I have two heavy duty water hose hangers mounted to the wall of the compartment and I coil the wire one loop at a time. One holds 75 ft of 20 amp cable and 30 ft of 30 amp cable and the other holds 27 ft 50 amp and a 25 ft 50 amp extension cable.

When I needed additional heat in the front I use a quartz 1500 watt heater running off the inverter.
-
You will need an inverter which should be a pure sine wave type. They come in different watt ratings, 200-400 watt should work well. The inverter will be wired direct to the batteries.

I tow both a Prius on a dolly and a Silverado 1/2 ton. My mileage is about the same for either, 10-11 mpg with a 32 ft diesel pusher.

One style is that the 3 units are molded into one piece so you have to have the correct one. The other has tubing between them so you can vary the distance.
-
For the most part they are 6 volt golf cart batteries and the only thing you have to be concerned with is the spacing between cells. Some watering kits have tubing between the cells so they can accommodate different dimensions.

Travel To Grand Canyon from Ohio
desertdeals69 replied to BobandBobbie's topic in General Discussion
You won't need the toad in the grand canyon because only shuttles were allowed the last time I was there. -
We have MASA and have never heard anything bad about them. They pick up 100% of the cost from almost anywhere in the world.

Smaller stations have smaller storage tanks so the amount of condensation is less. My solution is that I have a 95 gallon diesel tank in the back of my Silverado toad and I can go to a station with lower prices and fill up and then drive back to the coach and transfer the fuel in to the main tank which I have increased to 129 gallon capacity. Because I get between 10 and 11 mpg and have 220 gallons I can get to the cheapest stations in the country without refueling along the way!

As far as the rubber roof goes I replaced mine just before the paint job and it was 19 years old. With careful treatment it still was in great shape with very little chalking. They say the lifespan is 10 years. Its a relatively non technical job to replace, mostly labor intensive.

I have modified a 93 diesel pusher extensively. Some of the major changes include engine, transmission, air suspension. air brakes, independent front suspension, larger rear axle, 22.5 Alcoa wheels, double fuel capacity, bamboo flooring, hd tv's and cabinet changes, full body paint job. I don't know how much its worth but I built it to suit my desires.

I think the quality of Xantrex has gone down hill since it was sold. It seems that there are a lot more problems with the units and tech help is harder to come by. We were a dealer for many years but not anymore as support is not there.

You still have to keep you eyes open wide because the RV GPS is not 100 % as far as roads and low bridges!

We have a Silverado toad which we carry our bikes on the back in a rack. The rack tilts backward so we can lower the tailgate for access to the bed. Its convenient to have the bikes with us on day trips.

Triple Towing with Jeep, Boat
desertdeals69 replied to HenryPatterson's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
I believe it is legal in Az. I think 65 feet overall is the limit. There are a number of 5th wheels with boats behind and I have seen motorhomes towing a truck and a boat and also towing a truck and a car. -
Its a tricky situation. I know of a coach that was going to be repossessed and the owner switch out the transmission computer for one that had only 5 speeds instead of six. Hard to find out what happened. They also switched out the Alcoas for steel wheels and junk tires.

Pickle ball is quite popular at the Thousand Trails campgrounds. My wife and I have played it and will do so again.

Towing A Nissan Frontier
desertdeals69 replied to geraldlanc's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
I think that is a liability issue not that it won't be able to go over 65mph. I would use synthetic gear oil in the trans and rear end. My Silverado had synthetic from the factory and I have towed it over 100k miles. -
My side cameras are just behind the front bumper and my side marker and turn light is half way back and doesn't effect the camera.
-
You might string a new 10 gauge wire from the front to the back.
-
My mid center side marker light blinks with the turn signal and my coach is a 93 model. I changed to leds several years ago.

I have used 3m kit for 4 prius headlights. They are fairly large.

We have been to parks when somebody with musical talent has performed. I don't know if any money was paid or not. My friend is a yoga instructor and she held classes at a campground in Az in exchange for campground fees.

Check polarity, leds won't work if wired backwards.
