  1. Need to ask another question. Have you checked the Engine fan clutch assembly, is working properly. They do go bad over time and with the mileage, it could be an issue ,with it not engaging when it gets hot. Think checking the CAC would be a good step as it is mounted between the fan and the radiator and it could be plugged up with junk and that can cause issues with the engines high temperature issue. Note! The CAC should be cleaned each year along with the radiator. It is a lot easier to clean them more often the the cost of replacing them. The best way is to have the shop steam clean as doing the job wrong can damage the fines on the stack. Rich. Welcome to the Diesel RV owners Club!
  2. Wounding if you Cleaned the CAC when you cleaned The radiator? Also, is the radiator and CAC rear mounted. Have you checked the exhaust manifold for any cracks or bad head to Exhaust gaskets ? When was the engine Thermostat changed last? How many miles on the Coach? Have you checked the Turbo actuator for any damage ? Rich.
  3. Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! Could you post the Make, Model and Year of you RV for the group ! and the lock system currently installed. Rich.
  4. Doug, Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! It is a copy of the switch drawing for a 2005 Monaco chassis and it is close to what you have on your Coach. It offers the wire colors and a drawing of switches used, that are very close to the pictures you posted. Secondly the picture of the black disk you posted is a circuit breaker rated at 80 amps. I have not located the Data Sheet for them yet, but they appear to still be on the market, although a bit on the pricey side. I Hope this Picture helps, keep me in the loop! Rich.
  5. This is a file of sources to find out how the CAN(Closed Area Network) works on the Chassis of the newer Vehicles and even some of the older vehicles. This system was introduced around 2000 / 2005 model year chassis that allows all the different system modules to communicate with each other. The system is active between the ECM anTCM and the Dash display of the vehicles. It is in many ways like the computer networks you own to control everything in your smart house remotely. The newer the Car, Truck, RV the more complicated the systems are. The list is simple and there are many other sources of information. Depending on ones age , you might need to interact with your kids or grand kids ! The System information is not included in the owners manuals and many Service centers do not have the trained Tech's to work on this system. The biggest issue from my point of view is the fact that the system works on low voltage and the connection are exposed to the elements under the Vehicle Chassis. 6. John, Question. Is the inverter set in standby mode ? When the coach is connected to shore power? This should a low the inverter to start and supply power to the circuits it is connected to, when the inverter comes on line. If the inverter does not come on line then the inverter is not working correctly or the house batteries are not holding a charge or they are not connected correctly ! Is there an open ground connection between the batteries and the chassis ground, the common ground connection is missed at times when the batteries are reconnected or replaced. Rich.
  7. Jon, The one item you will need to get information on regarding changing the exterior lights to Led's is installing steering Diodes in the positive 12 volt supplies to keep them from back feeding other lighting circuits. Rich.
  8. Orrin, Welcome to the Fmca Forum ! You might look at this web sight for some pricing information. https://www.4statetrucks.com/engine-parts/semi-truck-ac-condenser-tri-pac-12-5-x-20-5-inch_180346.asp?gclid=CjwKCAjwr56IBhAvEiwA1fuqGpgD5Y06UIF7GXSGwHICBoUh9qhwaCBB4_6k76zBIz3FrgyLxRVHwxoC3zAQAvD_BwE Rich
  9. The unit is called VDU Module It was used on a number of Freightliner Chassis. Not common on the Monaco Chassis There should be a Red and Green 1/4 " lines connected directly to the dash gauges. Have you checked for an Air leak at the dash Red and Green Gauges. Does the low air buzzer, continue to buzz? It could be a defective Gauge or something is crimping the air supply line between the frame and coach floor! https://www.monacocoach.com/rv-owners-manuals Monaco Owner Manuals cover a number of the internal connection information! https://www.monacocoach.com/resources/media/manuals/2006_Dynasty.pdf Rich.
  10. Welcome to the FMCA Forum! you can Google High Quality Solar power sources. This should give you a good start on the size and parts kits to install the required system you hope to build ! Rich.
