  1. The location of the booster doesn't seem to be that critical. I have installed them in all of the above mention locations and it works fine. On my current coach it is installed in the battery compartment which is on the drivers side second from the rear. I did use the tie straps.
  2. I think I have the same system in my 98 Discovery. Does the control look like a mirror image, left half to right half? What happens if you switch the control to another position?
  3. The only way to tell is to go out and do what you want to do and see how long it last. Then you can modify your usage and charge routine as needed.
  4. I have been using Fullriver 6 volt AGM's for 2 years and they seem to work fine. The one thing I notice is that the voltage is a little lower than my previous flooded batteries but the staying power is good.
  5. Usually the inverter/charger is only connected to the house batteries. You could use an isolator and hook up the solar charge controller so it would charge both sets of batteries.
  6. We are inside a heated shop until it the weather clears up.
  7. We are in the Elkhart area now picking up our new to us coach which we just had painted. Watching the weather with the ice storm coming I think we will leave Monday, going south to I70 at Indy then down I44 to I40 and on to Arizona.
  8. I just replaced a 24 inch crt with a Vizio 43 inch 4K M series. I also installed a 38 inch sound bar with 3 inputs including blue tooth. I hinged it from the top of the existing cabinet and used gas struts to hold it up as well as down. I also installed a 40 inch Samsung, that is only 1.2 inches thick, in the bed room which had a 19 inch crt.
  9. I parked a guy at a rally that had a full monitoring system in his coach. Through his smart phone he could see inside and outside and monitor temp, start gen, turn air or heat on, lock doors, etc.
  10. Make sure that there is no air leak on the suction side.
  11. On my new to me coach I used the area under the propane tank to hang the spare. Didn't use any storage compartment space.
  12. You can unbolt the linkage and tie it up. Did you check the fuse? If the motor is ok you can disconnect the motor wires and jump it.
  13. The usual cause of burnt wires is a loose connections. All the different brands will have the same results with loose wires. All the terminals should be checked annually.

    SEIKI TV'S

I think I would just replace the tv's. Walmart had a 32 in for $125 I saw yesterday.
  15. I have used on board air to power my 3/4 inch impact wrench to change a spare which I carry. I have been doing this for the last 17 years on my current coach and am currently changing to a new to me coach that is in the paint shop as we speak. I use the leveling jacks to lift the coach to change tires and do carry the proper tools to change a tire on the wheel.
  16. Legacy make air hoses that remain very flexible in freezing weather.
  17. I have Tire Minder blue tooth and I leave it on all the time. If I leave the coach or toad my phone will disconnect the blue tooth. I always have the current status.
  18. I will be at the Chandler FMCA convention in March so if you are coming out I would be happy to show you.
  19. Check with Air Dog to see if they have a transfer pump that will work. I got a complete transfer pump and dual filter assembly for my Cummins ISB 275 for $550 and they had the pump only for $250.
  20. Some bring the slide in when its windy whether they are there or not.
  21. I have used the engine air compressor for airing tires and not had a problem. If you are just adjusting the pressure you are only going a few pounds. I have powered my 3/4 inch air wrench and changed a tire on the wheel and aired up a 22.5 tire with mine, on the side of the road. The compressor doesn't take long to build up pressure. Its also nice clean dry air.
  22. I had good results using 303 on vinyl graphics. Mine lasted 20 years until I finally had a full body paint job.
  23. Back in the 70's when towing VW bugs was popular, they had the same problem with the steering. The fix was to attach a bungee cord to the steering wheel. I never personally had one as I towed Toyota wagons and never had any steering problems.
