If the voltage drops to 8 volts when trying to crank chances are its not the starter. It might be the starter solenoid or the connections at the solenoid. When cranking what is the voltage at the battery terminal? Be sure to check the ground circuit also.

Yes, there seems to be. Also I was towing a 1/2 ton Silverado, V6 5 speed. Unless extreme hills or headwind I have averaged between 10 and 11 mpg for the last 100,000 miles.

I have a 32 foot with an ISB and rear radiator. I extended the slobber tube. I would not trade for a side radiator because of the engine choice. I got 10.78 mpg going between Albuquerque and Las Vegas last October. With the larger engine and coach it would be in the 6.5 to 8 mpg range. Just my own preference.

That would be an ISC 1998 or newer.

What kind of pump and does it work ok without the water heater turned on?
-
Usually the rear radiator is on a smaller engine such as a Cummins ISB and the side readiator is on the larger ISC or bigger.

We prefer to change scenery so we invested in Thousand Trails system. This past year we have spent 109 nights in the system from coast to coast. You could stay in a Thousand Trails park for every night of the year, moving every 21 days.

They do work and we have installed several sets and never had bad feedback. They install on the studs before the wheel on the front and between the duals on the rear. They balance the rotating mass including the brake drum. If it is out of balance too far it won't work, you may have to rotate the wheel 180 degrees.

I would think the compressor is running because there is a temp difference of 10 degrees. If the compressor was not energized the air would be about the same going in as coming out.

Are you going to be able to get your deposit back? Hope so.

4 Wheels Down Or Tow Dolly
desertdeals69 replied to travelenman's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
As far as the transmission is concerned when it is in neutral the gears still rotate and since the lubrication is done by the dip and splash method all the bearing surfaces are lubed. -
To Monitor or Not To Monitor: Tire Pressure Systems

I use Tire Minder TPMS. I have been in the RV business for some 37 years and haven't found a nicer couple to do business with than Chuck and Debbie.- 6 replies

It maybe low on freon. Did you check the voltage while it was running?

All my test were done with a brand new bank of 6 golf cart batteries fully charged. I ran about 4 tests for each inverter. I don't know if the design of the compressor is bad or that particular one was defective. The Frigidaire was the right size to replace a Norcold 841 2 door. Since it wouldn't work I scrapped the changeover project to another day. My Norcold is about 3 years old having replaced the original one that was 18 years old.

4 Wheels Down Or Tow Dolly
desertdeals69 replied to travelenman's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
The same way as towing 4 down. Either with air, diesel pusher or any other brake system for 4 wheel towing. The tow dolly will have its own brakes. -

Every axle on the road must have brakes in Canada. -

Vehicles with manual transmissions seem to have fewer problems when towed 4 wheels down. -

If you go into Canada you will need to have brakes on the rear axle of the vehicle if it is on a dolly as well as the dolly wheels. -
With electrical problems you may be getting into a can of worms. A clue is that they don't want to fix it.

While cranking check the voltage at the battery and also the cable, those voltages should be the same.

Trying To Find Air Bags For 1997 Monaco Dynasty
desertdeals69 replied to fighterpilot's topic in Chassis
Are they for the front? I have a pair of front bags for a 98 Freightliner. They are 9 inches diameter top and 7 inches tall without air and the plastic cone in the bottom. Top has a 7/16 stud and a 1/2 pipe female thread port. -
Battery Charging: Inverter/Charger Not Working
desertdeals69 replied to sundancev's topic in Electrical
I would have the inverter/charger checked out. You might want to upgrade to a pure sine wave inverter/charger. When you turn on the charger the battery voltage should rise. -
I have been using Centramatic balancers for about 12 years with about 3 sets of tires and never had a vibration. I have a computer balancer in my garage but I quit balancing the wheels when I installed the automatic balancers.