  11. Carl, I kind of thought the coach is equipped with smart wheel setup, The OEM system often used a fusible link to power the system. However, The OP does not mention any other issues ! and the picture offered does look like the proper wire colors for the turn and flasher wiring. So NAPA might be a good choice to find the item pictured ! Rich.
  12. Does the Coach have a smart wheel setup ? Rich.
  13. Welcome to the FMCA forum ! Could you post the Make, Model and Year of your coach for the group ? Rich.
  14. Simon3766, Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! Could you post the Make and Model numbers of your slide system installed on the Coach ? Rich.
  15. Jim, Welcome to the FMCA forum ! This is the controller for the auto leveling system if this is what is mounted on your coach ? If you look under the coach it is mounted on under the coach and is set up at the factory to the proper settings to level the coach . The cables run between this box and the controller mounted on the dash area of the coach. You should have an operators manual with the coach paperwork ! You could Google LCI.com and ask there technical staff questions. Always work safely under the coach by having jack stands under it Rich.
  16. We use the kids Bubble mix to find the air leaks. Works grate in a spray bottle, the size of the bubbles is helpful gauge regarding the size of the leak. A fine foam =s a small leak and the larger the bubbles, the bigger the leak ! Rich.
  17. Thanks Joe ! That could mean a defective Battery Isolator - 130 Amp , Alternator issues or the relay that others have mentioned . Rich.
  18. NavyJoe, Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! The first question I have, is do they charge while running the Generator? And if your in a campground tonight is the Charger / Inverter Charging the batteries ? Rich.
  19. Rowdy, Welcome to the FMCA Forum ! Think you need to offer some more information regarding the drive train! What trans mission is installed in the Coach? The biggest problem with increasing the Engine HP, is that going this way also increases the Engine Torque out put. Should the transmission not be able to handle the added HP numbers , You need to change the transmission, Drive train component's and maybe the rear axle and that can continue on and on !!! Rich.
  20. Yes welcome to the FMCA Forum ! You might try this information! The Navion System info is held close to the Vest. There is also a Rev Group Center in other parts of the Country, Rich. 21. Roger, I'm wondering if your gray water tank is equipped with one of these devices? They work like a one way valve to keep the black water fums from entering the coach. Just a thought! Link to some information. https://hepvo.com/ Rich, HepvO can be installed on a bidet and any other bathroom / kitchen application where a 1 ¼” or 1 ½” tubular p-trap is normally used. HepvO is not suitable for use on toilets which have a 4” trap built in as part of the complete fixture.
  22. C-898503. You mentioned that it happens when on the inverter. Is this correct? The inverter / charger units Both have . need a good Earth Ground when on the power grid or it will trip the GFI circuit breaker. YOU could have a loose natural wire at the main power box behind the panel . one needs to check them all (meaning all the screw connections in the box and the inverter output connections behind the 120 volt outputs from the inverter) Hope this helps find your issue ! Rich.
  23. Hi Rich, there is a gfi on the breaker itself for the back half of the coach outlets which never trips. The gfi breaker on the front half of the coach trips but only after I unplug from shore power. There are no gfi outlets installed because the breakers are gfi breakers. It sounds like you have a loose Ground Bus And the GFI senses the different value between the Neutral Side and the ground. Please understand the Coach is not connected to Earth ground when the Coach is powered by the Generator. Rich. YOU are seeing the results of a loose ground connection In the Main Power panel or possibly a bad ground connection at the inverter.
  24. When we disconnect coach from power the breaker for the front half of the outlets pops within seconds to minutes with nothing plugged in to outlets. Back half of coach outlets ok. Are both sections on the same GFI ? This statement has me confused. Generaly there is a single GFI unit in each circuit. Regarding the ATS ( Automatic Transfer Smith) The switch Switches the L1 and L2 power lines from the shore power and the Generator this relay is used to keep the 2 different Sources separated and the output of the relay is connected directly to the coach main circuit breaker Rich.
  25. The attached pictures might help locate them. Always work as there are static sensitive parts in the circuits. Good luck ! Rich. A secondary Note regarding this model charger / inverter. Xantrex also made a software up date to these units. Think it is serial number relative.
