  1. I use a pint. I pour it into the hose then connect to the faucet and turn on the pressure. With an empty tank I fill about 5 gallons. Run each faucet in the coach for 15 seconds. Let it sit for 1/2 hour. Just go ahead and use the water normally, no need to flush.
  2. With all of the concerns about warranty I think I would use a trailer if you are really wanting to use that vehicle. I would think of a different toad that is more compatible for towing.
  3. Is a convection oven a must have? Last year I replaced my microwave with a Kenmore 1.2 cu ft with a curved back wall. Its only available in one model but it is great for cleaning because there are no corners in the back.
  4. You should probably change the bulb to color temp 3000k so that the color will be amber, thats for best in fog.
  5. Sounds like a drain valve is open. Follow the hose back from where the water is draining to find the valve. On other possiblity is that there is a break in the plumbing.
  6. Check the voltage at the motor, if voltage is present then you motor is bad, if no voltage, then there is a bad wire or connetion.
  7. Either the battery is too big or the shelf is too small. The full battery should be supported and anchored properly.
  8. I tried bleach to get rid of a smell in the rinser spray on the kitchen sink. Several applications and the smell would come back in a day or so. I was told about hydrogen peroxide so I tried it. It's 88 cents a Wal Mart. Works perfect and no smell a year later. This treatment was brought up at a Newmar rally, a friend of mine told me about it. No flushing after it sits for a little while. I talked to a water treatment engineer and he told me that they always use it.
  9. Instead of bleach use hydrogen perioxide. Cheaper and more effective and you can drink it!
  10. There seems to be problems, both major and minor with all makes. That seems to be the nature of RVing. It doesn't make any difference whether you buy new or used or which brand, someone somewhere has had problems.
  11. When I let my air filter go to long it started pumping oil out the spitter valve. I thought my compressor had failed but talking to a truck shop they told me to change the filter and that should solve the problem. I did that and no more oil coming out of the spitter valve.
  12. I don't have room to carry an extra hose and I don't want to use my fresh water hose for that purpose.
  13. When we were in a campground in Key West they encouraged us to dump the grey water on the ground. That was some time ago.
  14. When we need to we just dump the gray into a bucket and water the trees.
  15. I haven't seen it done that way since the 60s-70s. I had a 60s Lifetime that didn't have any place for the gray water to go so I added a grey tank.
  16. With water conservation you should be able to go for several days before needing to dump the grey water.
  17. Regardless of size you need to have deep cycle batteries. Six volt golf cart batteries seem to be the best choice. The type of battery construction depends on your pocket book.
  18. Watchmans National park in Zion has electric and is close enough to the other parks for day trips.
  19. If you lift the rear wheels off the ground your coach will not roll because there are no wheels on the jacks. If you are on a steep hill and you have wimpy jacks and they bend or break when the coach hits the ground it won't roll because the park brake is still on. The most it would move is about 24 inches.
  20. It shouldn't make any difference. Your engine has an electric fuel pump. If there are no leaks in any fuel lines, it won't make a difference if the tank is higher or lower than the engine.
  21. It sounds like a poor design or miss application of the solenoid. I have Intelitec which is a switching relay that only draws current when switching. No heat ever.
  22. There are quite a few Thousand Trails parks in Ca, Or, Wa. I like the ones on the ocean. There are 6 on the Or coast and Wa coast that are our favorites. We will be going there this summer and spend 2 to 3 weeks at each.
  23. I think I would lay a moisture barrier down first, then spread gravel. I would jack up the axles and put blocks under them so the tires are not on the ground. Another alternative would be to move to Az and use you coach year round!!
  24. We just ordered the lifetime membership. Visited the museum 2 years ago and can't wait till we can return. Great place to see history of rving.

    Roof

Use Dicor self leveling caulk. They make a patch kit for that type of repair. Very easy to do.
