  1. No. I replaced ours after 10 years with original frim FREIGHTLINER. Even found them on sale. You do need to return old batteries to them to get back core charge.
  2. I have towed a 2016, 2019 and 2022 Equinoxs all with automatic transmission. Just be sure to add a charge line to keep battery charged while towing.
  3. Went that route one year and had seven inches of snow in El Paso. You just need to keep weather apps on your phone and check for conditions ahead. You may have to layover a day somewhere along the route. Just stay safe.
  4. I have had two sets of Goodyear tires, but they were on motor homes. Both sets started cupping on the outside edge at 40,000 mikes. I have switch to Bridgestone, Michelin and Firestone without any problems. I think Continentals would be a good solution.
  5. Don’t have enough information about the make and model of your water heater, but check to see if 120 volts between the terminals on the heating element. If the voltage is there, then the element is bad and needs to be replaced.
  6. I have not experienced any problems with three different generators: gasoline, LP and diesel. But I use the extension infrequently.
  7. There have been documented cases where the RVers forgot to close their vent which allowed CO to enter RV from the tall stacks. If you would like to try an extension to direct the exhaust to the ground and away from RV, go to any muffler shop. They can make an extension to fit your generator exhaust pipe. I had one made in two 6 foot pieces, so I could place in storage bin on generator side. One slipped over the exhaust pipe and the second slipped over the end of first pipe. Only about 6 inches of the ends are slip fit. Make sure they don’t make the fit too tight or you may not get them apart. I used two bricks to lift the end, so anything on ground would not catch fire.
  8. Your ac should not be drawing in air from the outside, but maybe some do. The vents can bring in outside air. I have boondocked at 90°. I lower the temp for about an hour before bedtime, then turn off. It does get warmer during the night, but not uncomfortable. May not work for every RV depending on insulation and double pane windows.
  9. If you are a member, the information is in issues of Family RVing. If not, call FMCA and ask for the Convention department. Possibly they can email you a list because the information has been prepared to be printed in the book given to attendees. Suggest you not go on Wednesday the 24th. The displays are only open 1/2 day. Thursday is very crowded. I found that Friday and Saturday are the easiest days to be able to see all.
  10. I agree. Suggest you close this thread, and start a new one. Close it in at most 4 months and start over. A person that is new doesn’t want to go through 75 pages. They might look through 3 or 4 months of posts.
  11. PS: If anyone wants to see our listing, go to RVWHEELATOR.com. Select you want to Buy. Scroll down to our listing. There are 38 pictures.
  12. Wish downsize would work for us. My wife is using a walker full time. Getting in and out of motor home is very hard for her. Getting hard for me, too. So many trips in and out to load the items for trip was hard on my leg and knees. It is right time for us to sell.
  13. I have checked consignment sites near us. They will not take any motor home older than 10 years. I have listed with RV WHEELATOR. 5% commission. Their site is linked to more than 100 other sites. They are an FMCA commercial member. Is this a good decision? Only time will tell.
  14. Outdoor carpet adhesive works very well. If you think about it, the carpet adhesive stays flexible below freezing and above 100. Ours has been installed for about 8-10 years without any problems.
  15. Enjoy the Blue Gate and das Essenhaus restaurants.
  16. We have never regretted replacing ours with a residual refrigerator.
  17. You can log into FNCA.com and print your card. Go to FMCA.com menu login go profile print card print
  18. It looks like you have two 12 volt batteries in parallel, but even if they were 6 volt in series, I would replace both. A old battery will probably cause problems with the new one as time goes on. If it were me, I would use two 6 volt AGM wired in series to get more capacity if your battery compartment will allow additional height.
  19. Yes, I hit a ice covered tree limb that cracked the seal of the shower skylight. Used the tape to reseal the skylight to the roof two years ago. So far no problems. Previous motor home roof membrane was torn by a cutoff tree limb in a campsite. Left several about 3”x4” triangular holes. Covered with 6”x6” squares of tape. After 5 years we sold it, but never a problem. Caution, clean the surface with alcohol or lacquer thinner. As you apply tape be very careful. When it touches the surface, you will not be able to remove to adjust. It sticks immediately.
  20. I know you are not looking at Indiana, but there are two excellent shops at Bremen, Indiana. One is Precision and I think the other is Mike’s. If nothing else you could contact them for a ball park figure to see if other places you try are realistic.
  21. My 2022 Chevrolet Equinox is 4 wheels on the ground towable, but it needs a charge line. If you get one, suggest you use a heavy duty connection just like the one on the rear of your RV on both ends. You can order a heavy duty cable from Amazon that has the 7 pin plug on both ends. The ground is #10, +12 is #12, and the other 5 are #14 wire.
  22. There is a big difference between the engine air intake filter and the desiccate air dryer for the air brakes.
  23. I think you will find it in front of the rear axle. Follow the airlines to find it. I have found that it is difficult to replace, and Fleetwood used two different manufacturers. So remove it before buying a replacement.
  24. If you are wanting to go to Bryce, Zion, & Grand Canyons, I would take northern route, because geologically the floor of Bryce is the same as the rim of Zion and the floor of Zion is the rim of Grand. Along the way you can take a tour of Hoover Dam and would end on north rim of Grand which is usually less crowded. Then you can go around the east end of Grand to go to the south rim. The trading post at the south rim has high quality Native American Indian art work for sale. As you go back east on I-40, I think you will find the petrified forest in Arizona east if Holbrook. You may want go northeast to the four corners area to get to Mesa Verde to see the Anasazi ruins. On to Durango where you can take the Durango-Silverton railway. Make reservations in advance. Try to get in the enclosed railcars, not the open ones. Coal dust will blacken you and your clothes, but all washes. Wolf Creek Pass is a long hard uphill grade. Take your time, on to Purblo and Colorado Springs. Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, US Air force academy and if you like western music, go to Flying W ranch for a western meal and Sons of the pioneers. PS: Rocky Mountain National park is north of I-70 just west of Estes Park. So much to do, hope you have enough time.
