They do handle Michelin 22.5. I just bought mine at Costco Las Vegas. They just don't mount them. I bought professional tools to change the tires myself. Real easy, as a matter of fact I did one yesterday. I used to do them with crow bars but now its much easier.

I bought a wrecked 98 Discovery for the engine, transmission, air suspension, radiator, charged air cooler, transcooler, front and rear axles, and the lp tanks. This was a Freightliner chassis. The 2 lp tank was from the factory. I sold the smaller vapor lp tank on the spot before I left the wrecking yard. It tool me 3 days to get it all apart and load my flatbed trailer. The tank that I mounted is in the center just ahead of the rear axle. It has a remote fill and electric shut off valve. Its about 32 gallon.

Norcold 1200 Refrigerator Failure
desertdeals69 replied to carlpeterson's topic in Systems and Appliances
I'm not sure if it was that particular model, made in China, or if it was a defective unit. I would start the cooling plugged in to the house and when the freezer was down to 30 I switched over to inverter. I used 2 pure sine wave inverters and 1 modified sine wave inverter. It would run for a short period of time and then the compressor would stop and get hot. Replug it into the house and it would continue to cool to below 0 in the freezer. I don't think its so much the brand as is the manufacturer, because I looked at another brand and it had the same compressor and the rest of it looked the same. Since it was special ordered I could not ask them to order another one just for me to test! -
As far as Michelin tire pricing I just bought mine at Costco. The price was very close although they had to order them, it took 2 days.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. The rally you went to sounds like a local small get together. You should try one of the international rallys. There are hundreds of new coaches and hundreds of vendors, evening entertainment, etc.

If you have 3 cameras does the picture go bad on all of them? On mine I had a poor connection on the monitor 12 volt, fix that and everythings ok.

It depends on how many batteries you are trying to charge. If its more than a couple you will need more than 150 watt system.

Norcold 1200 Refrigerator Failure
desertdeals69 replied to carlpeterson's topic in Systems and Appliances
Before you install a residential refrigerator try to run it on the inverter. I just tested a 10 cu ft Frigidaire and it would only run on an inverter for a short period of time and then the compressor would shut down. I tried it on a Xantrex Prosine 2000, Xantrex RS2000 and a cheapy 750 watt. I just glad I didn't install it before I found out it wouldn't work. -
I run my Norcold on the inverter while driving all the time.

I have two lp tanks. One for the gen, liquid withdraw, and the other for stove and refrigerator.

All of the TT campgrounds we stayed in since our renewal date last April had plenty of space. We stayed 106 nights from Las Vegas to Sturbridge Ma, about 10 campgrounds. Happy with all of the campgrounds and it works for us perfect.

I tow a 99 Silverado 1/2 ton, v6 5 speed for about the last 100,000 miles. Lots of room and I carry 92 gallons of diesel in the tank in the bed. I get between 10 and 11 mpg with a 32 foot, ISB 275.

New FMCA Member Looking For Advice For Towing
desertdeals69 replied to Rprphillips's topic in Toads-Towed Behind Motorhome
I use Roadmaster products because of their service. At any convention or rally that they are at, they go around to all the coaches that have Roadmaster tow equiptment and service them for free. They leave a notice when this is done and alert you if there is anything else that needs to be done. -
Any good hydraulic shop should be able to fix it. I doubt very much that Howard manufactured their own o-rings, I think they probably used common sizes available to any manufacturer.

Its amazing when you get paid by the hour how long you can drag it out.

My ISB 275 and MD3060 came out of a 98 Freightliner Discovery.

2012 Holiday Rambler With Surround Sound Home Theatre DVD?
desertdeals69 replied to greybeard101's topic in Type A motorhomes
Does your DVD unit contain the surround sound processor/amp? If so all of the speakers need to be hooked up to their respective outputs. -
If I remember correctly the 275 Cummins is a ISB computer engine which for the most part was connected to a Allison MD3060. A 190,230,260 was a mechanical engine and connected to the Allison MT 643. I have installed a ISB 275/MD3060 in my 32 foot coach an get between 10 and 11 mpg towing a 1/2 Silverado.

Check to make sure the vent hose is not kinked, mine was and when I fixed it I had no more problems with slow filling.

My cost for materials was less than $700. I bought the Dicor material and their installation kit plus 8 sheets of lujan(1/8 plywood). It just takes time but not much skill. My coach is 32 foot.
