  1. Sams Club uses batteries from Johnson Controls in the west and East Penn back east. East Penn offers AGM golf carts at a reasonable price. Solar panels are great if you go where the sun shines!
  2. For information. I installed a Haier 10 cu ft residential refrigerator. I bought it from Lowes and was told it would work in a motorhome. After 3 months of use the compressor failed. I called the factory and was told that there is no warranty because it was installed in a rv. I had called them when I was installing it to see if I could disable the auto defrost so it wouldn't use so much current. They said no, but they never said that I couldn't use it in an rv. Fortunately they record all calls to the factory because when I told them to look it up they agreed to cover it under warranty. They are going to credit Lowes for a new one and hopefully I will get my money back. I have done some research on other brands and have in writing that they will cover their refrigerators in a motorhome.
  3. If you have Tire Minder transmitters there is a tool to install and remove the transmitter on the outer dual. It is possible to turn the stem around.
  4. With the intake hose off reach in and see if there is any side play on the turbine shaft. Should rotate freely but no end or side play.
  5. We like Voyager in Tucson. They have everything.
  6. What model and brand is your TVs, off air antenna, and sat receiver?
  7. Why don't you call Roadmaster and see if they know anything about it?
  8. As far as I know, the van with all wheel drive cannot be towed on a dolly. I have towed, on a dolly, several front wheel drive Chrysler and Dodge minivans without problems.
  9. Yes you can, but you have to limit your usage to lower than the circuit breaker.
  10. I don't have either. I use 2 camping sleep mats from Walmart and 4 6 ft bungee cords to cover the front of my Silverado. Not one mark in 150k miles including Alaska. Total cost $25.
  11. Check with the Winnebago salvage store down the street from the factory.
  12. How about using your cell phone? We use ours all the time now.
  13. I worked on many of the motorhomes of that era. I believe for a 29 foot coach you have a Dodge M600 chassis and a Dodge 440-3 engine. That was the time the automatic transfer switches started showing up. If you want to replace the manual switch, check with salvage yards. I have seen them from time to time.
  14. Have used them for 16 years and they seem to work ok.
  15. We have used Watchmans campground in Zion which is a federal park. Had electric and was able to put hoses together to get the tank filled.
  16. There is a big rest area east of Amarillo that has wi-fi the last time we were there.
  17. It doesn't make any difference what type of axle it is, the caster still has to be correct. On a stick axle the ride height is critical as it changes the caster if not at the right height. Wedges of different angles are used to get the correct angle.
  18. Also it could be not enough caster. I set more caster in my IFS and now it tracks much better. My toe was correct.
  19. Check the thermostat wiring, see if there isn't some crossed wires.
  20. I use the fresh water from the tank to do the normal flushing, I just use the city water for flushing the black tank.
  21. I never use my fresh water tank to flush the holding tanks, just city water at the dump sites.
  22. Both at my campsite and at the dump station. The water comes from the spigot.
