  1. I wonder how they get around the necessary SEC filings for foreign owned corporations. 96% of the shares are owned by institutions. Vanguard Group being the largest holder at 10%. Are you saying the Chinese Consortium owns 51% of all the institutional holdings? There is a Whirlpool China which is a separate entity. Scary a foreign government can own controlling interest in an American Corp. I would think anybody owning the majority of stock would want to have representation on the board or even have control of the board.

  3. They replaced mine with the newest model and its been awesome. I never had the problem with it starting but I did have the issue of it not draining properly. My issue was the shaft that attaches to the pulley which in turn is attached to the motor was bent. The tub wobbled so badly it eventually wore a groove thru the rubber gasket/seal.
  4. I've always chuckled a little when the "experts" say floor it. Like Five said, the acceleration is not going to throw you against the seat back.
  5. You guys know how I feel about my Newmar and the exemplary customer service I've received. Heck...they shipped me a new upgraded clothes washer at no charge because of issues I was having with the old one. Yep, I was out of warranty.
  6. Did you mean 2019? Directtv has announced it will stop SD broadcasting in 2019 and this will be a problem for those users with a dome antenna that only receives SD.
  7. Richard, give it a break. The OP is asking about routing for a specific trip not how the Garmin works.
  8. Oh boy....you guys are getting off topic. The topic is how do I get a discount at Flying J?
  9. After checking with my Garmin user friends, we came to the decision you have a hybrid Garmin. Not one of us has ever had the Garmin try to reroute us because of traffic and we all agree its not an option we want. I'm glad you have it and enjoy it.
  10. You didn't miss a thing and don't change the topic. The OP wanted to know specifically how to get a discount at Flying J and being a member of Good Sam, getting either a discount card or charge card from Pilot/Flying J is the only way I know.
  11. Sorry....To directly answer the OP's question, the only discounts available to rvers are through Good Sam. I don't know what else can be said about Flying J discounts.
  12. I feel good, just sorry it took us 7 overtimes to win.
  13. I used Robert for years when I lived in the Houston area, is Richard as competent as Robert?
  14. I hope my Garmin RV660LMT doesn't use traffic to set my course and actually I don't believe it does. Richard, you're stating if I enter my destination from X to Y the night before and the highway is closed at some point for construction but will be reopened by morning, the Garmin will possibly route me miles out of my way needlessly. I've had my Garmin notify me of traffic ahead but it never tried to reroute me. I'm a member of a Garmin Basecamp group and that is a subject thats never come up. Many members spend weeks laying out their summer travels months ahead of time on Basecamp so what your saying is what they enter in April may alter their trip in June because of a multi car accident on the interstate the day they make their plans in April for June travel. Hogwash!
  15. Yep...The Hartford. The only downside is you need to be an AARP member to qualify for the discounts.
  16. I have a Truckers Atlas that I use to verify and look for alternate routes. Give that a try.
  17. So I guess with the open flame theory they need to confiscate all my butane lighters I use for fire starting. Who knows, I may want to light a candle while driving through a tunnel. I'm thankful Dianahc was able to have heat inside the coach while traveling and hopefully her back issues are getting better.
  18. A driveshaft coupler may be less expensive than a new transmission.
  19. I had to shut the propane off when traveling the Bolivar/Galveston ferry but I didn't have to on the Aransas Pass/Port Aransas ferry. Both in Texas. Rich, who will turn the CNG off on the self driving tractors that are in the future?
  20. I totally agree. I wish there was a way to disable the side cameras because I've always used the rear view to help when passing. The lag time is very distracting.
  21. Since the highway was decommissioned, Route 66 no longer exists on modern maps. In some places, in fact, the physical road is unpaved and virtually impassable. However, you can still follow some of theoriginal road in your car. In many states, Route 66parallels the interstate highway.
