  1. If you go to a residential fridge make sure it has warranty in a motorhome. I installed one and the compressor locked up in 8 months and they told me there was no warranty because it was installed in an RV.
  2. Is your tech an authorized factory certified working at a dealership for the chassis?
  3. Check with the salvage yards such as Bontraggers in Mi. They have quite an assortment of sofa sleepers brand new at a fairly reasonable price.
  4. I built a 3 valve manifold for the fresh water hose. One goes into the black tank, one into the gray tank, and the final is to flush the hose. I have a dedicated hose for this purpose. When I finish dumping the black tank I close the valve and fill it with fresh water for 3 minutes, I have an electronic timer solenoid valve. Then I dump it again, repeating if it is still not clear. Same procedure for the gray tank. The last thing I do is to flush the sewer hose with fresh water.
  5. I saw him last summer and he was still good with it.
  6. A friend of mine tows a H2 behind a MountainAire and has for at least 10 years.
  7. Solar works without being plugged it. It only needs sun!.
  8. Try NAPA I think to old number for a continuous duty relay is a ST85 but I think it has been superseded. If you look on eBay for an electric golf cart relay you can get one there also.
  9. Looks smoother than some of I5 that I was on last summer.
  10. I have been using Full River AGM for 2 years. The thing I noticed was that the voltage is a little lower when at full charge. The staying power seems ok, just that the voltage is about .2 volt lower through out the range. When I first got them I thought maybe there was something wrong so I took them out and had them sent back to be checked. They said they were ok.
  11. Thanks for the update. Going to a Air Dog system is a total replacement of a few parts such as fuel lines, 1/2 id suction (part of the kit) a return line to the tank and brackets for the pump and filters. Well worth the effort.
  12. The K&N filter is a good idea. If an installation shows a dirt trail down the intake that is probably caused by a faulty installation, not sealed properly. If a filter is faulty by design it would be passing minute amounts of dirt with the air mixture and would not leave dirt trails you could see. The lift pump is easy to replace however when it was new it was marginal as it has only 6-7 psi to the vp44. The weak point of the ISB is vp44 as the expected life span is about 100K miles. My new to me coach had 99,865 miles on it and a failed lift pump so after researching the situation I decided to go with an Air Dog complete fuel delivery system which provides the vp44 with 15 psi of clean airless fuel because it has its own return line. The vp44 I used was built by Thoroughbred for the 275. It has more power than when I first got the coach.
  13. I would check on the availability of parts and service across the country for the Maxxforce engine.
  14. There is nothing wrong with a K&N filter. I did the beta testing for them and they monitored my oil all along the time and it was doing the job correctly. When it went into production I got one of them and when I got my new to me coach I installed one on it. I've got about 20K miles on the two production filters. I put about 13K mile on the beta model.
  15. I used the Air Dog fp150 a4spbd004 kit and a reman vp44 from Thoroughbred in Kentucky.
  16. a 97 engine is a mechanical. He says its a ISB275 which is a 98 or newer 24 valve. I took mine stock lift pump off when I did the mods.
  17. Your 98 Cummins ISB 275 has an electric lift pump which is located on the passenger side of the engine close to the trans. If it fails the engine will still run until the injection pump VP44 fails. I just went through the whole process with my new to me coach. I installed an Air Dog lift pump system and a reman VP44 injection pump. Runs good now, putting on about 4500 miles.
  18. The Tire Minder people (Minder Research) are working on a Pet Minder. I think it will work on your smart phone.
  19. When was the forum meet and greet at Chandler?
  20. While driving with the inverter on my wife made a cup of hot water in the microwave. I noticed that I lost 1/2 mile to the gallon when the micro was on proving that it takes horsepower to turn the alternator.
  21. I have a Demco tow dolly with surge brakes. I installed a air over hydraulic master cylinder. It worked too good lock up the brakes on light brake pedal so I put an inline pressure regulator to reduce the pressure. I will have it at Chandler if you want to see it.
  22. The condition is as important as the age. Eight months ago I bought a 98 Fleetwood Discovery in excellent shape. After doing some personalizing its just what I been looking for. I had my last coach for 17 years and I thought I would retire from motor homing with it until the new one came along.
  23. 303 works for preserving the vinyl stickers. I keeped mine looking good for 19 years until I had a full body paint job.
  24. I think that there is a 303 for tires. I can't remember which one.
  25. Because the heat vents are a ways back in the coach and your up in the front driving and its cold.
