  1. I have been using that kind of set up for 40 years. It will not work if the 15/20 amp circuit has gfi.
  2. Years ago I had a pinched steel brake line smashed between the frame and cross member done at the factory. It was on drum brakes but the brakes would come on but slowly retract. I only found it after the coach was 3 years old. Replace the tubing and it worked perfect.
  3. We did Alaska in 2001. Cruised the inside passage first out of Vancouver then went north in the motorhome. Ran the full length of the Alcan highway Went to Fairbanks down to Homer, up through Chicken and out. Saw most of the sites in between. Spent 6 weeks, could have been a bit longer but had to get my daughter married in Portland Or in Aug.
  4. If the law requires lights further back than on the tow dolly you can splice into your existing wire harness with diodes and use the original lights. Another way if the light housing are large enough would be to install additional bulbs and wire it independently.
  5. They should run on either heat source because the cool is accomplished the same way, only the heat is produced differently.
  6. If you have a toad it should have brakes.
  7. I have used Toyo's with good success. The ride may be a little harsher because the sidewall are a little stiffer.
  8. When I installed an ISB 275 complete with new harness I had the option if I wanted the brake lights to come on when the exhaust brake came on or not. This is the first time I've had an exhaust brake so I wasn't familiar how it worked. I presume that is an option at some point in time so I would imagine there a motorhomes that the brake lights come with the exhaust brake. In a sense when the exhaust brake is engaged that is some part of slowing down so therefore the brake lights should be on same as a light brake pedal. How is the brake applied if the vehicle becomes disconnected with the M&G?
  9. We have done it a number of times, last summer being the most recent. We live in Lk Havasu and cruised out of Boston last summer. What would you like to know?
  10. Removing the rags to me makes sense.
  11. Have you checked with Dal Tile themselves, they may have some in a warehouse somewhere.
  12. I would erect sort of a sunscreen cover to protect it in the future.
  13. Is the winterizing valve all the way open? Have you flushed the hot water tank? Check the pipes for corrosion and blockage.
  14. It might depend on the rear end ratio. Mine is into 6th gear at 54 mph. I usually use economy mode.
  15. Sounds like a good system. The only thing I would have done different would the to use a mppt charge controller because they are reported to be 98% efficient vs 60% or so for the other. Where that will come into play is on partly sunny days. I installed a 600 watt system, Renology panels and their mppt controller and the remote panel. Total cost was less than $1000. I have 6 AGM golf cart batteries and a Xantrex 3000 watt inverter/charger and a residential refrigerator. As long as the sun is shinning I'm good to go!
  16. Thanks I'll look into that.
  17. What year is your coach?
  18. I wish they made it for Apple.
  19. I had my passenger side windshield crack when the air was empty and the front was on the stops and I raised the back on one side to change a tire. I now raise the front when I tilt the back. Maybe the clearance between the fiberglass and the windshield should be increased so it won't bind.
  20. If you use hydrogen peroxide it will do the job without any after taste. Pour 8 oz into the fill hose and then fill the tank with about 10 gallons of water. Run each faucet until the treated water comes through. When you are ready to use the system just fill the water tank full and use it. No chlorine taste.
  21. My experience with gas chassis is with Dodge in the mid 70's to the mid 80's and Chevy in the 80's and Ford class C in the 90's. I have had about 8 different chassis and when I first got them they all had handling problems. I tried all available mods and they all improved the handling but it was when I moved to a diesel pusher that I realized what I had been missing. I just got my second diesel pusher 2 weeks ago. I'm a happy camper.
