  1. That is correct. Support the base and turn the wrench. I've done some really tight ones.
  2. My friend used to haul boats and trailers built in this country to Canada and they will not let you in their country without brakes on all axles. He has had to go back to Indiana to the trailer mfg to have brakes added to the second axle. He did that only once, the next time he wouldn't leave the plant until it had the correct brakes.
  3. In Canada brakes are required on all axles touching the road.
  4. Back in the 70's we use to stay at K marts now its mostly Walmarts and Sam's Clubs. Never have had a problem, most have been along the Interstate.
  5. The revs/mile is set in the engine computer by a person with a laptop and the right program. Cummins or Freightliner dealer will have the necessary skill and equipment.
  6. We belong to Thousand Trails. Can stay 3 weeks in most parks then move directly to another one. No nightly charges just the annual fee, ours is $580/yr. It cost us about $4000 for the plan but we stay in the system for over 100 nights a year. There is no limit and if we wanted to we could stay every night for the whole year.
  7. We used to install that pump in our shop but after some failures and unhappy customers we stopped recommending them. I believe that you should select a toad that doesn't need all that extra equipment to be able to tow.
  8. Also in Canada all axles that touch the ground require brakes regardless of weight.
  9. Just because its lightweight doesn't mean it shouldn't have brakes. If the car becomes separated from the motorhome the car brakes should stop it and hopefully before it hits something which will also stop it.
  10. We went with one other couple and had a very good experience. We could travel at our own pace and spend as much time as we wanted seeing or doing what we wanted. If I do it again I would do it the same way.
  11. They require a ballast. Some are dual beam with an electromagnet that shifts the bulb back and forth, others are single beam.
  12. We did the Oregon and Washington coast this past summer. Stayed at Thousand Trails campgrounds for 2 - 3 weeks each and they are about 100 miles or less apart. Many things to see and do.
  13. What bulb number did you try? You might try HID conversion, they are very bright. I have been using them on all of my vehicles for a number of years.
  14. I use Thousand Trails in Las Vegas on Boulder highway. My annual dues is $585 and I spend over 100 nights a year in the system in many states so that averages about $5 a night.
  15. All holding tanks have a vent. Run a snake down from the roof to the holding tank, there maybe some bends that make it more difficult.
  16. Is it possible that the gauge on the regulator is reading high and the actual pressure is lower and the water pump is in the 40-50 lb range.
  17. Check with a shop that does plastic welding. Look under plastic in the yellow pages. There used to be a plastic store in Las Vegas that even made rv holding tanks from sheet plastic and welded it together. They are no longer in business but there should be others some where in the country.
  18. Have the front end aligned and see if that makes a difference. It could be not enough toe-in.
  19. I have done that trip a number of times and it is slow, so if you have the time enjoy the nice views.
  20. I think Alaska, spent a month driving all around the state, absolutely beautiful and lots of wildlife.
  21. In my opinion a built in electronic devise is not such a good idea because technology advances so rapidly that it becomes obsolete quickly. I prefer a portable gps. Which brand is a matter of preference. I use Rand 7in RV model, and a couple of Magellan units, one in my toad.
  22. If it is an Intelletec check the voltage on both large terminals, should be the same when on. If it does not click check the fuse on the latching switch top. I think it is a 5 amp fuse.
  23. Should be OK, I've done it in a 32 ft no problem.
  24. Cover it but don't let the cover touch the coach.
