they draw almost as much current when turned off as when on. If you can't maintain battery voltage and have to use the gen then you will have to increase you solar wattage if you don't want to run the gen.

All of my vehicles, motorhome, 3 Prius, 2 Silverado 1500 have lived there life in the Southwest and have zero rust underneath. Motorhome has traveled coast to coast and border to border at the optimum time of the year weather wise.

I don't think the plastic ones are 3D.

I won't live or drive in weather that requires salt and other chemicals on the road.

They are all trailers. How they hook to the motorized vehicle is either a bumper tow or a bed tow. The term fifth wheel was a term the sales dept dreamed up to make a trailer sound more appealing. Originally the set up was a 4 wheel pickup truck with a hitch in the bed, making it the fifth wheel. Now it doesn't make sense because most trucks are duallys so that would be a seventh wheel.

Sanitizing the Potable Water Tank and System
desertdeals69 replied to wolfe10's topic in Systems and Appliances
What I do is to fill the hose with somewhere between a pint and a quart. Then hook it up to the spigot and run about 15 to 20 gallons of water into an empty tank. Then open each faucet cold water until treated water comes out about 20 seconds, open hot at the farthest faucet for about 2 minutes and then open each other hot faucet for about 10 seconds each. Let it sit for a while and then fill up the tank and you ready to use it. Its 88 cents a quart at Walmart. -
Sanitizing the Potable Water Tank and System

I would never use bleach. I use hydrogen peroxide to treat the water, I got the info from a water quality engineer for a chemical plant. No after taste to contend with. -
There are other ways of towing things. I tow my boat behind my pickup for example. I have seen a receiver mounted on the front of a motorhome and would launch a boat by aiming the trailer down the ramp.

In Az where we live you have to get on and off Route 66, its not a continuous road. Gas and campgrounds are available.

Years ago we did Daytona over the 4th of July race. We were at the fence at the start of turn one. Got the space through NASCAR. Sat on the roof to watch the race.

If it was working perfectly it wouldn't provide enough amps to do any good especially if you have more than one battery.
-
Gas Buddy also gives you a picture of the station as well as directions on how to get there.
-
I have used gas buddy all across the country and usually gives me the lowest prices.

It might be on the back side of the breaker panel. Thats where mine was on a Coachmen Santera.

I would prefer a well known brand such as Xantrex or Magnum and should be a PSW. I tested a Aim and it didn't perform like I thought it should.

Herman, I tried it and it didn't work so I pushed the 2 and 4L and the neutral light came on and was in neutral. Thanks for your assistance. -

Thanks guys, I will give it a try. -
How do you shift into neutral with the push button 2/4 wheel drive which is on the dash? I read the manual and it says for RV towing shift transfer case into neutral and put it in park.
