  1. Thanks for posting your positive experience at Motorhomes of Texas, Dougnorm. They sell hundreds if not thousands of RV's each year and of course there will be those that are not satisfied for whatever reason. There is a saying in business, "do a great job for a customer and they may tell one person; do a bad job and they will tell twenty people". We have all heard about Bob Tiffin and the great customer service you receive when buying their product but my friends with Tiffin products often need to drive to Red Bay to get the service. You don't necessarily get it from their dealers.
  2. The measurement most are concerned with is the depth. The Samsung RF197 is a counter depth model. Sub Zero ($$$$) also makes a counter depth. http://www.samsung.com/us/appliances/refrigerators/RF197ACRS/XAA
  3. There is a lot of good info on the Splendide website. http://www.splendide.com/support.htm
  4. Barefoot, Herman! Save those high dollar shoes.
  5. If your 40' DP is typical, it will have a rear camera. Thats what I use along with the side view mirror. Personally, I think its much easier to judge distance/clearance with the dinghy than pulling a 20' trailer.
  6. All is not wasted...try waving the magnet over the dash area. Got lights?
  7. Geo METHOD, Herman, METHOD! Have a great day, my friend.
  8. I don't know what motorhome you have, JohnJill, but some manufactures have used particleboard for their sub-flooring. I would not want to get that material very wet. I guess you would want to be prepared to be out of your motorhome for several hours with the a/c running to allow time for the carpet to dry.
  9. This is also my procedure, except I have never used any chemicals in my tanks. The real key is lots of water and not dumping until full/almost full. I also use the Geo Method a couple time per year...Google it if your interested.
  10. I also had a problem with the door handle. I called Fleetwood customer service, they emailed me a drawing of what I needed to do, I repaired it and moved on. Yes, it was an inconvenience, but I don't need another government agency involved in my day to day life. This is strictly my opinion and others can totally disagree.
  11. I trust the Freightliner Service Center in Gaffney; they are professionals. I've been quoted a time of 2 hours or less @ $85/hour plus my FCOC discount. I admire those of you who have the equipment and desire to do the heavy mechanical work on your motorhome, its just not something I want to do. Thanks for the info on jack stands, etc.
  12. Do you mean the tread has worn to half its original depth evenly around the tire or only on the edge(s)? Evenly is a key word. How many miles on the coach?
  13. By the time I buy a jack large enough, heavy duty jack stands and any necessary tools to perform this task, I will most likely save some money paying someone else to install the shocks. I'm glad to hear another good experience with the Koni shock.
  14. Now you know, Mr. Ernie. I'm finding that Ernie is not only a quality craftsman but a pretty decent rv tech too. Brett, you may remember its a pet peeve of mine. It is just common courtesy to let those that offered help know the results. I trust everyone had a safe and happy 4th celebrating our countrys independence.
  15. I'm not sure what the "new platform" Bill is refering to but my Android that is going on three years old has speech to text messaging and email. I too need the grand kids around to remind me which button to push.
  16. Fixed. My Deisel Bounder Forum buddies came through. Pull the fuse behind the t-stat cover, wait 15 seconds, replace the fuse and don't push any buttons for 30 seconds. It is now working properly. It is caused by RF interference from a fluorescent ballast going bad. Thanks for the help from all.
  17. Ernie said it was working fine. He went to lunch and when he came back the failure had happened. Thanks Ray.
  18. One problem, Rich, the motorhome is 225 miles away. Ernie Eckberg is installing new flooring. I can't be there until mid morning tomorrow. Thanks.
  19. Sorry about your swaying and bouncing down the road, Jim. When I was researching shocks, I read several reports with your same results with the Bilstien shocks. I selected the Koni FSD shocks, hoping for less bouncing and swaying.
  20. My mh is in the shop for new flooring. The installer called and said the a/c was not working. Symptoms: The t-stat will not control anything. The rear unit is running fan only and will not turn off via t stat. The front unit will not run at all. The stat does indicate temp. Since I'm not there I'm going off memory. I think its a Duo therm comfort control stat. I do have heat pumps. Any suggestions? 2008 Fleetwood Bounder Thanks.
  21. Mark, you can call Freightliner 24/7/365. 1-800-FTL-HELP
  22. Excuse me, Kay. What size tires go on a 10" wheel? I guess I should have been more precise in my statement- 205 65 10 load range E tires are not readily available. Pixtony, I'm glad you're protecting that Lexus, those are nice rides.
  23. Hi John, I don't know when you tried to download the FMCA mobile app; FMCA is currently doing a massive software update. That may be your issue. Web Site Maintenance: Some pages of FMCA.com will not be available from June 27 to July 7, while FMCA implements a new software management system. We apologize, in advance, for the downtime, and thank you for your patience.
  24. You may want to carry a spare tire for the dolly, 10" tires are not readily available.
