  1. IMO it is at present impractical. This website and the charts make it plain re-charging an electric car from a MH can be accomplished, at a very slow rate, at least 2 days.https://evobsession.com/electric-car-charging-101-types-of-charging-apps-more/
  2. I agree Carl. I'm just trying to find out the facts, as I'd never seen that thread until yesterday. I failed to notice the begin date of that thread, perhaps that is what derailed my thoughts.(or being old)

    GFCI Issue

    Kaypsmith, That was someone else.
  4. Nope, I'll not muddy the waters by contacting them. The committee is tasked with dealing with Seven Corners, they don't need "help" from individuals.

    GFCI Issue

My Norcold 1200LRIM automatically switches to 120VAC when I start the genset, then back to LP when I stop the genset.
  6. I'll cut to the chase; are we going to lose FMCA Assist or did the last minor dues increase cover that 73% increase from Seven Corners? That irv2.com thread made it sound to me like we are losing the Assist program. All other such medical assist programs cost well over $179/yr, so we have a great deal today! P.S. Mr. Walkers letter is in that hot link within the thread.
  7. This thread on irv2.com is causing concern, however I'm ignorant of the background and potential consequences. I never knew of the attached letter within that thread that is the main cause of concern.

    GFCI Issue

X2, I had that headache the first year we owned our MH, the GFCI that was tripping is in behind a "garage door" in a corner of the kitchen countertop, behind the sink. The problem turned out to be non-use of that outside receptacle, once I began using it the GFCI never tripped again. I now plug in my power tools there while working in the garage just to keep the contacts clean.
  9. That's how mine is mounted to the top port-side of the rear cap, didn't put one on the top front port-side of the MH, there's too much on the front already. I don't know how long the tape will stick, it's only been on there since I joined in 2015-I think.
  10. The program has been discontinued. Existing participants are allowed to continue, however no new accounts are accepted. For details go to: www.MilitaryCampgrounds.us or the USAF website.
  11. Carl, this is off-topic, however one Dawson City attraction that was not to be missed has a sad story today. The inventor of the "Sourtoe cocktail" has died. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/north/captain-****-stevenson-sourtoe-obituary-1.5359630
  12. I don't know; and I carry a small suitcase electric power( can't in all conscience call it pressure) washer in the basement on every winter trip. Even took it along on our Alaska trip.
  13. X3! However if he is still in freezing weather, I suppose(doubtful but possible) the check-valve at city water connection can be blocked with ice.
  14. I removed the exterior wall vent to clean the dryer vent hose, there was about 2' of extra hose between dryer and vent. This made it easy to clean the hose and reattach everything. BTW, cleaning brush is from WalMart. After using the brush and before reinstalling the wall vent,I turned on the dryer, outside. the ground looked like it snowed.
  15. This FMCA pdf explains how to call for Saferide ERS help: https://www.fmca.com/pdfs/roadside/roadside_checklist.pdf , however, it is quite confusing to me. Mr. Ball told me on Nov. 4 he was going to call his contact at Saferide and get back to me ASAP. I'll let you know the results after he gets time to answer my concerns about that document. I realize this is not his only focus, he's a busy man.
  16. Yep, that's why I said BOD=board of directors, they are the ultimate ruling body for any incorporated company.
  17. Brett, Thanks for emphasizing not using cables while driving, I just said "while on shore power" which can easily be overlooked.
  18. Hopefully the Affinity Group BOD will turn CW around. I suspect the Gander Mountain purchase was the defining factor in the upsidedown debt ratio.
  19. I second Herman's sentiments! My Mom has traced military service by our family males serving during every conflict from the revolutionary war to the middle-East conflict. I thank every veteran and the family who supported them!

    Tires

Virtually any HDT repair shop can work on the chassis portion of a MH. If they will or not is another matter, you must talk to them. I had my engine worked on at a local HDT repair shop, also a total alignment, they did excellent work.
  21. Until you can get it properly repaired, use a set of jumper cables between battery banks when on shore power to charge both banks at the same time.
  22. You mention 15-20 yrs old. Keep in mind all the electronics and video components are now obsolete if they are OEM installations. I speak from personal experience.
  23. If value and cost are important, check out Sailun truck tires. I had 6 275R70/22.5, LR H, put on our MH, final price I paid was $1,280. IMO they ride every bit as good and the Goodyear' that they replaced, and are all steel ply construction They were 4 months old when purchased, my tire shop followed my request. Sailun truck tires are made in Vietnam since 2017(purchase date was July 2018). P.S. I noticed Sailun truck tire prices have risen a bit since I bought.
  24. Our MH is OLD, the slide imprint in the carpeting is very obvious after long periods with slide retracted. My solution is to use DW's Hoover upright sweeper, it raises the carpet fibers as it cleans. When I'm finished with several passes, the imprint is barely visible.
