  1. That sounds like the accident north of Havasu last year. A tragic situation.
  2. The 2 different types of relays look different. The latching relay is taller because the of the swinging rod that holds the contact washer down. The application is different. Usually the latching relay is used as a disconnect for the battery, requiring no current other than to change position. The other type is used to connect the 2 battery banks together requires current to stay closed.
  3. When you use a wrench its a lever action, when you use a socket its a rotating action, it makes a difference.
  4. I'm sorry that they wouldn't talk to you, we are a dealer and were at an RV trade show and I didn't realize that they wouldn't talk to the public. It doesn't sound like to good of a policy.
  5. If you can find the part number it can be verified. The outward appearance is hard to determine as they look identical. The description with the part number should get you the correct one.
  6. You can verify the reading with a infrared temp gauge at the sender. Since it doesn't vary under different conditions its probably ok, but the gauge may be reading a little high.
  7. You need to find live 12 volt power source when ignition is on and park brake is released. Is you DVD player a standalone unit?
  8. Some hubs have a drain plug on the side so you don't have to pump out.
  9. It may take two or three times to purge all the air out. Filling the filter before installing is not a good idea because of contamination according to the Cummins seminar.
  10. There is a bleed valve on the side of the canister, turn the ignition switch on and off and then open the valve. The pump will run for about 30 seconds. Close the valve when it stops priming or when the air is gone.
  11. Michelins will give you a smoother ride because of the sidewall. I made the mistake of trying Toyos and the ride was harsher and I have returned back to Michelins.
  12. Make sure that the solenoid/relay is a continuous duty one.
  13. There is a hex around the outside of square hole that a socket fits. This prevents the cover from cracking.
  14. I would go with Roadmaster, not only a good product but customer service is tops.
  15. DickandLois, on 21 Feb 2013 - 08:59, said: I was going on what the Spartan seminar presenter said. He tried it and it came to a gradual stop. There are springs that apply the park brake. He was driving a bare chassis on a test drive. If you are going slow it may lock up but a higher speed its not supposed to lock up.
  16. Do you have an inverter/charger? If you do just run the furnace and if the batteries get to low the furnace will quit and then run the gen. If you have a inverter/charger just run to charge the batteries.
  17. You may need swaybars added. I did on mine and it made a big difference.
  18. You might check with Walt's rv salvage in Pomona, the last time I was there I think I saw some windows. The best source for complete windows was in Elkhart and they auctioned off all of their salvage stuff and went full retail last summer.
  19. This may work fine for some but I have put so much work in major modifications to my coach, and its very personal, that I would almost rather rent out my toothbrush than my coach!
  20. You want the tow bar level to the ground.
  21. No sales tax in Oregon, I usually plan my large purchases to be done in Oregon, such a tires, tvs. etc.
  22. I would give PowerGear a call. They seem like friendly folks. I talked with them last week at a trade show in San Diego.
  23. If the frame is damaged I would check with Winnebago for a replacement window. They are fairly easy to change as an assembly.
  24. Years ago we had a rack on our toad for a Hobiecat sailboat. I carried the mast on the roof of the motorhome because it was much longer that the boat. We also went to the Florida Keys, out to Key West.
