  1. To really load test your batteries, it would be best to fully charge each one separately. Then load test it. This way if you do have one bad battery it will not give you a good charge. If you find one bad battery change both or all four depending on which bank you are testing. IMHO if one battery is bad the rest are soon to follow. Herman
  2. Richard, Thanks for starting the new Thread. It should generate lots of good information on tire life and safety. Herman
  3. Judy, You might try going to fmca.com and clicking on the dashboard. It is on the right side and looks like a speedometer. You should be able to find what you are looking for there. Good quilting, Herman
  4. When I wax the coach I will start with the Bay doors. I can open them and do each one of them at a time. When I finish the Bay doors I then do everything in between and below the side rail. Most all of this can be done standing or sitting on a short rolling stool. I then do all around all sides as far up as I can reach. By then I need Bengay and a very hot shower. And eventually I even get around to every place I couldn't reach standing up. I really don't like going up the ladder, do a area going down the ladder, move the ladder then repeat the same thing at least 20 times. (too frugal (aka cheap), to hire it done) Herman
  5. On our trip to Chandler last year we, three coaches, left Demming NM early (6:30) headed West. This was due to the forecast of very high winds. Just after we left Lordsburg, NM and crossed into AZ. We saw on the East bound side of I-10 they were stopping traffic due to the wind and dust. Three friends of our, also going West were caught in the Detour and had to go over 100 miles out of their way to avoid the wind and dust. At one time the coach in the lead, I was tailgunner, pulled over so quite suddenly. I had to pull past them. It turned out the the Middle coach saw the front coach lose his flat dish antenna. He said it looked like a flying saucer flying. But they did find it. But all in all it was a great trip with very good friends. Herman
  6. Sorry TimeT, I started this with a commit about the residue left on your windows when using a wash and wax product on coach windows. Then I digressed to the question about Bon Ami spray cleaner for windows. Wayne, Thanks for finding the ads. I was about to think I had only dreamed about the Bon AMi window cleaner. Sorry to have digressed from the Topic but again thanks Wayne. Herman
  7. Wayne, Don't get discouraged when going there it is way back in there, but quite and the stars are bright at night. Herman
  8. When we bought our farm there was a mobile home on it. So the first thing i built was a 40' X 50' Barn (Garage) with two 10' X 16' and one 16' X 10' overhead doors. We insulated the entire building. One we need it for Storage and two it stopped the monthly cost of storage. The facility we were in was covered but it was opened to the West sun that can be really hot in the summer here. We had 110 volt power on a 15 amp breaker that popped all the time. Couldn't get Doug to change the breaker, he said it was my fault that it continued to pop. We now have 50 amp with water and sewer. This week when it was in the low to mid 20's the temp inside didn't go below 48 degrees. Haven't had to winterize the coach in 7 years. As the old slogan goes, "Oh what a relief it is". So to answer Mark's question, we store inside but not climitized, not needed here. Herman
  9. Wayne, I was in Poche's RV Park in 2016 to Make a Chapter Presentation. Really nice Park and the porch on the Rally Room has Rocking chairs that make it feel like your own front porch. Herman
  10. rs, I to like to take the more scenic route when going to a new place. On our first trip to Perry in 2014 I decided to take Hwy 82 as far as we could from our home in Whitewright Texas. We can pickup 82 just 8 miles North. I had been on 82 many times across the bottom of Arkansas and into Greenville Mississippi. But not East from there. Through Mississippi we got to visit Tuscaloosa then Montgomery but the high lite was Tuskegee. The Tuskegee Airman Museum was a great inspiration. It was a one time trip. All of the roads through Mississippi were two lane with shoulders that were 18" max with drop offs. You had to be on your toes much more than normal. As I said one time trip that we wouldn't miss for the world, but will not do it again. Herman
  11. Ditto, the slides on our Dynasty will not operate with the key on. Herman
  12. Skyking, by some chance to you have a Trip Tec in your coach. If so you can see the Engine as well as the Transmission temperatures there. I very seldom look at the gauge, I just keep tabs with the Trip Tec. Herman
  13. Mud Bug = Craw Dad or as some might call them CraFish. Been a Craw Dad to me my whole life. There is nothing better than Craw Fish Etouffee over a bed of rice. MMMMn. Herman
  14. winbett, I have been running on Good G670 tires since we bought our coach in 2017. It is a 2002 Monaco Dynasty with a tag. They are what Monaco put on when new. They ride well and all have aged out before wearing out. G670s ar Load Range "H" with a Max Load Limit of 7,830 lbs @125psi. If you are anywhere near the Dallas Ft. Worth area let me know I have a great dealer for them. Herman
  15. Talk about a catch 22. Please let us know what you discover. Good Luck, Herman
  16. K, A lot of the sound that you hear my be in the doors. You could start by there by adding some soundproofing there. Herman
  17. John, If the Drivers side will work can't you get to the kick plate with it out? If this is your third motor then you must have another issue that is causing them to burn out. There may some binding in the slide and a new motor is strong enough to work when new but the strain is too much over the long haul. Does your owners manual say anything about a manual crank for the slide? Might be worth looking into. Herman
  18. Jennifer & Mike, Welcome to the Forum. Be sure and make room for the Forum get together on Friday the 16th. It will be in Seminar Room 4 at 5:30 PM in the Heritage Building. Come and meet others that are on the Forum. Herman
  19. John, Have you looked under your bed. Sometime the motor is located under a false bottom of the bed. It may be a sheared pin. Herman
