  1. Yes I did the work myself. Was very easy, the hardest part was climbing up the ladders.
  2. In our business we have always hooked up the standard running lights to the coach.
  3. What is the cost of the new roof? I replaced my Dicor rubber roof last year for about $500 in materials, 32ft.
  4. The parking lights should come on when the coach lights are on.
  5. I also tow with a Kar Kaddy and a Prius. I changed the brakes from surge to air over hydraulic so I don't burn up the brakes when going down a mountain.
  6. To hold the cabinet up you can use a bottle jack on the floor with a 2x4 end wise and raise it up and then rescrew it.
  7. A level roof is the same thing. I used a fellows iPad with the app and where I was trying there were trees at the fringe of 99 and 119 so I moved to a different spot and everything worked perfect.
  8. You can get an app for your smart phone and it will locate all of the satellites and use the camera to see if it is clear line of sight. Did you have the pole perfectly straight up and down? If you did you don't need a compass as the elevation will be the same when you swing it around.
  9. Is the gelcoat bubbling or is the roughness on the surface of the gelcoat?
  10. I use hydrogen peroxide. Empty your water tank and then fill the water hose with 1 pint of hydrogen peroxide and then hook to spigot. Fill water tank with about 10 to 15 gallons and then turn on all faucets for 30 seconds, both hot and cold using the water pump. Let it set with the treated water in the system for an hour and then fill your tank and your good to go.
  11. The idea of the buttons on the wheel is so you don't have to take your eyes off the road. Usually they are shaped different so you can feel the difference by touch.
  12. We have used silicone to seal the shower pans for years and if you need to remove it a plastic scraper works just fine,
  13. That's why I use Roadmaster products, their customer service is excellent. I think their tow bars have better quality control because all of the parts are made in house, not imported from overseas.
  14. You might look into solar panels to maintain the batteries.
  15. I use Tire Minders on mine and they work very good. They have replaceable batteries and the company will supply you with the new batteries.
  16. I tow a 99 Silverado and I cover the front with 2 camping sleep mats from Walmart at a cost of about $7 each and secure them to the front end with 6 ft bungee cords. Total investment of $20 and no damage whatsoever. Been through Alaska and most of the other states in 12 years with this system.
  17. If you have amber turn signal on the coach its not the same, also if your toad has amber turn that makes a difference on how its wired.
  18. I leave the charger on and the inverter off when plugged in while in storage. If in use while plugged in, I leave the inverter on because if the shore power is momentarily interrupted the 120v won't be.
  19. If you ask them at a convention they will probably give you a new one. They did that for me.
  20. Years ago I was parked near the Mexican border and when I came out and did my usual walk around I noticed someone had removed the receiver hitch pin on the tow bar.
  21. Usually pickups with a manual transmission are towable. I tow a Silverado 1/2 ton with a 5 speed.
